So so pleased you have had good news. Sending positive love and positivity to you all ❤

uncomfortablydumb53 · 08/07/2023 13:58

Oh Pamela, I'm absolutely thrilled for you reading your update
The drain is already doing what it's supposed to do, and that's a lot of fluid gone!
You look so bright especially considering the OP was hours ago!
There is a plan for chemo to start in 4 days!!! Rest up before then
You could ask if there's any chance of a catheter, which would save your energy too
Much love to you and Kerr, and thinking of your lovely Jacob and your dear Mum

Thanks to Kerr for keeping your Mumsnet crew in the loop last night.

I bet Jacob is happier today today. As a mum to teenage boys, I'm keeping a special place in my heart for him.

Keep going Pamela, keep strong.

Whoop!Whoop! Pamela, I am so thrilled. You have created this wonderful village around you. Thank you, it's an honour to be in your company. Did you say you are a Liverpool fan? either way you are partaking in their anthem ' you will never walk alone'.

watermeloncougar · 08/07/2023 14:16

Wow wow wow!
This is the best news. Enjoy the cakes, rest up and let those drains keep doing their stuff. So pleased that things are moving in the right direction. The wonders of modern medicine plus of course the wonderful doctors and nurses delivering it.

Chaz59 · 08/07/2023 14:19

Wonderful news; happy birthday Pamela!

You were my first thought this morning, thinking how quickly life can change totally in just a matter of weeks and with no warning. Your strength is amazing, I am in awe of you - and Kerr too. Inspiring.

Wishing you more positive progress and sending love and courage to you from the other side of London. You are in my thoughts constantly.

HappyToWait · 08/07/2023 14:21

Brilliant news! Things will only get better from now if you keep going in that direction.
Thank you for sharing, thank you to your husband and to your excellent medical team.

cheezncrackers · 08/07/2023 14:22

I'm so delighted to hear your good news! That really is great that things are finally heading in a more positive direction. You look great too! Honestly, if you took away the oxygen tube and hospital gown you'd look completely normal.

Happy Birthday Pamela and I'm so happy you have something to celebrate aside from your birthday 🎂💝

AnnoyingPopUp · 08/07/2023 14:23

Delurking to wish you Happy Birthday Pamela, and all the love in the world. You are so so brave, and your love for your family (and theirs for you) shines through in your posts. You write so eloquently and have such vibrancy and poise in both your writing and your photos, despite feeling like utter shit - I couldn’t admire you more. Reading about your bilirubin numbers coming down today has brought a tear of joy. I’m willing those numbers to keep dropping with all my heart.
Hang in there lady. You’ve got this. xxx

Gingerbreadandtea · 08/07/2023 14:23

Oh Pamela, I'm thrilled to hear your update, in fact it made me feel quite emotional. After everything that has happened you deserve this so very much, and I can't understand how someone whose been through what you have been through can still look so beautiful. When all this is over, you are going to have to tell us your secret.😁
