did I mention dd voluntarily ate aubergine yesterday and declared it tasty? also tried some salad leaves and actually swallowed saying 'not bad'
praise be the lord of vitamins!

Shock at aubergine-eating. We've not managed that one yet ... I once managed to persuade DS1 to eat rocket on account of its name. And DS2 only wanted to try peas because he thought they were edamame. And I'm convinced they only like edamame because it's always served with a liberal sprinkling of salt.

tillyfernackerpants · 25/08/2010 12:34

I can't ds1 to eat any veg apart from carrots & broccoli, not unless its hidden in a sauce anyway!

UptoapointLordCopper · 25/08/2010 13:19

Vegetable-disguising is a very underrated skill!

Kewcumber · 25/08/2010 13:31

can't stand aubergine - vile stuff. But then I am a super-taster and therefore a bit of a delicate flower when it comes to stuff like aubergine Envy (thats a bilious face btw)

sfxmum · 25/08/2010 13:40

I do like aubergines,I like most vegetables anyway except celery find it revolting

she eats broccoli, sprouts and asparagus fairly well but I still do an all purpose tomato vegetable sauce, most useful I find

we are in Mary Poppins land today I think it is a protest to the plans of tiding up her bedroom this afternoon

sfx- are you around next week? Need to arrange to borrow camping stuff ... (I think we are going. Awaiting confirmation.)

sfxmum · 25/08/2010 13:58

we will be home for most of the day on Wednesday I think, then dd back to to school on Thursday and apart from school runs and jog I should be home I have a lot to sort out just text me

OP posts:
vbus · 25/08/2010 14:39

DS1 eats not all but enough veg incl. aubergine although he does go through phases of boycotting them. He stopped eating peas for ages but one day I told them I'd made extra special garden peas (not normal peas) and guess what he loves them again Grin The latest on veg hitlist is onion which is a pain as it's in most things I cook

Nice to see you KC and Sfx earlier, DS2 fell asleep mid muffin on the way home!

Kewcumber · 25/08/2010 15:53

blood result back - all normal. Everything, VitD, iron, platelets, blood sugars etc etc etc and I have the blood pressure of an 18 year old Grin

It won't last but I shall savour it whilst it does!

UptoapointLordCopper · 25/08/2010 16:41

Copper, the penguins were the best thing about the Madagascar films, they even got their own programme. Btw, did you make a decision on Hama beads? Grin

Had a panic today, realised it was dh's birthday tomorrow, cue last-minute present buying Blush

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/08/2010 17:29

Hurrah for KewC and her well-behaved blood!

UptoapointLordCopper · 25/08/2010 17:41

Yes, well done KewC's blood! Stay that way, or else.

Tilly - we bought some Hama beads ... What present did you buy? Roses and chocolate from garage? Grin

tillyfernackerpants · 25/08/2010 18:23

Tilly - LOL, excellent present choice!

Sfx - not mine. DS1 loves the boots, he asked if minisfx gave them because she knew that yellow was his favourite colour Grin Not sure he will get much wear out of them though as I think his feet are close to the end

Kewc - good news on test results!

Copper - only watched Madagascar, didn't realise there was 2nd one Blush

Might go to gym tonight as parents descending tom night for long wkend and I won't get much chance to go at wkend

UptoapointLordCopper · 25/08/2010 19:03

vbus - there's even a Madagascar christmas special featuring father christmas ...

Time to tell bedtime stories.

sfxmum · 26/08/2010 10:07

our plans for today are no more unfortunately but am a bit too fuzzy to come up with a suitable replacement

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 26/08/2010 11:33

No plans today except work a bit and have a nap. DS2 woke up three times last night - once because there was an imaginary long dragon under his duvet, once because he was scared, and once because he wants to go to the loo. >

sfx - camping going ahead! Will email you to arrange scrounging!

Kewcumber · 26/08/2010 13:09

We have Madagascar Xmas - excellent. We are off camping this weekend - wish us luck! Copper - I love my trangia.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 26/08/2010 13:25

DD is objecting to going to bed at the moment because she is "scary". Which is probably quite true, but I suspect not quite what she means.
