Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone else is having a frozen embryo transfer this month and wants to share the experience together.

I started oestrogen tablets and patches last week, and will have my first lining scan this Tuesday. All being well, transfer will hopefully be the middle or end of the following week.

Despite an extremely high collection and fertilisation rate, we’ve only ended up with one euploid embryo so feeling very nervous about our chances. I’m 40 years old and been having fertility treatment (IUI, IVF, ICSI) for three years now. No children.

Please do join in if you are also having a frozen embryo transfer this month as it would be good to chat.

@camelinastormi prefer the injections over the pessaries any day. They are such a mess and it always make me wonder how much I am actually absorbing ! I have the blood test for progesterone on Wednesday so we will see I suppose 😅

Hey, would you mind if I joined?

I've had two frozen transfers, both failed, about to go for my third transfer.

Came on my period today after a VERY strange cycle last month, I never got a LH surge and I've worked out I must have ovulated day 9 or something crazy early (my luteal phase is always bang on 12 days so counting back from today would have been day 9, was a 20 day cycle and I've NEVER had one this short). Was disappointed to not have the transfer last month but given how weird the cycle was probably for the best!

Just waiting for ovulation now. Finding it hard to stay positive after two previous fails but hoping it's just a numbers game!

Good luck to everyone

H

I’m also doing an FET this month and would really welcome sharing the experience together.

I’m 36 and this is my FET following a failed fresh transfer in November, which was really tough emotionally. We also only have one frozen embryo, so I completely understand the anxiety around that, it makes everything feel so much more intense.

For this cycle I started oestrogen in December, along with Ganirelix at the beginning of the cycle, and then moved on to Cyclogest pessaries once my lining was ready. I had my frozen transfer on 12 January. My progesterone level was slightly low on the day, so the clinic added progesterone injections (Prontogest) every 3 days, starting the evening of transfer.

I’m finding the injections quite hard, I woke up in the night with a lot of muscle pain in my upper buttock and today I’ve felt really uncomfortable and emotional. I know it’s all meant to support implantation, but the side effects can definitely be rough.

Wishing everyone lots of luck with scans, transfers, and the dreaded wait, it’s so nice to have others to chat to who understand 🤍

Hi guys, joining this thread too - hoping to see us all have lots of success in 2026 ♥️ First IVF cycle May last year - 17 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 11 fertilised, resulted in one day 5 blast and one day 6 blast. FET with the day 5 blast was in July and ended in missed miscarriage. Started Progynova tablets at the weekend in preparation for FET of our last blast, the day 6. Lining scan booked for 21st Jan and transfer hopefully either 27th or 30th Jan 🤞🏼♥️

Welcome everyone sounds like we have all had quite the journey. I’m so sorry for everyone’s difficult experiences so far, I am really hoping that 2026 is our year and we will all get our beautiful babies ✨

MyAgileZebra · 13/01/2026 13:19

Welcome everyone, best of luck to you all. Sounds like the majority of us are on our final embryo 😬.

YourTipsyDog · 13/01/2026 13:41

Who has had their transfer done already? I am 6 days past transfer and despite having said I was going to test early this time (to lessen the blow) I can’t bring myself to do it because ignorance is bliss…

I had my transfer yesterday. I’ve decided I won’t be testing early. As hard as it is, I know early testing can give false positives (especially with all the meds) and I don’t think I could cope with the emotional rollercoaster that brings. Waiting until test day feels kinder for me, even though the wait feels endless. Wishing you lots of luck, this part is so tough 🤍

Just re your last post, I don’t have a caremaps score but both embryos I got from this cycle had low IDAscores (similar to caremaps). The day 5 3Ab I transferred in July was 3.80/10 and the day 6 5Bb I’m transferring this month is only 2.70/10 so not holding out much hope this time either (both untested) but we shall see! Good luck for your transfer on Thursday, good luck to everyone with upcoming scans or transfers and good luck to those post transfer hoping for a + xx

SprinklesOfHope · 13/01/2026 16:18

@GamerGirl09 it’s so hard isn’t it as we want to have hope as we so desperately want it to be good news so we can move on and build our families. BUT also trying to protect ourselves as we have already been burnt with heartache previous experience. Have lost so much of myself in this process but trying to acknowledge that past experiences have no bearing on this current one. If it helps even though my clinic does caremaps they were quite dismissive of the results and told me to take it with a pinch of salt (super useful to share something they don’t even have much confidence in ) I have searched lots of forums as im in the same boat and there are lots of positive stories with lesser grades so let’s hope we in that statistic

May100 · 13/01/2026 20:33

Hope you don't mind if I jump on. @yourtipsydog I had my transfer in 6th Jan so I am 7 days past my 5 day transfer. I don't test early, I just wait for the day but this is my fourth transfer now so I'm just rolling through the motions really. I'm having more side effects from the progesterone this time round though, stomach aches and very bad bloating so that's no fun. Hope you are all doing ok.

FET2026 · 14/01/2026 03:11

Jumping on thread. To @ItsAJourney - sorry you have to wait for another cycle. Medically it’s the right call but for you it’s hard to wait. Wish you the very best.

I’ve had many years of waiting - but have now had successful ICSI.

FET (not tested) - going for a totally unmedicated cycle. I’ve had day 1 of period so waiting for ovulation then plus 5 days for transfer. May take me into February at this rate. I’m 41 but eggs were collected at 39.

First round of ICSI. I had one unresponsive round - transferred single embryo from that time. Did not take. Low stims due to high AMH.

Second full round of ICSI. Three embryos. First transfer failed. Second transfer worked.

Third full round of ICSi - four embryos. First transfer worked. Second transfer from that round.

YourTipsyDog · 14/01/2026 08:21

Hi @May100 its my fourth transfer too so I know what you mean about going through the motions. I’m not really having any side effects and I’ve also not done so previously. You are a day ahead of me so do you test next Tuesday?

Mrsblobby88 · 14/01/2026 12:56

Hi all,
im having my transfer on 20th. It will be 6th and final one. It's a 6 day 4ab so I'm not holding hope :(

hope everyone is keeping well ❤️ good luck

May100 · 14/01/2026 17:33

@YourTipsyDog I've been told to test this Saturday. My clinic are waiting 11 days instead of 14 so not too much longer to wait. Not really sure what to expect. Are you testing on Wednesday?

May100 · 14/01/2026 17:35

@Mrsblobby88 4ab has a great chance, that's really good 👍🏻

It's my 6th transfer though so we shall see but thank you ❤️

MyAgileZebra · 14/01/2026 18:07

Good luck to those having transfers tomorrow, hope it all goes smoothly.

YourTipsyDog · 14/01/2026 19:05

@May100 ah ok, mine is 2 weeks for some reason, I don’t understand why they aren’t all the same. It’s so hard to know what to think isn’t it? Everything crossed for you x

camelinastorm · 14/01/2026 19:57

@YourTipsyDog @May100 my clinic is 10 days past crazy all the differences in the test days
I am on the last transfer tomorrow so out having nice food and a cautious glass of wine to relax, I have done everything I can all the supplements all the scratches, tests everything I’m all good just MFI wish they would check th males more as this is I think our 8th transfer of all top grade some hatching embryos

MyAgileZebra · 15/01/2026 16:53

I had my scan today, my lining averages at 7.3. I was hoping it would be thicker but it's going ahead with my transfer on Tuesday. I asked about delaying it a couple of days but the consultant said I risk it becoming thinner.

SprinklesOfHope · 15/01/2026 17:51

Hi @MyAgileZebra my clinic has anything above 7 as an indicator for transfer so if your clinic is happy then hopefully you should be all good. Sorry it’s not quite where you want it to be but there are def good success for that lining

@camelinastorm how did you transfer go today? Mine was a bit of mixed bag, the embryo got stuck in the catheter after the first go (happens to 2 % of transfer so typical I am in that boat ) and it just went deathly silent and you could tell they were all worried so came away feeling a bit meh. Also they warned me that my grading was poor just before it (I know I’m very aware) so yeah. But we are on board and filled with McDonald’s fries so nothing I can do now 🤞

MyAgileZebra · 15/01/2026 18:28

@SprinklesOfHope I feel like they didn't need to say that as they were doing the transfer. They wouldn't have frozen it if it was that poor. Good luck, will you wait for OTD?

SprinklesOfHope · 15/01/2026 18:31

Thank you @MyAgileZebra I know they just have the worst bedside manner. Then the stress of it getting stuck so had to have it transferred again all the while trying not to pee myself just was a lot. OTD is 13DPT but I’m away with my work then so think will do a few days before so we can do it together so maybe 10 DPT ? Are you an early tester ?

YourTipsyDog · 16/01/2026 12:48

@May100 I’m getting period pain so I think I’m out. I know everything says that this can happen even in a positive cycle but this has happened to me on every failed cycle so it’s hard not to assume the worst. I hope everyone else has better luck x
