I wonder how many Glastonbury attendees will have any idea what the Nova flag is about. Do they understand the significance? That people just like them, having fun at a music festival, were subjected to violence and kidnap? Very few, I'd imagine.

I saw Israeli and Palestinian flags flying high during Coldplay last night, which definitely cheered me. But I'm disappointed - though unsurprised - that I haven't seen any of the artists on stage make any reference to Nova.

Yes good to see the Israeli flags last night. I was disappointed Coldplay brought out a Palestinian singer, I didn’t think it was appropriate given music festival link. Shouldn’t expect much more from them though. It is sad how none of the artists have seemed to mention Nova festival also.

I actually think Coldplay got the tone right and he reached out to Israelis as well, and he seems to have been the only one that did.

I saw on X something about an Irish (or maybe N Irish, can't find the tweet now, sorry!) band called Kneecap (I mean, plenty to unpick there alone) getting the Glasto crowd to chant Free Free Palestine.

Kneecap are awful & so are their political views. They're from NI, but will say they're Irish. But hold out of date sectarian bigotry, e.g. "England out of Ireland" mince.

Plus allegations of sexual abuse has been made against at least one of them along with threatening people to keep quiet.

They're pro-Provo. And their name basically glorifies PIRAs favourite method of abusing young people.....blowing their kneecaps off.

Ugh.
