Hello ladies, anyone doing an FET or IVF next month? I am on a 3 month down regulation protocol and just did my last lupron depot injection yay! I start embryo transfer prep on the 1st of November, it will be nice to chat with anyone on a similar timeline for support and banter to get us through 😊 Xx

@Waitingforday6 yes defo, these threads have kept me sane throughout haha! Ah amazing!! We only got 1 from our first round from 21 eggs collected so it was a massive blow (grateful for that 1, I absolutely know 1 is better than 0) it was just very unexpected and it was our NHS round so it added a ton of pressure finding the finances for a second round, we managed it and luckily and still to my shock we got 10 to freeze on round 2! X

Waitingforday6 · 23/10/2025 15:48

@waitingforourmiracle that's amazing!!! Let's hope a total of 11 is a lucky number for both of us!! ❤️ the drop off is so hard isn't it? We were hoping for 1 and the doctor predicted 2-5.

MyAgileZebra · 23/10/2025 20:12

Has anyone found their cycle is different after a failed FET? My period always stays on day 11 but now 2 days late. I'm not pregnant either sadly. Sods law when I want it to start 🫩.

waitingforourmiracle · 24/10/2025 09:32

@Waitingforday6 I have my fingers tightly crossed for us all!

@MyAgileZebra my cycles are irregular anyway so I wouldn't know but I have read a few posts where peoples cycles have messed up after FET/egg collection. It's typical when you want it it doesn't arrive! Hope AF arrives soon!

MyAgileZebra · 24/10/2025 09:47

Thanks @waitingforourmiracle. It's started today so I'll start my meds tomorrow 😬.

waitingforourmiracle · 24/10/2025 11:34

@MyAgileZebra ahh good, glad you didn't have to wait too long! Did you say you was adding extra oestrogen this time? I hope you don't get the headaches like I have!

@Marisadea hope your scan goes okay today!

How is everyone else in the thread getting on?

MyAgileZebra · 24/10/2025 11:43

@waitingforourmiracle Yes, last cycle I was on 3 tablets a day then after my scan they added patches and went up to 4 pills which I think was after transfer. This time I'm adding patches from day 1. I didn't have headaches last time but the last few days I started having heart palpitations which the consultant said was probably from the oestrogen.

When is your scan? Hopefully it's all worth it 🙏🏼

Marisadea · 24/10/2025 11:45

My scan didn’t go very well.. my endometrium is thick but not trilaminar and I may have a polyp in my cervix… the doc wasn’t bothered by the no trilaminar look but I am…
they said they’ll call me back to see if I need surgery to remove the polyp.

waitingforourmiracle · 24/10/2025 11:48

@MyAgileZebra Oh gosh that doesn't sound fun!! I'm on 3 patches and 3 tablets at the minute. My scan is Thursday. Have you got your booked yet?

@Marisadea I'm sorry it didn't go how you hoped, have they to keep going to see if things change?

They said they want to make sure that the polyp is only in the cervix, in that case they will go ahead with the transfer next week. If the polyp is partially in the uterus, I will have to get this removed. Honestly, I am more concerned about the no trilaminar look…

Oh wow 3 patches, I'm are they 100mg too? I've messaged the clinics and just waiting for them to reply. On my previous cycles I have started meds on the first day of my period but my schedule this time says Day 2.

waitingforourmiracle · 24/10/2025 13:39

@Marisadea ah I see, did they say if trilaminar can become present in that time? I hope your next scan goes okay. I have my fingers crossed for you!!

@MyAgileZebra yep! My last transfer I started on 2 patches and then they were upped to 3 patches, ended in early miscarriage. I then went for another transfer (which was cancelled) started on 3 patches but my lining went from about 6.2mm to 5.2mm the week after! So hoping the added tablets work this time! Hope this is our lucky thread!

MyAgileZebra · 24/10/2025 14:02

@waitingforourmiracle sorry to hear that, it's so tough isn't it.

That is a lot of estrogen, I've started taking vit E, L'Arginine and bought loads of bits berries, beetroot juice and pomegranate juice so I'm hoping it all helps.

Are you taking aspirin during to the MC or have you had blood tests which indicate you need it?

My scan is booked for 4th. They have said to start meds today and my diary was wrong 🤦🏼‍♀️ x

waitingforourmiracle · 24/10/2025 14:28

@MyAgileZebra I think that's why my head feels so sore! Yes I'm on aspirin too, to be honest I'd read a lot of threads of people taking it so I asked the clinic and the consultant basically said it won't do any harm so I can take it! However, when my last transfer was cancelled the nurse asked if I was taking it then realised I already was so it made me wonder if it could potentially help with lining too? I had a load of bloods done at the GPs a month or so ago and everything came back normal. Ah good job you checked, lets hope for thicker lining for us both! X

Marisadea · 24/10/2025 14:56

@waitingforourmiracle I just got a call from the nurse who said that the consultant is happy to proceed with the transfer next week, as the polyp is small and in the cervix, not in the uterus. Apparently the look of my endometrium is good enough. I will keep you posted

waitingforourmiracle · 24/10/2025 15:01

@Marisadea that is good news! I'm sure they wouldn't proceed if they weren't confident it could work! Have you got another scan booked?

Marisadea · 24/10/2025 15:04

@waitingforourmiracle no, I don’t need another scan! The uterus is thick enough and clear from any fluid. They are going to call me back tomorrow to give me the date of the transfer

MyAgileZebra · 24/10/2025 15:09

@waitingforourmiracle that's interesting as I was son heparin injections from day 1 last cycle but they have delayed then until a couple of days before transfer now. If they help with lining I'd rather be on them 🤷🏼‍♀️

waitingforourmiracle · 24/10/2025 15:29

@Marisadea ahh I see! Hope your feeling a little better about things!

@MyAgileZebra I always say I'd rather be on injections than the patches as I feel like needles hurt less than pulling the patches off 😂

My meds were meant to be delivered to my work address between 2.30-4.30 but looks like it's delayed as it's now showing 5.20 and I finish at 5, looks like I'm staying on a little bit 😋

camelinastorm · 26/10/2025 17:05

Hi all, so we are having a major wobble I am due to have my depot on Tuesday so basically starting treatment, but we are no wobbling about how we can hide it over the Xmas period and also if it works it will be a summer born and potentially the youngest in their class at school, so scared about going now in November for really silly reasons

waitingforourmiracle · 27/10/2025 11:00

@camelinastorm I do get that, I've thought about it in the past about being the youngest in the year but I think now it's taking us this long to get here I don't want to wait any longer

camelinastorm · 27/10/2025 11:19

@waitingforourmiracle yes that's my thoughts it's like I wanted this for the last 3 years, I think we both just have a wobble when the time is approaching 🤣 and hubby is worried as the one last December didn't work so put a bit of a sadness on Christmas as we have family members with babies

waitingforourmiracle · 27/10/2025 13:20

@camelinastorm aw yeah it makes sense!! Do you have an idea on transfer date?

camelinastorm · 27/10/2025 13:24

@waitingforourmiracle yes it's the 21st of November, so depot tomorrow, progestogen and thyroid blood test tomorrow then meds start middle of next week if all comes back ok, just started 2 weeks of antibiotics to ensure all is good

Waitingforday6 · 27/10/2025 17:39

@camelinastorm I get it. We were loosely planning a November transfer after a freeze all cycle in July/August and I would be transferring around the same time as you and we decided to push it back to after Christmas. I completely understand wanting a transfer as soon as possible and sometimes I do think how nice it would be to finally have a chance at pregnancy but for us personally it felt right to not risk it overshadowing our Christmas time (we might be the only infertile couple that still loves Christmas though 😂)
