IVF - July Transfers

Hello,

I started a previous thread for May transfers, but unfortunately, mine was unsuccessful. This was my first transfer, fully medicated (lupron suppression, estorgen priming, progesterone, antibiotics, blood thinners, aspirin, prograf, and prednol), and with a euploid embryo so completely gutted. Anyone else gearing up for a transfer in July? How are we feeling?

@jenk91hope the cramps are better now. It's so hard as you're literally symptom spotting in this stage and when you have them you worry, and when you don't have them you worry! 😫

Thank you! I know it’s crazy isn’t it 🤪 I have pretty much constant period pains now but they aren’t super strong so 🤷‍♀️

Hi there! Joining this thread, I had my transfer on Monday so now in the TWW!! I haven’t felt a single symptom at all though so not feeling very hopeful at all..

jenk91 · 10/07/2026 16:49

Welcome @Kooky0105 , you’re only a few days behind me then! How are you feeling? When do you plan on testing?

OverTired26 · 10/07/2026 17:12

@CaribbeanCupcake- I took a flannel and used some water to get a bit fresher and all was totally fine 😂 but it was definitely my biggest concern! Especially with an hour's drive there!

OverTired26 · 10/07/2026 17:14

@Kooky0105- Hi! You're a few days ahead of me. I had zero symptoms with my first and successful pregnancy. Woke up the day I turned 6 weeks pregnant with horrific hyperemesis that didn't let up, but prior to that, not so much as a sore boob!!

My second pregnancy which sadly didn't continue, I had such an intense sense of smell from 6 days post transfer. Immediately knew and sure enough, got my positive. It really is so different each time!

TheBreezyKoala · 10/07/2026 20:59

Thanks for the lovely welcome ladies!

Hope the TWW isn't driving everyone too mad that's in it 🙈 I deffo find the second week absolute torture as my optimism usually fades daily 🙈🙈

Anyone taking cyclogest any advice/tips? Had been using PIO before first time using cyclogest and the nurse just said to 'expect it to be messy'

Dignity really and truly goes out the window!!

OverTired26 · 10/07/2026 21:02

@TheBreezyKoala- I'm on it three times a day. They told me either way of inserting was totally fine so I went for the back door. I did two in the front and immediately got thrush type symptoms and hated the mess. Zero issues this way around!

Also, random tip - keep it in the fridge. Mine started melting in the heat 😂

Kooky0105 · 10/07/2026 23:22

Thank you guys! My OTD is ages away on 20th July, so ages away.. my clinic insists on a 14 day wait. I’m finding it so hard this time around mentally! I’ve had one transfer before which was successful so I think in my head I can’t imagine being successful the second time around too. I don’t remember being so stressed last time in the TWW but this time it’s all I can think about, especially because I have no symptoms unlike last time! But you’re right, every time can be different so I’m trying to stay as hopeful as possible.. I’m going to hold out until OTD because I know if it’s negative I’ll be so upset especially with having to continue the medication. How are you guys feeling? Great tip re putting the Cyclogest in the fridge, mine has been melting too!!

Oh wow, 14 days does feel so long!
Im actually thinking I might also wait until OTD now, I was originally planning to test tomorrow (9dpt) and then thought I might test today, but in the end I’ve chickened out 😂 I think because I’m on so much medication, if it’s negative I’m going to really struggle to to keep taking it all!
Also this is my 4th transfer, 2 totally failed and 1 resulted in mmc, so I really cannot imagine it working

OverTired26 · 11/07/2026 10:35

@Kooky0105- that's the same day as my OTD! It is so so hard, I hate this part. I feel really positive one moment and the complete opposite the next. I can't seem to concentrate on anything else! No one wants melted cyclogest!

@jenk91well done you for waiting it out! I'm sorry it's been such a tough journey. I have everything completely crossed for you.

Kooky0105 · 11/07/2026 12:18

@jenk91 im also terrified to test for the exact same reasons! I actually did have some cramps last night but they’ve completely disappeared today so… I feel completely normal. I don’t know how to get through the next week and a half!!

@OverTired26 test day twins! Gosh the melted Cyclogest is the worst! I think also the heat doesn’t help, I just feel hot and bothered all the time

any symptoms for you both?

CaribbeanCupcake · 11/07/2026 12:21

My clinic say to wait 16dpt to test 🙄 it was 13 last time and I only just managed that, can't imagine waiting til day 16 and honestly I feel like my period would have started way before then. On my fresh transfer I didn't even get to test as my period came on day 10 😫

jenk91 · 11/07/2026 12:49

@CaribbeanCupcake 16!!!! That’s crazy, I don’t know how anyone can be expected to last that long!

@Kooky0105 i think we are in a lose lose situation aren’t we, we second guess absolutely everything and we just have to ride it out! Today I am constantly thirsty no matter how much I drink, but I’m on prednisone so I reckon that plus the heat is doing that.

Kooky0105 · 11/07/2026 15:16

Omg 16 days is crazy! I’m already struggling so much with 14 days!! It’s so hard to know what’s the heat and what’s the medication and what’s a possible symptom… I’m so tired all the time but I genuinely think that’s the e unbearable heat!!

TheBreezyKoala · 11/07/2026 21:18

@Kooky0105 the single only symptom I had during my positive cycle was unbelievable tiredness! Have everything crossed it works 🤞🤞 literally slept all night, had to call into work sick as I couldn't lift my head, then slept all day and again that night!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞✨✨✨✨✨✨

BlueberryBug · 11/07/2026 22:11

Hiya all,
I’ve been following the thread for a while but have been too nervous to join in. Think it may help with the testing impatience and calm my brain.

I am 7dpt with a 5 day embryo, we’ve had a faint line on a test on day 5 and one on day 7 on a digital test. I was so excited and wishing all was good, but I’ve now been wrapped up in the chemical pregnancy worry and can’t get out of my head. Is it still okay to feel happy about this positive and a slight relief or too soon??

I am due to test on day 10 I’m hoping 3 days doesn’t make that much of a difference?? I kept saying to my partner I may as well enjoy the joy as it is for now and if it’s not then we deal with that when it comes.

Also cyclogest is the worst, the heatwave is the worst with it too! Definitely took the fridge advice 🧊

Symptoms at the moment are slight cramping on right side, tad bit of nausea today and since day 4 really heavy sore boobs. Also tiredness!!!! Oh my goodness I feel like I could sleep for days.

Sending you all so much baby dust and best wishes on this intense journey✨✨

Kooky0105 · 11/07/2026 23:30

@TheBreezyKoala no way, this sounds exactly like me! I actually took a day off work last week just to nap 🤣

huge congrats @BlueberryBug that is such amazing news!! I honestly think 7dp5dt is more than accurate enough, I really hope you get the same result when you test at 10 days! Also your symptoms sound spot on!

jenk91 · 12/07/2026 09:46

congrats on the positive test @BlueberryBug!

I decided to test this morning and it was negative, so that’s it for me. I think I will need to mention to the clinic about how awful my cramps have been, I’m thinking it might be the Lubion, but it can’t be normal! Although right now I don’t even know if I want to keep going on this journey, it all feels so hopeless.

wishing everyone the absolute best of luck 💜💜💜

TheBreezyKoala · 12/07/2026 11:44

@jenk91 im so sorry to hear this. Unless you've been through a negative cycle, nobody can quite understand the pain. Iv been there recently and couldn't believe how hard it hit me. Be kind to yourself and feel what you need to feel. Deffo no pressure to make a decision on future plans yet, it's a lot to process this cycle and today's results. ❤️ I hope you have lots of support and people around to spoil you ❤️

Kooky0105 · 12/07/2026 14:00

@jenk91 i’m really so sorry to hear this. Sending you so much love today, you are so strong for going on this journey - it’s not for the weak! Always here if you need to chat 🩷 I hope you have people around you and supporting you today

OverTired26 · 12/07/2026 22:34

@Kooky0105- Definitely agreed on the hot and bothered! The only symptom over here are incredibly painful boobs as of today. Though that's likely progesterone! You? I could also sleep for a week but that I put down to the sleep thief of a 4 year old!

@CaribbeanCupcake- day 16 is madness!! Sorry to hear you came on early last time 😞

@BlueberryBug- Congratulations on your positive! I know how hard it is but for now all is well so try and soak that in.

@jenk91- I am so sorry. 😞 sending you all the gentle thoughts for now. Try not to worry about whether you're likely to try again etc, all you need to do now is just be. Process and grieve this cycle. Do whatever you need to get through it. The future can wait! Thinking of you.

@OverTired26 happy it's so much cooler today! I have no real obvious symptoms tbh.. I am feeling shattered all the time, have been having a nap every day since transfer even though I'm not usually much of a napper. And I've been having period-type cramps every evening since Friday but they go completely in the daytime. But they are quite strong i.e. I always think it's my period coming.. I also thought I was feeling bloated but realised in the mornings it's completely fine so it's clearly just all the food I'm binge eating just to pass the time away!!

One more week until OTD and I have completely lost my mind. I don't actually know how to do another week. I think I've read every possible MN thread on FET TWWs hahah. I did actually msg my clinic to ask if I could test earlier as I feel AF coming and they said no.. not quite sure what I expected with that tbh LOL

On a separate note, my clinic told me to stay away from anything fragranced and any lotions during the TWW. I feel like this is a bit OTT, I definitely didn't do that last time. My skin feels soo dry, and not wearing SPF or deodorant in the heat feels criminal haha. Has anyone else been advised of this?

HappyMamma2023 · Yesterday 18:47

Hi everyone hope we all doing well and enjoying the sun! I've started the meds and have a scan booked it tm morning. I've been eating so heathily and then had an ice cream 3 days in a row! But going to keep on track now

CaribbeanCupcake · Yesterday 19:47

@jenk91im so sorry lovely. Just remember you don't need to make any decisions now just take some time out and feel everything you need to. We are all here for you 🩷

@BlueberryBugCongratulations fantastic news! and welcome to the group!

I have started my period today so day 1 of the medication and scan booked for next week... feels like a lifetime away 😆 trying not to stress and just go with the flow but it's hard!
