Hey all. Thread for those who will be on the journey early 2026.

I'm Scotland based and due to start my 3rd IVF cycle on the 3rd Jan (long protocol).

These threads can really help with support and just knowing someone else is going through it at the same time.

I have my scan tomorrow it’s super nerve wracking as every scan I have been for it’s been bad news I hate going into those places now

I don't know your situation and it's different for everyone but, My first 3 scan was "we might have to cancel this round" type of appointment. I was already planning the next round. Then "we will try to let them grow a few days". I was in the hospital gown with the IV fluid and i had chances to be cancel the morning of my collection if the result were not better on the scan. Then, we try for the egg collection even if the size are not what they were expecting (only 1 big enough).. 7 out, 7 fertilized. We are not done yet but it's better news than last saturday. I will be sending you good thoughts tomorrow :)

@MyLau yes egg collection was Tuesday, I’ve felt ok- bit bloated here and there where I’ve had to remember to slow down. Got my day 3 call yesterday and they have booked me in for Sunday for transfer 😬

Hello everyone,

My scan on Wednesday upset me as I was told they hoped they’d be able to get 4 eggs but weren’t sure. One of my ovaries is damaged from two surgeries but I’d been told at previous scan that the other one looked super healthy with lots of follicles and would compensate.
Egg collection was yesterday and I was very pleased they managed to get 8 out. (After them making me feel it would be a miracle to get 3). I’m praying that we get some embryos and that one is healthy enough for transfer.

We will hear from the embryologist today and are booked for embryo transfer on Wednesday. Apparently we won’t get updates as to how the embryos are doing, will just be told on Wednesday. Even if there are no embryos left. So just praying that one at least survives.

It’s all such a rollercoaster isn’t it?

My retrieval was 2pm the following day- 36 hours after 2am!

Just heard we have 3 embryos from the 8 eggs. Apparently the other eggs weren’t mature?
Now just praying that they or one of them lasts till Wednesday.

Hi all back from the scan measuring at 6 weeks so seems correct, was able to see fetal pole, yolk sac and also a heartbeat, I am back in 2 weeks for a second scan to check the progress

I've seen you before on threads, you went to Miracle IVF by Dr Firdevs? We have our round booked next month

So Thursday they said to me 7, but it was apparently 7 injected, 5 fertilized.. today we still have 5 but 2 are developping better. Next call Monday afternoon. No fresh transfer this month. Less than 3 blastocyst = next month, 3 or more = PGT-A, so in a few months. Let's stay hopefull even if it's hard.

@WanOvaryKenobi yes I did they are a lovely clinic very very thorough and check everything they also amend your treatment if it is unsuccessful which is something my UK clinic refused to do

@MyLau fingers crossed for Monday for you, just a random question can’t they PGT test on day 3 and still do a fresh transfer, my clinic offered this option to enable a fresh with testing

They didnt offer me this option, even if we don't do PGT, i will not have a fresh transfer because they didn't give me progesterone yet. (I'm not in a private clinic, i don't know if that change anything)

That's so good to hear. If you don't mind me asking, how many rounds/transfers have you done with them?

PGT testing can take weeks to come back unfortunately and the sample needs to be taken when the embryo is a little bigger, usually day 5/6 - it's really complex. I'm having PGT-SR and PGT-A due to chromosome translocations xx

@WanOvaryKenobi yes sure I had three rounds and 5 transfers all together but don’t judge that as we had bizarre male factor so I was told I have been their most tricky lady they have ever had 😂

Oh no, we are also dealing with MFI, specifically high DNA fragmentation! Definitely could not do that many rounds - well done

embryo transfer is officially complete 😬

It’s definitely worth going they are really good we had an excellent time and would do it all over again, they work with high dna frag all the time

@OneGladOtter ohhhh great news, did all go ok, rest up now and enjoy the strange feeling of it being inside x

Thankyou @camelinastorm 🤍 it went well yes, very surreal feeling walking out and just carrying on with the day isn’t it! Feeling really blessed too as we went in from our day 3 call with 2 in a good place but today they were happy with 1 to transfer and 2 to freeze with a 3rd being monitored overnight so I do feel a sense of relief as waiting on those numbers as you all no is so hard!

Hope everyone doing fine today ! I would like to know what kind of progesterone you chose and why ?

I received the Day 5 call, on the 5 fertilized, 1 is ready to freeze. We will see tomorrow is we have more, but she thinks we will only have one more. So we decided no PGT-A. It will be a frozen none tested embryo transfer, but i don't know yet if it will be next cycle.

@MyLau i didn’t get a choice with progesterone but i am on cyclogest x
