Gen. Beauregard Lee

Is it really sad that I like doing links the old way?

Cali, you sound like someone it would be so much fun to go have a few drinks with.

I didn't realise how compliacted wearing glasses is.

Eli Manning sounds very ungrateful and rather spoiled. I hate it when superstars set such a poor example - surely one of the important things about being a sportsman is showing good sportsmanship. I can't stand when children behave the way you say he did, Dooney. And for a grown man (or maybe a teenager?) to behave like that makes me quite annoyed. I'd have been tempted to take the shirt back and send him packing.

I didn't know there was more than one Groundhog either - I do think Phil was right though

I'm perfectly happy with smoothies and Shirley Temples, too, Cali. I really like Shirley Temples. A lot. Much more than a 34 year old woman should, methinks.

I didn't realize there was another groundhog trying to cash in on the fame, either, until this morning. The amazing things you learn on Yahoo, I guess.

chocchipcookie · 02/02/2008 21:47

I do know who Eli Manning is, I meant he looks like a 12 year-old...

dooneygirl · 02/02/2008 22:55

. . . and he acts like one too.

Whew. I was explaining him to Overrated, but not sure if you were joking or not, and thought I was an evil child-basher. Feel much better, now.

OverRated · 02/02/2008 22:57

Some of them look so young, don't they?

Meant to add, congrats on making the plunge to treat yourself to extra glasses, cali. I've got transitions for going in and out of the house and I do like them. They've got a new kind for the car that get dark behind the windshield but I haven't actually seen those yet.

OverRated · 03/02/2008 03:38

Twirl - are you about? Someone needs help in a holiday in MD.

Bugger. It's snowing. Again I have to go out in a suit in the morning. How can I wear a suit with snow boots ffs? I don't think my nice high heels will cope with the slush/ snow/ big 'orrible mess I'll have to wade through to get to the train.

What the h**l!? NO adverts on BBC2 SuperBowl coverage here!

Yeah, and like, I never thought I'd say it, but it's snowing in Denver and I'm so missing it.

Dammit.

Dammit - I was counting on that 50p, Califrau. It's amazing what a major sporting event can cure, isn't it.

I love the snow. But not when I need to go out and look nice

I might just lose some $$$, folks.

More fool me!

Well, hell.

I've got a couple of years to sort things out here.

But my inhertitence, oh they made it very clear last time they were here. It's there or nowhere.

And I have to admit, there is looking kind of good right about now.

chocchipcookie · 04/02/2008 12:26

Thank God that's over. I had twelve teens here last night shouting all the way through. And eating and eating. Ordered four dominoes pizzas, they ate tons of crisps and biscuits, then 20 choc chip cookies, then a huge bowl of popcorn. I am broke.

Dh watched the game but I wound up in bed by 8:30 I think I still haven't gotten caught up energy-wise from the pneumonia and then being up nights with ds2 and his ear infection.

I feel old...

Twirl · 04/02/2008 18:42

Cheers for the message Overrated - I have offered my assistance! MD is an odd choice for a holiday destination tho, much as I love living here.
Weather here is a mild 50F so I think I have got it better than alot of you at the moment. I'm dreading the summer tho when it is so hot and humid - I'm in the middle of planning our west coast vacation so I may be calling on some of you for help! Where are you all planning to vacation this year?

dooneygirl · 05/02/2008 02:04

I'm on the west coast. You need to come to Portland. Actually, you need to go to Seattle. I love Seattle. If you come my way just give a yell.

I am sooo floating right now. Been really sick with a high fever, and really bad cough. Guess what I have? Not just bronchitis, but bronchitis with an ear infection. Ear infection at 34. Ha ha ha ha. So I got me some nice non-narcotic cough pills for the day, and some syrup with codeine for the night. I'm a big lightweight. He was going to give me some Vicodin for the ear pain, but I told him I didn't go through 2 natural childbirths to take vicodin for some ear pain. I actually didn't even notice it that much, because the cough was so bad (both my eyes are totally bloodshot because I've coughed so hard I burst the blood vessels). Colin's got worse over the weekend, but it is pretty much gone today, so that is good. This is the 1st time since we've had kids that DH has come home to take care of them when I've been sick. Yay DH!!!!!!!

I love everyone right now!!!!!!!! Probably not so much tomorrow, because antibiotics make my stomach cramp and hurt. But I love everyone now!!!!!!!
