So sorry that you are finding things so tough at the moment. Don't forget that you have been through an operation and that brings its own issues in the two or three days afterwards - add that to what you are struggling with anyway - it's no wonder you can't get a handle on the pain.
Sending you healing vibes and the wish that they can find a pain management regime that works for you soon so you can be more comfortable. 🌻

DollieBantrysPantry · 09/07/2023 17:38

That's the bit that has really shocked me. It's appalling. Some private hospital they are.

Gingerbreadandtea · 09/07/2023 17:58

I'm so sorry that you have had a really bad night, you have been through such a major operation and between that and the travelling its bound to take a toll. It horrendous that you are in so much pain, I hope that they have given you something strong enough now. Don't worry about Wed, you will be surprised how well you may be feeling in another day or so. As others have said don't worry about updating us, conserve your energy and try and rest if you can.❤

bearess1978 · 09/07/2023 18:05

Big big hugs Pamela. Thinking of you every single day ❤xx

TheNinthLock · 09/07/2023 18:11

Oh Pamela, I hope that they can get your pain under control as you don’t have to suffer like this.

RedDoughnut · 09/07/2023 18:33

I'm so sorry to read this.

We are all pulling for you Pamela.

I hope you can get the pain issue sorted. In fact I hope it's been done by now.

FudgeMcFlurry · 09/07/2023 18:34

I’m so sorry you’re having so much pain, will keep everything crossed the pain specialist/anaesthetist can get on top of it asap.

As a doctor I feel very saddened that we’ve let you down so much on this hideous journey you’re having, both in terms of earlier delays and now failing to sort out your pain. I’m very sorry and so hope you are more comfortable now.

Sending lots of love, support and virtual IV morphine if only that was a thing.

Lizzie in Oxford Xxx

AbsoIutelyLovely · 09/07/2023 18:39

I really think you should be conserving your strength at this point rather than updating, you just be totally exhausted especially on morphine. X

LongTermLurker · 09/07/2023 18:52

I'm so sorry to hear how much pain you're in. You've really been so brave with it all. I'm wishing so hard that they'll get the pain under control today, and you'll have a better night tonight, and a better day tomorrow. Really rooting for you xx

Bellajac · 09/07/2023 19:01

Pamela, you don't have to update us. Focus on conserving your energy and love for yourself and your family. We're all thinking of you xx

Naddd · 09/07/2023 19:02

Pamela what a kind hearted person you are i think if i were in your shoes the last thing id be wanting to do is updating strangers on mumsnet!

Though we are all rooting for you and glad of the updates.

Really hope they manage to sort out the pain for you.

Silkierabbit · 09/07/2023 19:03

Sorry you are in so much pain, there are a lot of drugs to help with that, hope they can get something that works to you quickly, when I had cancer surgery it was a giant orange tablet which looked like it was made for a horse which helped most with pain but it put you to sleep for 8 hours to. Hopefully the pain will reduce, mine did a lot.

With the chemo ask their advice but drinking lots of fluid if you can helps, at least 2 litres a day. I hope they can find a way to reduce lymphoedema. I had that in my foot after surgery and moving the foot helped but nothing like the scale you have. Though I am sure you are with people who know far more than me. Please don't worry about updating, just focus on getting better, it'll be getting through each day or hour at the moment. Sending lots of love.

Redburnett · 09/07/2023 19:05

I hope you feel better tomorrow.

sayitkindly · 09/07/2023 19:25

Thinking of you and your family, Pamela, and sending you all much love and positive, healing energy. Sorry to read that you have been in so much pain since yesterday and sincerely hope that it is brought under control soon. Please be kind to yourself lovely lady, rest as much as you can and know that we are all thinking of you, Kerr, Jacob and your mum. x
