Hello ladies, anyone doing an FET or IVF next month? I am on a 3 month down regulation protocol and just did my last lupron depot injection yay! I start embryo transfer prep on the 1st of November, it will be nice to chat with anyone on a similar timeline for support and banter to get us through 😊 Xx

Hello I am going back for my 7th transfer in November will be slightly behind you as aiming for transfer between the 18th and 21st November, my lupron depot is next week

Mrsbutterfly24 · 13/10/2025 09:06

Hello @camelinastorm , nice to be acquainted 😊. This is my 4th transfer from my 3rd collection cycle. First round, no blastocysts, 2nd round 1 bfn and 2 early miscarriages. 3rd round, November will be my first transfer following 3 month lupron depot. What's your journey been like? X

I’m hoping to do fet in November but I have no idea how it works. This is the first cycle that we have had some embryos frozen xx

waitingforourmiracle · 13/10/2025 12:51

I am having my FET in November! Was meant to be this week but cancelled due to thin lining so will be looking more like the first or second week of November! This will be my 3rd FET, first 2 both ended in early losses so extra anxious!
@camelinastorm I remember you from a previous thread, possibly July FET? Hope your doing ok! X

waitingforourmiracle · 13/10/2025 12:57

@camelinastorm just looked back and it was the April thread x

camelinastorm · 13/10/2025 13:55

@waitingforourmiracle yes it was hope you are doing well, nice to see a familiar name well not nice in these circumstances but you know what I mean. I was due to go back next week but it's just too soon so opted for November 🤞🏼 this is our month x

Mrsbutterfly24 · 13/10/2025 14:14

@Deedeebob @waitingforourmiracle , hello to you both 😊.

@Deedeebob , I am sure the clinic will advice your protocol details shortly. Have they given an indication of whether its a natural or fully hrt cycle? This time, I am having a modified natural cycle with ovulation which is new territory for me as in the past I've only been on fully medicated cycles.

No I have my follow up next week. How long does the process normally take?

It's tricky to say as it will depend on the type of protocol and how you personally respond. To give a rough idea, my medicated protocols in the past have been Oestrogen lining prep for 12 days, then progesterone for 6 days with transfer being on day 18, followed by an official test 10 days later so all in about 4 weeks from cycle start till official test date. However some people might need longer than 12 days to achieve desired lining thickness, some may do some down regulation before lining prep and in my case as I'm doing a modified natural transfer coming off prolonged down regulation, I will be on low dose stimulation meds till I have a follicle big enough to trigger with hcg then I'll transfer 6 days after that. Hope this helps with estimating a timeline. X

No problem at all. It's been several years on the ivf train so I know the exhausted by it feeling well. After my second miscarriage following fet, we started attending adoption open days as I just couldn't do it anymore... Somehow I convinced myself into one FINAL collection cycle and I suspect my losses are immune related as the embryos were tested as well as Adenomyosis not helping. My last clinic wouldn't change their protocol much so we are with a new clinic and having a full on immune protocol plus trying the natural ovulation transfer incase this will agree with my body more. So dare I say, after everything we have been through...I am starting to have some hope again after having to pull myself out of pits of despair time and time again on this tortuous journey.

I am hopefully having my last remaining embryo transferred, around the 8th. I have had 2 transfers, first was a MC and second didn't implant.

Mrsbutterfly24 · 13/10/2025 18:15

Hello @MyAgileZebra , nice to be acquainted. We are strong and all in this together 💪. Do you have your protocol details all set? Not long now! X

Hello ladies, please could I join you. It's been a long journey to get to our first IVF round, so I'm really pleased to finally be able to join in a monthly chat! I'm waiting for my period to arrive this week, to get started on a long protocol, so I may end up nudging into December. Sending baby dust to you all.

tryinghopefully · 13/10/2025 22:21

Can I please join? I've been lurking for a while but think transfer will be at the start of November. Started Buserelin to down-regulate on 28th Sept. Scan booked for Thursday. We wanted to give our last embryo a chance. Started on this path back in 2018. Had PGD or PGT-M as it is now to have a healthy chin without passing on genetic condition. First egg collection then loads of issues with lining. We were lucky that transfer resulted in pregnancy but had a MMC which was devastating. Second transfer from that collection didn't work. Had another egg collection and the first transfer resulted in our amazing 4 year old. Has taken us a while to get to a place to start again and feels pretty scary. Thankfully little one helps the time waiting to pass but feels tricky doing this with him in tow. We know it will either work or won't. Hope it does but feel anxious and hesitant with what we've experienced. Nice to have some buddies even if our stories may be quite different.

Mrsbutterfly24 · 13/10/2025 22:49

@Sequins04 , welcome 😊. Wishing you the best of luck with this round, hopefully its first time lucky🤞. Keep us updated when your stim cycle officially kicks off.

@tryinghopefully welcome 😊. Well done you for finding the bravery to try again, least you wont ever wonder what if. Fingers crossed as its worked for you before it will again 😊. So is Buserelin similar to Lupron? And is Thursday the baseline scan to start lining prep? What's your protocol going to be if you know? X

Found out my first transfer failed the end of September, and waiting to start my cycle for my text transfer now! No idea when the transfer will be but maybe somewhere in the middle of November! I don’t have regular cycles so all depends how it all works out!

MyAgileZebra · 14/10/2025 06:00

@Mrsbutterfly24 I am on short protocol. Period due to start in just over a week. My lining was on the thin side in the last transfer so hoping the added estrogen helps. Hopefully it's a lucky thread 🤞🏼

@Peonies94 here we are again, hope we're luckier this time round

Peonies94 · 14/10/2025 07:51

@MyAgileZebra yes here we are again! Let’s hope this is the one for us! 🤞

i have a scan in a weeks time to find out if my lining is thin enough to start a cycle or if not I’ll need to take medication and wait for my next period. If my lining is okay I imagine my transfer will be around the 7th ish of November, but otherwise my cycle will start around then if I need a period first! Hate all the waiting around just want to get started now 🤞

sensing best wishes to everyone else 🤞🤞🤞

@MyAgileZebra , based on my experience of my lining going from 7.8 one cycle to 11 on another, I recommend the following; berries, walnuts, brazil nuts, pomegranate juice, Beetroot juice and warm water bottles on your tummy when you are lounging X

@Mrsbutterfly24 thanks for that, I'll try them all. I've also got vit E and L'Arginine. My last get only got up to 6.7 mm which when looking on Google is really thin but my clinic are happy if it is over 6mm. Have you had PGTA testing on any of your cycles?

Hiya, yes I did pgt on my second round of ivf. We did get some healthy embryos which we successfully transferred but lost. We think our issue is uterine not embryo related so we didn't bother for this collection.

@camelinastorm Yes, agreed, I wish neither of us had to be here! We had a transfer in July but unfortunately ended in early MC but hopeful for lucky number 3, well fingers crossed tightly!

@Mrsbutterfly24 @tryinghopefully oh I'm sorry it sounds you've both had a tough ride so far. @Mrsbutterfly24 it sounds like your new clinic are trying harder by changing protocol!

@MyAgileZebra my transfer for this month has been cancelled due to thin lining so I'm also increasing oestrogen, will be on tablets as well as patches. Just had my new medication bill come through this morning, never a fun time document to receive!

@Peonies94 irregular cycles are the worst, so completely understand the frustration of waiting, I struggle with the waiting!

tryinghopefully · 14/10/2025 22:14

@Mrsbutterfly24 Thanks. Yes Buserelin is like Lupron. Yes Thursday’s scan is to see that varies are switched off and lining is thin. I’ll then add in oestrogen tablets. Then if lining hopefully thickens, I’ll add in progesterone pessaries snd lubion injections.

@Peonies94 Welcome! Sorry to hear of your unsuccessful start but hope you are able to go again soon.

I’ve had issues with thin lining before. Tried various combinations of oestrogen! Oral tablets, vaginal tablets and patches too. I had the works! Ended up having a saline scan but everything looked ok. With our successful pregnancy same combination got lining to 8mm by some miracle after months of stalling at 6.8mm. Think years of contraceptive use didn’t help. Just on oestrogen tablets this time so 🙏 Feel a bit skeptical but we'll see
