IVF - July Transfers

Hello,

I started a previous thread for May transfers, but unfortunately, mine was unsuccessful. This was my first transfer, fully medicated (lupron suppression, estorgen priming, progesterone, antibiotics, blood thinners, aspirin, prograf, and prednol), and with a euploid embryo so completely gutted. Anyone else gearing up for a transfer in July? How are we feeling?

Apologies for checking out here for a while, the HG has kicked my butt. Congratulations to all our recent BFP's and transfers!

@ASGIRC- How are you getting on?

@Cornish13- Sorry you're getting your butt kicked with all the meds, I feel the same. I could sleep for a week (if that was the done thing with a 4 year old...!)
All of the 7pm bedtimes and PJs for you. It's the only way.

I have a 5 year old and she’s not understanding the “I feel like death” vibe 😂 I also had a trigger shot this time as well so not sure if that’s also messing me up! Makes having to do IVF that bit more frustrating as we put ourselves through this hell for potentially nothing, needs must and all that 🙄 how many days past transfer are you?

OverTired26 · 01/08/2026 19:37

@Cornish13- Thankfully a vinted order of a few new paw patrol pups has kept mine in a very happy world of her own for the most part!

It's horrible though as she can see I feel crap and is obviously worried, despite my assurances that I am fine!

It really is a killer, Thankfully I never suffered too much with the IVF/FET meds, but really get hit with hyperemesis. When I had my last pregnancy which sadly ended in a missed miscarriage, I remember thinking "£3.5k, 7 weeks of constant sickness and for what.. a sad mummy for a while? That's a crappy deal for my daughter!". But I know it'll be worth every second if it works.

I had transfer back at the beginning of the month, I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow! Viability scan on the 12th.

Oooo mines on the 12th as well 🤞🏻✨

Eeek! Do you think you'll hold out til then?

TheSparklyAzureJoker · 01/08/2026 21:55

To be completely honest, I did not hold out - I've been testing every day since 6dp5dt. The first times I've ever seen positives have all been in the last week, it's a bit unreal and I'm so grateful.

The picture is today's test on OTD, being 11dp5dt.

Eeek! Do you think you'll hold out til then?

I’ve told myself I’m going to test on the 10th! We go away on the 7th and I don’t want to ruin the holiday by being sad if it’s negative. So I’m going to try and stay in my bubble until the 10th 😬 you?

ASGIRC · 02/08/2026 14:42

{mention:thislittlestarhere}@thislittlestarhere sorry for the tag, but for some reason I can't remove it... 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

@OverTired26 welcome back! I was worried about you! Ugh HG really sucks... Are you still working or have you been signed off?

I'm feeling fine, if tired. But is that the progesterone, or the toddler?! 😅

Today's test was a bit weird... The cheapie wasn't any darker, but the clear blue one was darker than yesterday's!

And the cheapies are expired , so that could be it. I really don't need stress about line darkness, though 😂
OTD is tomorrow, anyway.

@TheSparklyAzureJoker congrats!!!

Bless you @ASGIRC- thank you. I'm just wiped out! I've just been signed off. I tried to work from home but couldn't even manage that. Glad you're feeling well and what a lovely line! Congratulations!

I got my CB digital delivered today and got 3+ weeks. I got caught out by the hook effect today too.. the line was lighter, until I diluted it with water and then went back to blazing positive!

ASGIRC · 02/08/2026 19:14

@OverTired26 what are you doing these days? I assume not OR nurse? Cause I don't see how working from home would work doing that 😂😂😂
Unless you're band 7 now?

Hahaha love that you're still testing!! I think last time I gave up at d14pt or something like that.

This time I'm going on holiday next week, and I won't be taking tests...

And then, all going well, I'll have my scan early the week after I come back (I'm going for 2 weeks!)

The weird cheapie tests:

OverTired26 · 02/08/2026 19:27

@ASGIRC- I'm the education lead now! Ahah, yes not the typical role for working at home! Good remembering though!

That's all very exciting! 11 days and counting until my scan.

Ah yes, I think they're the one step ones. Mine were super light on there in the beginning! Took longer to be obvious on them.

How strict is everyone being with progesterone timing? Is everyone doing set times?

TheBreezyKoala · 02/08/2026 19:56

Ah Congrats to all on the positive tests so exciting for you guys!! 🥰 Proof all of this is worth it eventually!!

@OverTired26 i take the progesterone at the same time morning and evening at the moment however if I was lucky enough to get a positive test I think I'd ease up on being so strict to be honest!

OverTired26 · 02/08/2026 20:04

@TheBreezyKoala- I was super lax with my daughter which obviously worked, but I've spent almost 4 weeks being super strict 8 hours apart, which is hard because my last dose is 11pm and I am SO TIRED.

ASGIRC · 02/08/2026 20:13

@OverTired26 yes, they're something like that. It was just weird that today's test was less dark than yesterday's. But I think it's a gap in the line.

The clearblue was definitely darker, though.

As for the progesterone, no, I go on rough timings.

Usually 7am for the morning, 3pm for the afternoon and bed time for the night (between 11 and 12am), but today's morning one was at 8, the afternoon was after 4...yesterday I was at the pool, so I didn't even do the afternoon one 😂

OverTired26 · 02/08/2026 20:27

@ASGIRC- With those lines even a glass of water would also be the difference. The clear blue one has beautiful progression so agreed no worries there!!

I've been doing 7am, 3pm and 11pm religiously but I just want to take it now and sleeeeeep. I was so haphazard with my first one and had my daughter. I don't know why I'm being so strict this time!

thislittlestarhere · Yesterday 10:18

I still have the faintest line from my trigger (23 July) so now just testing daily to see if it darkens as I don’t think it’ll fade out completely before a potential pregnancy would start producing hcg. I feel so anxious that it won’t work 😭

ASGIRC · Yesterday 10:19

@OverTired26 yeah, but there should be SOME progression.
Today's test was no better...

However, today is OTD, I'm off to the clinic in a bit to get my blood drawn
That will give ne a clear picture.

My tests are expired, so they might not be picking up the HCG... Or so I hope... Didn't have another clearblue for today 😂

But might buy some more today, depending on the beta... Also will do another, if the number isn't high enough...

OverTired26 · Yesterday 10:50

Ah sorry, I missed the point where they were expired as well...!

I think a lovely progression on an in date test outweighs lack of progression on out of date ones!

Happy test say. Hopefully the beta shows a lovely and reassuring number.

TheBreezyKoala · Yesterday 11:54

@ASGIRC best of luck with the beta 🤞✨ I'm 3dp5dt and have period pains already 😩 hopefully it's just side effects of the progesterone 🤞 so hard not to watch for symptoms 🙈

ASGIRC · Yesterday 12:29

@OverTired26 yes,that's the hope too!

I bought a new clearblue on my way back to work, and with very diluted pee, the line doesn't seem any darker than yesterday's 😅
But this was after drinking nearly 1L of water earlier, so I trying not to read too much into it 😅😅

It's crazy how much we obsess over these little things.

The symptoms @TheBreezyKoala !!! They mean NOTHING at this stage, and yet...! I glad to say I pay no attention to them, as I get none this early on (and I don't havd period symptoms either).
Also, your period is supposed to come on d9pt, which is the 29th day of the cycle (if your cycle is 28 days, obvs!) so unless you have a really short cycle, it's probably not that!!

TheBreezyKoala · Yesterday 12:38

@ASGIRC thank you I needed to hear that!!! 😂😂 You're so right the symptoms mean nothing but I was CONVINCED I felt my DS implant on our successful cycle. I was triggered with hcg cycle day 9 so this would be a short cycle but I know you're right none of it means anything 😵

Glad to hear your test was positive even with lots of water 👏👏🙏

ASGIRC · Yesterday 12:52

@TheBreezyKoala unless you're @OverTired26 there who started having HG on d6pt or something stupid like that, a few years ago, they don't mean anything! We're taking so much medication, it's impossible ro tell.

I also thought I felt the implantation with my DD! Didn't feel a thing this time around, and I have clear positives! So keeping my fingers crossed for you!! It's still early days!

CaribbeanCupcake · Yesterday 14:58

TheBreezyKoala · Yesterday 11:54

This is me too! I was doing so well with keeping busy and not obsessing and then last night and today I've been so crampy and now I feel so negative as I never felt this with my DD 😭 I am on a higher dose of progesterone and everything I read says it's that but honestly I feel so out now 😫

OverTired26 · Yesterday 15:28

@TheBreezyKoala- Positive test = HG for me. And even that didn't end up being a positive sign. So I really try not to read into it now. Smile I was sure I felt implantation last time and it was a failed cycle. Sure I didn't this time and BFP!
