Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone else is having a frozen embryo transfer this month and wants to share the experience together.

I started oestrogen tablets and patches last week, and will have my first lining scan this Tuesday. All being well, transfer will hopefully be the middle or end of the following week.

Despite an extremely high collection and fertilisation rate, we’ve only ended up with one euploid embryo so feeling very nervous about our chances. I’m 40 years old and been having fertility treatment (IUI, IVF, ICSI) for three years now. No children.

I'm not yet ladies🙏🏼, the bleeding stopped and wasn't red more brown spotting so hopefully just from implantation. I wouldn't have thought much of it but my boobs have been killing since I started meds but suddenly stopped and deflated. The pain is back a bit now and my tests appear to be getting darker, although they are still faint so it's hard to tell. Will just have to see how it goes.

That's really interesting, I'd never heard of them before. This is my 4th transfer, all previous transfers have resulted in a negative test. I have an autoimmune condition and I'm always worried immune system is attacking the embryo and that's why they never implant. So, I'll maybe ask about the infusions and do some more research.

@GamerGirl09 I hope your transfer goes well tomorrow. I've always managed to resist testing before my official test date (my clinic goes on day 15, so I'm not due to test until the 9th), I think it would stress me out too much. 🤣 But I guess I might be nice to know what stages the little frostie gets to. Will you test early?

How's everyone doing?

My tests are still faint for 11dpt and not doubling. My last transfer was similar and was a blighted ovum so I'm really not optimistic.

Hi @MyAgileZebrain sorry that you are having this stress. Are you able to contact your Clinic to see if they can help? Maybe they can refer you to EPU where you can at least maybe get some blood tests. Or I paid for a blood test on ‘one day tests’ which was an online thing as my clinic wouldn’t do it. It does look like you bottom one is darker and it is still so early for HCG to be really present. These tests are not always great to show progression.

Thanks @SprinklesOfHope. I contacted them the last time I had the same and they said it's positive and they aren't bothered about progression or how strong the line is. I'll ask again though on my OTD which is Monday. My last ones got darker too and I got dye stealers but took a long time to get there which is apparently an indicator of blighted ovum or ectopic.

@MyAgileZebra sometimes these clinics are just so useless and insensitive. If not you can get a EPU referral though your GP. I got referred in my last transfer when I ended up having a miscarriage and they took blood and scans every few days so took it a bit more seriously.
hopefully they continue to darken and these tests do look differently for everyone so try not to compare to online (I know it’s hard) sending you lots of love x

@MyAgileZebra they are definitely getting darker, have you registered with your midwife? Mine has referred me to the EPU they offered hgc test but unfortunately I’m working away next week and the only day I have free is for my intrilipoid infusion , hey have though booked me for a scan the day I become 6 weeks, it’s worth asking
it’s so stressful isn’t it people think once you get that 2 lines the worry and anxiety is over, but it’s just the beginning

Already started! 4DPT today and negative, bloated, crampy and just feel off. Nose feels weird. Suspect all progesterone related. How about you?

@SprinklesOfHope thank you, my tests are a lot darker now but I'm still anxious as they are so similar to my last blighted ovum. I asked my GP for bloods and just waiting for the results.

@MyAgileZebra oh that’s such good news and if there is progression there is a great chance that you’ll be fine. Hopefully you get the bloods and that lines up with your embryo growing strong.

im in a similar boat where I have progression but had so much worry. I don’t have a scan booked with the clinic until 7weeks 5 days which is over two weeks away so might book one next week for reassurance. I have zero symptoms so just really worried that it will end in miscarriage again. The scars of infertility unfortunately run deep

@SprinklesOfHope sorry to hear you are going through it too. How many DPT are you now? What date is your scan? I feel I always sound so negative but it's so hard to be optimistic following loss. So thankful I'm still in though.

@MyAgileZebrai am 20dpt or 5 weeks4days as i had my transfer on the 15th Jan. it’s booked for the 19th Feb so ages to go and im terrified of miscarrying early and just not knowing for a few weeks. As you said I am so grateful to even be in the race but boy is it a mental battle everyday to not get too in your own head. When do you have your scan booked for ? X

My scan is booked for the 20th, I feel exactly the same, I have never had a positive result of a scan so not looking forward to it. Do you think you will go for an early scan? I have considered it for 6 weeks.

I had my transfer on 28th Jan, tested for the first time today at 7dp5dt - BFN for the 4th time . No more remaining embryos so onto the next round. Gutted.

I got my beta results back.....4123 IU/L at 14dp5dt. Now I'm spiralling looking on Google as it seems very high. has anyone else had anywhere near as high as this? Thanks.
