DS has Islabikes bike -- depending on size of child "first proper bike" is normally a Cnoc 16 or a Beinn 20.

We've been out and about this morning. Took DS2 out to enjoy last day of freedom - went to Bushy Park, Hampton Court maze ("DS2 what else do you want to see?" "The river." So that's what we did. It's free.) and then dim sum at Imperial China in Teddington where we probably bought all the egg tarts. Hoping to keep one for DS2's packed lunch tomorrow, if we can refrain from gobbling them all up.

Also Hampton Court maze not that impressive. Prefer the one in bunny park. And that one's free too.

sfx - nice to see you earlier. I am quite a competent driver, as long as I don't try to rely on my memory of where things are.

Will check out this doodle business after picking up DS1.

oh and DS is mornings only ALL TERM , though he will be going to after school club until 3 on Thursdays to get him used to it in case I ever go back to work

Dinner simmering on the hob and smelling very enticing. I think I'll eat early with the kids today.

sfx - those tarts are good, aren't they? Should have got more but they were beginning to stare at us. I don't know how to make them . What type of pastry is that? I can do English custard tarts but they are not quite right.

well I'd excluded the first weekend in Oct as too soon and last one as half term week. And Doodle very firmly says 5 dates should be enough to agree (so I went out on a limb a bit with 6!)

Have now Doodled! I could do last wkend in Oct although dates not shown. TBh Oct is looking a bit vague as DH will be in China for 1 mth , he doesn't have dates yet so probably best if you go ahead and pick a date and I'll just have to let you know nearer the time if I can make it...

I'm enjoying spending time with DS1 in mornings, he's now having a lot of firsts which is cute. Then he sleep when DS1 gets home so nice to have some time with him too. This afternoon they were both ganging up on me, aargghh, I wanted to run for cover

sfx - watched spooks last night. What a fun programme. Harry being a bit silly. And MN got mentioned.

DS2 in school. Walked right in. Was not even introduced to teacher. Teacher being swamped by other anxious parents. But I have not seen any evidence of organisational genius in this school.

Copper - LOL, good that DS2 went in alright

Sfx - poor DD, how is she feeling now? I guess Calpol season is just round the corner. DS2 seems to have a cold and is teething, yuk

Professor - did your Ds learn to ride on Islabike or did you get it once he'd learned to ride after practiscing on another bike? like the look of them but v.expensive, but the lighter bike really would help my Ds1 given he is such a lightweight himself

Have never watched Spooks, another boxset I will probably watch in about 10yrs time
