ceecee32 · 12/07/2023 15:15

My first time posting on your thread but been following you.
I had to smile about you 'slaying your alien' - I had blood cancer but when I had my chemo I used to picture hundreds of minions flooding into my blood stream and working to kill off the abnormal cells.
Still think of my minions every now again.
Hope your chemo goes well xx

AnnoyingPopUp · 12/07/2023 15:16

Hi Pamela and Kerr

What a lovely photo of you both 🥰

Well done on doing the first chemo. Such a huge emotional step as well as physical.

keeping everything crossed and sending you all the good vibes and love and everything positive that I possibly can xxxxxx

NuttellaAndPuppyLover · 12/07/2023 15:22

What a lovely photo of you both. And I'm so glad you're getting the support from your soulmate.

Agree with the others on the dry shampoo!

For me the run up to chemo was worse than the actual chemo so I'm hoping you can stand the drugs and that they slowly make you feel better.

However, more importantly, I hope they manage to sort out your pain medication. You can't carry on suffering this much. It's just not fair.

Onwards and upwards. We are cheering you on every step of the way, however small.

Nongatron · 12/07/2023 15:29

You are wonderful and amazing. I’m so delighted you’ve got your chemo. I always pictured my chemotherapy like a ninja kickboxing my cancer ( was a satisfying thought) Sending you and Kerr so much love and positive vibes from Dublin X

moggiek · 12/07/2023 15:36

Thinking of you all.

User5653218 · 12/07/2023 15:43

Great that your cancer is now being actively treated. I hope that gives you a boost. Chemo might make you feel sick but at least you know something is happening, hopefully that thought will carry you through

KeziaOAP · 12/07/2023 15:46

Well done lovely Pamela fighting through the pain to get to next hurdle. Lovely picture of you both.
Thinking positive thoughts, faith, hope, love.

Homebird62 · 12/07/2023 15:48

Thanks for updating us all and really pleased you’ve managed to start the chemo so you can kick cancers ass. Such a beautiful picture of you both and it is clear to see how much you love each other. Hoping the pain team will be able to manage your pain better when you see them so you can get more rest and be less exhausted. Thinking of you and Kerr (Mum and Jacob) and sending love and loads of positive healing thoughts your way ❤️

WinterCarlisle · 12/07/2023 15:48

Fab news, as we speak that nasty tumour is getting zapped! 🎉

HelpIcantfindaname · 12/07/2023 16:28

So glad to hear you have had a better day & are getting your chemo.

I read a book written by a man who had had cancer multiple times. He said when he was having chemo he imagined it was like little pacman men running around inside his body zapping the cancer cells. When I first started chemo & was feeling very sick I imagined that too - it helped me think the awful chemo was worthwhile cos the pacmen were killing it.

That is a beautiful photo of you & Kerr. You look amazing, despite everything you are going through.

Sending lots of love & strength.

I can't get on the new post right now. When I click on the link mumsnet says its lost it. I'm gona keep trying. Xxx

PS pic of my orchids to help you cheer you up. My grandson bought me this plant last year & the flowers fell straight off. I'm so pleased I've got it flowering again. Xx

What a lovely photo of you and Kerr, you both seem so emotionally strong - such a difficult thing to be going through. At least the chemo has started, I can picture it zapping the alien! I really hope the night's improve for you.
