Hi Pam, I haven't posted before because other posters say things much more eloquently than I do.
I've followed your journey since the first thread (although I don't get notifications in my email - hacked, full mailbox) so it's just when I have time to check MN I look for your threads.
I am sending you every single piece of strength that I have, every bit of peace that I have within me and all the love from the bottom of my heart.
My son is 19 and like you brought him up by myself with the help of my wonderful mum and dad. Connor was 12 when my mum passed from cancer in 2017 and although he was younger than Jacob and it was his gran, I feel I know how you are feeling about how he is coping. You are doing an amazing job of being his mum, don't ever doubt that. The courage you have displayed and the deep, loving, emotional link you have with him and your family is evident.
I just plucked up courage to post this evening to tell you that I think of you almost every day.
