IVF - July Transfers

Hello,

I started a previous thread for May transfers, but unfortunately, mine was unsuccessful. This was my first transfer, fully medicated (lupron suppression, estorgen priming, progesterone, antibiotics, blood thinners, aspirin, prograf, and prednol), and with a euploid embryo so completely gutted. Anyone else gearing up for a transfer in July? How are we feeling?

@OverTired26 the estradiol made me absolutely crazy! My emotions have been so up and down, last night I cried at downton abbey movie, like really sobbed 😂 I’m hoping my other meds kick in soon and make me feel more balanced

@PearOpal my clinic usually scan you on day 12 of estradiol and if lining is good then transfer is a week later. My lining wasn’t ready at my first scan, so I had another week wait for another scan, and then they booked in transfer a week later, which has felt looooong. But I guess many clinics do things slightly differently!

About to do my FET in July, first fresh one failed in 2022 and my first frozen one is currently going through the terrible twos! 🙈 Trying for a sibling but we only have 2 embryos left. Not sure how I'm feeling to be honest but obviously hoping for the best 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I had my collection in early May, got 5 embryos out of it which I'm happy with. I had to wait 2 periods before I got my transfer due to being at risk of OHSS and so on, so hopefully transferring mid-late July? This will be my first transfer.

Congratulations! It's a weird old time but I promise it isn't half as hard as the full IVF hog. I started progynova on day 3. Scan on day 10 and then transfer 5-7 days later if my scan shows them what they need to see. I feel like i recognise your user name but may well be mistaken! It's been a long time since I was last active on a board like this.

@jenk91- It's awful isn't it?! A complete lack of appetite and constant sobbing are my only two symptoms. I cried at nursery drop off this morning, causing the SENCO to call me in early for a chat. My DD who's 4 has some difficulties which we are working on but it was hard to tell her that most my crying was simply from hormones and a need for a nap!

Wishing you all the luck, both with the FET and terrible twos! Does it help to know that I took my first medications for a sibling while my daughter screamed in my face from a meltdown? 😂 it's a different kettle of fish when it comes to number2!

Good luck everyone who is starting. Im still waiting on my period. Though im starting to have second thoughts about doing another cycle. I feel I already know what the outcome will be.

😂 the line being repeated daily in our house at the moment is "are you suuuuure you want another one?" I hold onto the fact that they are all phases!

The only way to do it! My favourite is "nothing ever lasts with kids". Unfortunately this goes for the good and the bad. 😂

I've just had my tracking scan. 8.8mm Trilaminar lining so we are good to go! Sadly all slots on Tuesday are booked so transfer is on Thursday at 2. Hope everyone is doing okay!

That’s great news! Just think how juicy your lining will be by Thursday, all ready for that embryo!

I have my transfer tomorrow morning and have an overwhelming anxiety that it won’t survive the thaw, I think because it’s my last one so there’s nothing to fall back on

4 days late for my period so far. No signs it is coming any time soon. How is everyone else?

Oh this is super frustrating. I've been late for every single cycle when having treatment. It's like my body knows! This time I came on a bit earlier. Which is wild considering my 22 year history of being bang on 28 days for EVERY other cycle!

@jenk91- I know that feeling, it's such a wild ride. Are you an early tester?
I'm alright thank you. Starting progesterone tonight. Plodding along and feeling like the days are 9 years longer.

@OverTired26 no I have previously always managed to hold off until 9dpt, and the one transfer that worked (albeit not for long) I had a very decent line at that point, so that’s the date in my head.

Thats good, getting closer, when is your transfer?

My Day 1 is today so I've started my IVF meds! Feeling a mixture of emotions but staying hopeful

@jenk91- I'm terrible. I tested positive with my daughter on 4DPT in the evening and 5DPT with the one I lost. So I'll likely torture myself!
Transfer is booked for Thursday!
