Hello ladies, anyone doing an FET or IVF next month? I am on a 3 month down regulation protocol and just did my last lupron depot injection yay! I start embryo transfer prep on the 1st of November, it will be nice to chat with anyone on a similar timeline for support and banter to get us through 😊 Xx

Just discovered the Nov thread having previously been on the Oct one. First cycle and it has been cancelled today due to not getting very much of an increase in follicle size. High AMH for age so was kinda hopeful it might go smooth enough. Not sure what next steps are as yet but likely same protocol with increased dosage (was on Ovamex and Ovaleap). Not sure whether to start in Nov or take a break.

camelinastorm · 27/10/2025 19:05

@Waitingforday6 so are you now going on January, it's just so hard as we also love Christmas, spend a lot of time with friends and really wish timings were different, my September transfer failed as that would have been great it it worked, as far along enough to tell people, but November it's just a real sticky point, was your clinic ok, I'm worried as my bloods will be all out of date so redoing them is an added expense again

Waitingforday6 · 27/10/2025 19:17

Yes we're planning on doing the first cycle after, due my period late January and then after that. The clinic was fine with it but I will have to redo the FBC and Thyroid. I'm sorry your September transfer failed! It's really tricky, I completely understand wanting to go again ASAP but infertility robs you of so much if you can have a nice(r) Christmas that's also worth a lot. There is no right or wrong answer and whatever decision you make you might still have small doubts either way, I felt a bit rudderless for a couple of days after we decided as it suddenly felt an eternity away.

camelinastorm · 27/10/2025 19:49

@Waitingforday6 yes that's my worry January will feel so far away when really it's not, my clinic is a nightmare the bloods are only valid for 3 months and it's such a huge expense getting them all done again, there is no need for every 3 m as who can realistically go back that quick after a failed round

Waitingforday6 · 27/10/2025 19:56

@camelinastorm oh wow 3 months, mine are 6 months for those and a year for the others. I feel you on the cost of everything. Could you request them from the GP for free somehow? If you do the fingerprick test at home it's a lot cheaper as well, Randox is quite affordable I find although the home test isn't for everyone and I struggled with one of them and ended up going to a clinic instead to have blood drawn. Do you have a rough idea when in January the transfer would be? It might be quite soon after Christmas and feel less far away than mine. 🙂

camelinastorm · 27/10/2025 20:01

@Waitingforday6 I would want to try go the beginning however if they follow my natural cycle as before it would be the 20th so quite far 🤣 my GP is a nightmare they just won't do any bloods for it it's so crazy as every cycle or FET I'm having to pay for more bloods and more STD tests they cost constantly mounts up, I'm going to message my coordinator in the morning and see what will need to be done for a January transfer, sounds awful but this is the 3rd Christmas where IVF transfers have occured and ended up in miscarriage so I hid away all Christmas as couldn't explain why I wasn't drinking and eating certain things for the miscarriage to occur after the new year and I now feel like it's time for me to have a Christmas without this stress x

Bees28 · 28/10/2025 11:34

Hello, all! I just started the estradiol with aspirin and as long as everything goes well with lining check then the transfer will be November 17th! Wish me luck!

Waitingforday6 · 28/10/2025 12:48

@Bees28 fingers crossed!!!! 😀
@camelinastorm what did the clinic say? I'm sorry that sounds really tough! Hopefully you can figure out the cheapest way to get everything you need done for after Christmas if that's what you decide. It certainly sounds like you need a Christmas without it hanging over you (as much as possible we all know it's always there in the background).

waitingforourmiracle · 28/10/2025 16:19

@Waitingforday6 @camelinastorm I completely understand why you'd both want to wait! My boyfriend mentioned about booking Thailand for new year without realising the risk of Zika Virus so we've decided if this transfer fails we'll go ahead with it and delay treatment for 3 month, it's hard constantly putting life on hold isn't it!!

@Bees28 good luck!! Is this your first transfer?

Bees28 · 28/10/2025 17:51

@Waitingforday6 I actually just last minute switched my protocol to a natural one because I cannot stand the estradiol side effects - geez!
Yes, I’m secondary infertility and this is my first transfer.
Has anyone had a successful natural IVF FET transfer?

waitingforourmiracle · 29/10/2025 13:39

I've always done medicated FETs but no success yet!

I've got my first monitoring scan tomorrow, praying my lining is thick!!

Waitingforday6 · 29/10/2025 14:21

Fingers crossed @Bees28 and @waitingforourmiracle and everyone else! It really is hard putting life on hold for so long so I understand wanting an amazing holiday! Life still happens and we should still enjoy it!! I don't have any transfer experience yet. I am intrigued by the natural cycle but would definitely still want progesterone.

CollsR · 29/10/2025 21:11

Hello all! Best of luck for your treatment.

Im in prep month for a FET in November. Got second baseline scan tomorrow. At my first baseline scan on cycle day (CD) 2 my lining was too thick by 2mm. Getting a second baseline scan tomorrow CD4. Have had period last two days still, so hopefully thin enough.

This is my 3RD and final FET. 1at was an early miscarriage. Had ALICE test, EMMA test & test of endometrial biome. All 3 came back showing issues. No bad bacteria but not enough good so took pessary probiotic, have low natural killer cells so had low level steroids & ideal transfer day for me is plus 24hrs. Had 2nd FET adjusted for the 3 test results and conceived my son. Trying to see this as a bonus attempt. Great if it works & okay if it doesn’t. Very hopeful it does.

Had eggs frozen during cancer treatment. Then became infertile. Been cancer free over 10 years.. Lucky to end up with 3 embryos to try with & one live birth.

waitingforourmiracle · 30/10/2025 14:10

Hey @CollsR how did your scan go? Aw wish you all the luck you've had a real tough ride, happy to hear about you DS!

I had my scan this morning and for the first time ever my lining was thick enough and no push backs! It was I think she said 8.5mm which is the thickest it's ever gotten so the headaches from the extra oestrogen have been worth it 😂transfer booked for Wednesday!

Hows everyone doing?

Waitingforday6 · 30/10/2025 14:20

Ah yay @waitingforourmiracle that's great will be thinking of you!
I'm sorry to hear that @CollsR I am keeping my fingers crossed!!!

PlanBFertility · 30/10/2025 22:24

Hi All 👋

Recognise some names too.

37yr old, low AMH and MFI
Cycle 1 - total failed fertilisation
Cycle 2 - total failed fertilisation
Cycle 3 - Three blasts, 4AB, 4BB and 4AC. Had a fresh cycle with the 4AB. BFP, but missed miscarriage (7wks, found out at 10)

On oestrogen 8mg and patches as first lining scan was 6.7mm. Another scan Sunday with view for transfer on 7th November is lining increases.

Wishing you all the baby dust 🌟

CollsR · 31/10/2025 00:00

@waitingforourmiracle Congratulations! Lovely news! Wishing you all the best! And thanks for asking.

I was still too thick despite still having my period. So can’t go ahead this cycle. The good news is there is enough time before my clinic part closes for Christmas/NY to have a second prep month now & if all goes well transfer in mid-December.

So I’ve stopped Buserilin injections and doing 20 days of Norethisterone this time to try trigger a bigger bleed. My natural periods have been very light this year so might just need two proper periods to clear it.

CollsR · 31/10/2025 00:06

@Waitingforday6 During IVF the hardest health to maintain is mental health. Taking a pause for your mental health is very sensible!

Wishing baby dust for you all.

One early miscarriage was hard enough for me to handle. I’m so glad my clinic talked to me about the 3 tests I had. In the past they would wait for 3 miscarriages before discussing the tests partly due to the cost. But I only had 3 embryos!

waitingforourmiracle · 31/10/2025 11:00

@PlanBFertility hey! Fingers crossed for Sundays scan! We'll be a couple of days apart transfer-wise!

@CollsR ah sorry you can't go this time but sounds like a good plan is in place for next month, keep my fingers crossed for you to get a transfer before Christmas! I'm the opposite with lining usually too thin!

Wishingandwaiting2453 · 31/10/2025 13:21

Can I join? I am sad to say that I may seem familiar on here but unfortunately went through another failed transfer in September. So now we are going ahead with a November transfer. Period due to start anytime from Sunday onwards really.

Some past history- had 4 failed transfers. Lost 5 embryos. Good luck to everyone. Xxj

PlanBFertility · 31/10/2025 15:35

@Wishingandwaiting2453 welcome to the worst girl group to be part of 🥰

Wishingandwaiting2453 · 31/10/2025 19:50

@PlanBFertility Thank you!

It’s the best worst girl’s group though because everyone here just gets it! Wish it didn’t happen to anyone. I’m going to try and be as positive as possible……….until I have an irrational day haha 😆

PlanBFertility · 01/11/2025 11:04

2nd scan done - lining has increased to over 7mm but as I got to 8mm on my last cycle, they want to delay the transfer. Never bloomin’ ending. It’s a 6hr round trip for me to the clinic.

Wishingandwaiting2453 · 01/11/2025 11:44

Wow! How come you’re so far from your clinic? Apologies if you’ve already explained elsewhere on the thread @PlanBFertility

PlanBFertility · 01/11/2025 14:22

@Wishingandwaiting2453 - I had two total failed fertilisation cycles up here in the Midlands and was told it was game over unless we used donor egg and sperm. I did a lot of research and stumbled across Emma the Embryologist and went to the clinic she works out who worked their magic and got us 3 embryos ❤️
