Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone else is having a frozen embryo transfer this month and wants to share the experience together.

I started oestrogen tablets and patches last week, and will have my first lining scan this Tuesday. All being well, transfer will hopefully be the middle or end of the following week.

Despite an extremely high collection and fertilisation rate, we’ve only ended up with one euploid embryo so feeling very nervous about our chances. I’m 40 years old and been having fertility treatment (IUI, IVF, ICSI) for three years now. No children.

Please do join in if you are also having a frozen embryo transfer this month as it would be good to chat.

Hello 👋🏻 I am having my 2nd FET on Wednesday (have had two fresh, one frozen- all failed) have you had previous transfers?

I’m feeling a bit negative given previous transfers. How are you feeling?x

MyAgileZebra · 04/01/2026 18:56

Hi, I am on day one of my third and final transfer. My first ended in MC and second didn't implant. I tried again in December but was cancelled as my lining wasn't thick enough. I'm now on a lot of extra meds to thicken it up so 🤞🏼.

ItsAJourney · 04/01/2026 22:39

Hi both! Sounds like we’re all in similar boats.

Wow, @YourTipsyDog, that’s so exciting! It’s really normal to be feeling nervous because of what has happened before - I’m totally the same - but this is a brand new go so sending you all the positive vibes! Did you have your embryos PGT-A tested?

I’ve had one transfer before. I’ve previously had four IUIs, the second of which worked but resulted in a MMC at 10 weeks. Moved to IVF, and I’ve had three egg collections. The first one we had no blastocysts. So moved to ICSI and we got three blasts - transferred one and it didn’t work so subsequently tested the remaining two and they were found to be abnormal. Moved to a new clinic and this time we got two blasts but one tested as normal. It’s not the highest grade but then it’s made it this far so I don’t know what to think.

Sorry to hear that @MyAgileZebra. I’m sending you all the luck that this one will be the one! What meds have they got you taking this time?

Hi all can I join also started my prep meds on the 2nd jan ready for transfer the 15/16th this is my final transfer as none left, had 5 early miscarriages and 4 failed and 4 egg collections last cycle was sept collection and fresh transfer early miscarriage get nov failed and now back in Jan, I’m currently taking bone broth alongside beetroot and pom juice, had a endometrial scratch done in December ready for this month

MyAgileZebra · 05/01/2026 18:08

@ItsAJourney Sorry to hear you've had such a tough ride. Hopefully this is the one. This cycle I'm taking on top of the usual;
Pentoxifylline (blood thinner)
Tocopherol (Vitamin D)
Sildenafil (Viagra)
2 X oestrogen patches
And Inhixa after transfer

Mine isn't the highest grade either but they never say what grade it is.

@camelinastorm sounds like we could be transfer buddies. It is so tough isn't it, sounds like you've had a tough journey too. I did beetroot and pomegranate juice last cycle but it didn't seem to help and I hate it so I haven't got any this time, will probs get some.

Have any of you had issues with lino g thickness?

ItsAJourney · 05/01/2026 20:44

Welcome @camelinastorm! That sounds so tough. I really hope this will be the one that works for you! I haven’t got any of the juice yet but I may pick some up too as it can’t harm to try it.

Wow @MyAgileZebra, that’s a lot of different things, but this could be the right combination that does the trick. I’m just on Oestradiol tablets and patches, and will then do two types of progesterone injections - Lubion and Prontogest.

Update following my first lining scan this morning - lining has thickened nicely and ovaries are quiet so all being well, transfer will be next Tuesday 13th. However, the scan showed a white patch of something that shouldn’t really be there. Most likely thing is a polyp but nurse said it could also be a little bit of blood or something that may disappear. So, what should have been a straightforward scan, now means it has to be reviewed by my consultant and will most likely mean I need to go back for a follow up scan for them to check themselves. They’ll call me later to update me on what they want to do next.

I just can’t believe our luck, or lack thereof!

Hello! Hope you don’t mind me joining too.
I’m waiting for my period to start to have my baseline scan for our frozen transfer, my period last month was 11 days late after my first failed fresh transfer.
Should be due any time between today and Saturday.

I’m terrified for this frozen cycle as our fresh was unsuccessful and we only have one embryo frozen.

Hope your all doing well x

camelinastorm · 06/01/2026 18:36

@MyAgileZebra i have my lining scan on Thursday so will get the exact date
this transfer timeline seems to be going so fast I totally forgot to book my scan as it’s come round so fast I’m currently on 4 oestrogen tablets per day trigger injection Saturday if scan goes well
@ItsAJourney did they say it’s tri layered though as that’s the biggest thing my clinic say

ItsAJourney · 06/01/2026 18:48

Hi @startingivf, of course you can join too. You’re in good company here as it seems like most of us are having our only/last embryo transferred.

@camelinastorm Yeah, that’s why it is so frustrating. It’s got the three layers, it’s the right thickness and my ovaries are quiet. So basically perfect for what we need it to be. It’s just that they’ve seen a ‘patch’ on the lining that they think might be a polyp. Clinic called me earlier to say consultant has reviewed the scan and they want me to come back in on Thursday morning. If they’re happy then I will start the progesterone on Friday ahead of the Tuesday transfer but I’ve got a feeling they might tell me we have to cancel the cycle due to whatever this thing is that is showing up on the scan.

MyAgileZebra · 06/01/2026 18:49

@camelinastorm my scan is the 15th too. I expect I'll have to wait an extra few days for my lining to thicken up.

@ItsAJourney it sounded so positive until then, hopefully it will be gone by your next scan 🤞🏼

@startingivf welcome, I think most of us are on our last embryo. Have they changed anything from your fresh transfer?

@YourTipsyDog All the best for tomorrow, hope it all goes well.

YourTipsyDog · 06/01/2026 19:58

Thank you @MyAgileZebra I am not going in to it with any hope unfortunately. I’ve tried to muster some but it’s not coming! All the best to all of you x

MyAgileZebra · 08/01/2026 12:23

How did it go @YourTipsyDog ? I know how you feel, although I think some of it is self protection so I'm prepared if it doesn't work.

YourTipsyDog · 08/01/2026 12:32

Hi @MyAgileZebra thank you for checking in. It went fine (bit painful) and my blood test results for my progesterone have come back as a lot higher than last time. I don’t know if that makes much difference, but I think any change sort of makes me feel a bit more hopeful. How are you getting on? Are you doing a medicated FET?x

MyAgileZebra · 08/01/2026 12:44

@YourTipsyDog that all sounds promising, do you know what grade it is? My clinic never really say what grade it is they have just said this one has less cells than my last one which has made me a bit sceptical. Yes medicated FET. I'm on a lot more meds this time, they don't usually bother me but I'm really tired and very ditzy.

@ItsAJourney have you had your appointment?

YourTipsyDog · 08/01/2026 12:53

@MyAgileZebra That’s odd because I’m also feeling dizzy for the first time on the same meds I’ve had before…I’m on predisnolone which I think might be causing it.

I think it was graded 2 2 which means nothing to me, everyone else seems to use letters? I’m not paying that too much attention though, I’ve had some graded really well through caremaps and they’ve failed, tried embryo glue and none of that made a difference so I’m just hoping for sheer luck now!

ItsAJourney · 08/01/2026 13:19

@MyAgileZebra Yep, had a scan with the consultant this morning. She did the normal scan and a 3D one. She doesn’t think it’s a polyp and more likely an endometrial fold. If the latter then she said that wouldn’t have any impact on us proceeding. She said it’s measuring 5mm so even if it were a polyp, they would usually still go ahead unless it’s 10mm and bigger. However, because we only have one embryo, she said they may choose to be extra cautious and cancel the cycle so it can be investigated further so I have the most perfect cavity. It sounded like she was leaning towards the transfer will be going ahead next week, but it’ll now be discussed with the rest of the team and they will phone this afternoon to let me know. So, we wait again!

camelinastorm · 08/01/2026 14:20

Hi all so had my lining scan done today it’s at 10.8 and no issues found so looks like we are on for next week for my final transfer

ItsAJourney · 08/01/2026 21:49

Bad news I’m afraid - consultant phoned this evening to say they had reviewed the latest scan and they believe it is a polyp. So, transfer is cancelled and instead I have to have a hysterescopy to see if it is 100% a polyp and, if so, to remove it. They said if we continued on with the transfer and it is a polyp as they believe it is, that it would reduce our chance of success by a third. With just one precious embryo, we just can’t take that risk.

OP posts:
YourTipsyDog · 09/01/2026 06:37

@ItsAJourney thats obviously the right decision but still hard to delay when it’s something I’m sure you’ve waited more than long enough for. Hoping that the hysteroscopy can be done soonish for you x

MyAgileZebra · 09/01/2026 08:08

@ItsAJourney sorry to hear that, at least they spotted it early. Hope you get an appointment quickly.

@camelinastorm that's a great result. I'm exactly 1 week behind you, my scan is next Thurs.

SprinklesOfHope · 09/01/2026 09:33

Hi everyone hope you all doing well. I have just had my monitoring scan and looks confirmed for my transfer next Thurs 15th.

this will be my second transfer after my first ended in a chemical. This next one is our only one from the cycle and is a worse grade than the one that ended in a chemical and also got a poor ‘care maps’ score which is something the clinic give. It is a euploid but so was our last one so I’m not feeling hopeful

as you may tell I’m holding onto a lot of scars from the previous cycles so mentally finding this one quite hard but trying to take it day by day. Wishing you all the best and hope this is a lucky month

xx

camelinastorm · 11/01/2026 17:16

@SprinklesOfHope oh wow same day as me it feels like it’s come round so fast, I have to be at my clinic at 9am for lipids infusion first and then the transfer a few hours later what meds are you on out of curiosity I’m on estrogen progesterone suppositories, Two types of steroids and antibiotics

SprinklesOfHope · 12/01/2026 05:56

Hi @camelinastormI’m just on estrogen and progesterone pessaries and lubion. Sounds like you are on quite a bit , how you finding all of that ?

camelinastorm · 12/01/2026 07:52

@SprinklesOfHope yes finding it ok obviously the pessaries are a pest, wish I had the injections from the start but they start Thursday.
