Hey all. Thread for those who will be on the journey early 2026.

I'm Scotland based and due to start my 3rd IVF cycle on the 3rd Jan (long protocol).

These threads can really help with support and just knowing someone else is going through it at the same time.

I had one ready but 2 “early blastocysts” so praying they continue developing overnight

My scan today was a bit disappointing- less follicles than expected so I’m feeling more nervous about egg collection on Friday. Sigh. Also have to get up at 2am for the ovitrelle injection!

Thanks, it went well, more pain then anticipated during the procedure, i was awake and the Fentanyl got me dizzy for a minute or 2 and i was back to normal during the procedure. I cried during the procedure, and i tell the nurse : i'm sorry i don't know why i'm crying, but don't worry i'm ok. 😅she said it was the drugs that release the stress and all. It was fast, no pain at all after for now. 7 egg retreived, we will know tomorrow how many are mature enough.

Gosh that sounds intense @MyLauyou poor thing! Super that seven eggs were retrieved. Fingers crossed.

Bloody hell 2am 🫠 still got time to see those follicles grow! Get those electrolytes slowing, good luck!!

So yesterday at night and this morning i'm a little sore, but nothing bad enough to have to take the pain killers. I already got the call, 7 fertilized out of the 7 retreived ! Now we wait :)

@MyLau wow what a fertilisation rate was it icsi or standard ivf

jyst seen your retrieval post wow you were awake !!! I was fully knocked out and asleep didn’t feel nor remember a thing !!

I’m feeling knackered from 2am injection but glad to be moving onwards tomorrow with egg retrieval- and will be nice not to be having injections this evening!

Hello, I am hoping for 2nd cycle in February so I’m following along. Unfortunately my 1st cycle was cancelled in November due to lack of growth of follicles. I think the largest was only 14. I was on antagonist with high AMH 14 day stims. They are suggesting a slightly higher dosage for this cycle but I suppose I just have a feeling I’ll encounter the same issue. Age 39. Wishing everyone well

It was icsi, and yes i was looking at the screen looking at my eggs being retreived 😅

@IndigoBluey I’d recommend switching to higher menopur, less gonal. I had a terrible cycle followed by a good one when they did this. Good luck in the next cycle.

@MyLau congrats on 7 fertilised let me know how you get on! Did they start you on progesterone that evening or day after and when’s the transfer?

I didn't start progesterone yet because if we have more than 3 blastocyst, we will sent them to be pgt-a tested (2 to 3 month to have the results).

How is everyone doing today?

I feel absolutely exhausted! Had my first scan today (day 7 of my cycle), have 12 follicles visible but 1 is way bigger so I'm counting that out and taking it as 11.

@Moosey898 the tiredness is real yeh!! 11 follicles 🤍 have you been having electrolytes? I’ve never had them before, could just be in my head but felt more awake when I stated with them x

I had 2 really good night of sleep, waiting on day 3 call tomorrow morning.
