vbus - am thinking pumpkin pie but with real pumpkin. And bought short-crust pastry. But what if not nice!?

sfxmum · 28/10/2010 20:07

although I really resent the just leave it and spend more money on someone else

leftover don't last long at our house particular of the choc cookie variety

but with the no running plus plenty of carby food and assorted puddings dh insists on buying I will be unable to move in my jeans by this time next week
of course I am being forced to eat it allHmm

Sounds and looks nice!

Made pumpkin curry this week.

Maybe I'll just roast flesh and put in a lasagne

Sfx - good for you

vbus · 28/10/2010 20:12

Quite like the sound of the garlicky risotto

Any plans for halloween?

Walked past local pub today Anglers, sign saying kids Halloween party at 11am might go for that. Will just see how we feel though, 2 back to back parties on Sat so may just do nothing on Sunday

sfxmum · 28/10/2010 20:15

we were thinking of baking some cupcakes and decorate them possibly small party and trick or treating around the estate they are friendly generally speaking and there are a few Americans about who take it all seriouslyGrin

was looking at Harry Potter screenings and on the 19th they start at 9amShock all the way to 11pm

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 28/10/2010 20:29

I'd be very happy to go to see Harry Potter in the day while the kids are in school. Grin

vbus · 28/10/2010 21:18

Me too provided I can get my ma to look after Ds2 but can't do morning have something on with school but should be finished by 11am

sfxmum · 28/10/2010 21:46

Friday 10.30am? How long is the thing?

vbus · 29/10/2010 16:30

Hello

Can't do 10.30 but could do 12 or 13.00 showing or happy to go in evening

tillyfernackerpants · 29/10/2010 16:37

I could only do an evening show but if that's the preference then do that & I'll see it another time

Been to Kew today, C&C was actually not too busy & quite good fun Shock

UptoapointLordCopper · 29/10/2010 16:47

Just noticed vbus can't do mornings ... Can do later but obviously need to get back to school for pick-up ...

Did the pumpkin pie. It doesn't taste much of pumpkin but it's very nice.

UptoapointLordCopper · 29/10/2010 16:48

x-posts!

vbus · 29/10/2010 17:37

Copper - was that a good thing that it didn't taste of pumpkin? Grin
I can do another morning just not 19th as already committed to something else, but Tilly can't do mornings so shall we go for evening showing 8pm on 19th?

Failed dismally to get Take That tix today Sad

sfxmum · 29/10/2010 17:38

hello

lordcopper did that pie last year it was yum

vbus/ tilly/ LC am fine going either early or evening, school pick up to consider

our boiler saga continues he was here today and waited until it all seemed ok but a couple of hrs later it was back to usual problems
I think now our problem is I want to get someone else dh not so much, not worth arguing ver it is stressful enough

tilly surprised C&C not busy, I jogged past and saw the car park full

I need a rest now

OP posts:
sfxmum · 29/10/2010 17:40

vbus if I had known you were a TT fan I would have sent you the priority link someone kept offering I am not a fanWink

OP posts:
vbus · 29/10/2010 19:38

Sfx - all ok, my bro managed to get tix, phew Smile I have such random music tastes from thrash metal to Abba, but I do just love live music and they are fab live, saw them 15yrs ago plus got my Gary Barlow fix at charity gig last year!

Hope you get boiler sorted, I don't suppose the hammer hitting remedy has helped much Hmm

tillyfernackerpants · 29/10/2010 20:06

my very first live gig was a thrash metal band, I was prob 15 yrs old & my then boyfriend was really nervous about me getting knocked over & crushed Grin

vbus, glad you managed to get your tickets

sfx, C&C was busy but not overly so, easy to keep an eye on everyone, think as the weather was so mild everyone was more wandering the gardens

Re Harry Potter, I can only do evenings, earliest probably 7.30pm, but if everyone would rather do daytime/earlier then go ahead

sfxmum · 29/10/2010 20:53

on my night out with girlfriends before getting married we went to a trash metal pub a cabaret with a transvestite act which was hilarious and an indie club no idea where any were but guessing somewhere around SohoGrin

let me see if I can find links to Portuguese bands I listened to in my teens/ early 20's

OP posts:
sfxmum · 29/10/2010 21:13

loved
met the singer a few times very funny and off his head as you do

was special for my generation only because it was the first to start trying to make sense of the colonial wars and next one probably one of my first gigs but they are so so old now

Hello!

So dark. [hsad]

Group of treat-or-tricksters duly fed sweets. [hgrin]

School again. [hsad] [hsad]

Should I bake my Christmas cake now?

tillyfernackerpants · 31/10/2010 19:49

Ds1 has been trick or treating with some friends, he now has enough sweets to last until next Halloween [hsmile]. Am impressed by the effort some people go to (though their efforts terrorised ds1 tbh)!

Copper, supposedly 3 months before xmas is when you start making Christmas cake I thought so you can keep soaking it. Btw, what's happening in Ealing? Was there yesterday & loads of shops all closed & boarded up!
