Hey all. Thread for those who will be on the journey early 2026.

I'm Scotland based and due to start my 3rd IVF cycle on the 3rd Jan (long protocol).

These threads can really help with support and just knowing someone else is going through it at the same time.

Good luck everyone.

@MyLau i have 2 types of progesterone pessaries cyclogest from the gp and also progestan from the clinic, i am on injections also I don’t think it matters what brand you get as they all do the same

camelinastorm · 09/02/2026 21:55

Non because they didn't put me on progesterone after the retreival.

It was more if you take injections, gel or pessaries. I didn't ask my question correctly, my bad

Day 6 update, 1 more to be frozen. So we now have 2, the other 3 didn't make it. I need to call on my next period if i want to try the first transfer, so probably in the beggining of March. How everyone doing ?

camelinastorm · 10/02/2026 17:38

@MyLau ah sorry yes so I have pessaries x4 per day and one injection a day

FairislePatterned · 10/02/2026 17:43

That’s good you have two embryos @MyLau

I have been on cyclogest pessaries (which have made me very tearful - or it’s the situation?) since the egg collection. Going to the hospital tomorrow for the embryo transfer - in theory. My hospital won’t update on the progress of the embryos so we don’t know if we are going in for a transfer or not. They prefer to tell people face to face.
So trying to keep everything crossed whilst also very scared of what will happen. Sorry- gloomy post.

So they make you go in even if you don't end up having a transfer? That seems kinda cruel....surely they could phone you the morning of to save you the journey if a transfer isn't going ahead?

Yes mine was the same @Moosey898 to give you insight from mine @MyLau i didn’t actually no the numbers until I was gowned up and taken through- looking back similar to egg collection they took me to a room and gowned up then started taking vitals- that was probably the first stage I knew that it was happening. Is it day 5 for you? I asked after and they said so much can change in a short space of time that they give it to the last min for the best possible options. Good luck for tomorrow!!!

Oh wow. That's nuts! They must have their reasons I guess.

FairislePatterned · 11/02/2026 12:17

Thank you for the positive thoughts @MyLau

There were two embryos! So they have frozen one and transferred one. I think I’m still in shock- happy shock.

Like @OneGladOtterdescribed, didn’t know how many embryos until we were gowned up. Although- I did think surely there must be one or otherwise it would seem extremely unnecessary to get us gowned up. Was your experience also NHS @OneGladOtter?

Sending best wishes to you all too.

This is the closest I’ve ever got. My mind is blown.

OneGladOtter · 11/02/2026 13:43

@FairislePatterned what a day for you! Be very proud of yourself right now 🤍🤍 yes NHS for me too. Positive vibes to all xxx

FairislePatterned · 11/02/2026 17:00

Thank you :)
its such a rollercoaster isn’t it? Phew.

OneGladOtter · 14/02/2026 20:32

We all hanging in there ok?

FairislePatterned · 14/02/2026 21:06

Yes, thanks!
How are you doing @OneGladOtter? When is your test date? I have another week to go.

MyLau · 15/02/2026 01:01

Yes thanks, i'm waiting on my period to call to start the FET protocol.

OneGladOtter · 15/02/2026 08:40

That’s good @FairislePatterned Thursday is test day 😬 I’ve been ok through the past week but this weekend I’m super edgy! @MyLau exciting times! Not long to get you started now with the next step x

FairislePatterned · 15/02/2026 11:28

I’ve also felt edgy this weekend @OneGladOtter!

I felt so relieved directly after the embryo transfer as I’d worried it wouldn’t happen, that I was on a bit of a high for a few days. Keeping everything crossed for you for Thursday.

That is exciting @MyLau. Do you just have to take progesterone in preparation for FET or are there any injections too?

OneGladOtter · 15/02/2026 12:12

Do you no that’s so true I didn’t think of it that! Your so relieved you got through that successfully and your recovering that’s the focus… then as you get the other side your waiting again it’s like oh,

I don't know yet. I need to call on my day 1 to have the info.

MyLau · 17/02/2026 15:40

How is everyone doing ? I found out they don't do FET the next cycle, i need to wait on my second period post retreival to start the protocol. It's 1 aspirin daily at night and Estrace 3 time a day from day 1. First scan at 12-13 days, then progesterone (don't know if anything esle with that).

OneGladOtter · 17/02/2026 16:28

Oh so a little longer than you thought @MyLau how are you feeling with it all?
I’ve had light spotting today so losing it a bit currently 9DPT
