Hi! I’m starting the process of a FET in September, transferring a 4AB early October. Trying for baby number two. Anyone else? Would be great to have people to talk to amongst the symptom spotting, line eyes and general freak outs ☺️

Hey! Also trying for baby number two and hoping to transfer our last remaining embryo sometime in October also! Starting my down regulation on 10th September … so in exactly 2 weeks! To say I’m a bag of nerves is an understatement! We have already had 2 unsuccessful FETs this year with top quality embryos although they were not PGTA tested. Since then I’ve had some immune testing done which showed issues so hoping a full immune protocol will make this one our 3rd time lucky! It’s also our last embryo as we had our remaining ones PGTA tested and it was our only euploid so hoping it’s going to be a super sticky one 🤞🏼🤞🏼 it’s our last roll of the dice so I’m going to be up the walls symptom spotting 🤣🤣

Waitingforday6 · 27/08/2025 14:27

Hi! I had my (first ever) freeze all cycle in late July/early August with a bit of a break before attempting our first transfer. Depending on my cycle it will either be late October or mid-November (I had my post-EC bleed but waiting to see if my cycle goes back to its normal pattern so I can estimate dates). Work is super busy in September and we are on holiday in early October so that's why there's a break. This thread will be good to show me what to expect. Wishing everyone lots of luck!

Peonies94 · 27/08/2025 17:37

@InfertilitySWS hello!
I’ve been in the September FET group but it’s definitely not going to happen in September! Been a long wait waiting for my consultation and still have another few days to wait, following that I have my nurse consult and then it’s the waiting for meds and waiting for them to tell me when to start then, which will depend on the protocol, or if it’s waiting for a bleed I think I’ll have just missed one as it’ll be next week in between dr and nurse consultation which is frustrating!
transferring a 4AB hopefully in October some time! Will be my first transfer!

I thinnnk I’ll be starting on 12th September, maybe 13th! I had my peak ovulation yesterday so will see when my period starts. I’m sorry about your failed FETs, but amazing to know your remaining one is healthy! I have no idea about the 2 we have on freeze. Everything crossed for you!! 🍍

Ah it’s frustrating when there’s a lot of waiting, that’s one of the annoying things about this journey, you don’t have much control over things 😞 fingers crossed your 4AB sticks!!!

Hi everyone!
I'm also gearing up for an October FET.
I had my first and only round of ICSI in 2022. Our little boy was born in 2023 and we froze 3 embryos.
We decided to have PGT-a on them as I couldn't face the heartache (or the cost) of putting all 3 back in and getting nowhere. We have had some of the results back - one euploid, one aneuploid and one inconclusive. The inconclusive one is now being retested.
Good luck to everyone joining, hopefully we'll be seeing lots of positives by the end of October x

@georgiaivf from one of the summer IVF threads is looking at similar timelines if you want to join us here too 🙃

Hi all, I’ve just had my first frozen cycle 2 weeks ago and should be transferring a 4AB around October time.

Thanks for tagging @Waitingforday6! I’m the same as you, it might get pushed to November if I have a particularly long cycle now that I’ve had my withdrawal bleed.

We have our consultants appointment in a couple of weeks to discuss medication for the FET cycle so I don’t actually know what it looks like- nurses have mentioned just oral oestrogen tablets but I’m sure I’ve seen people trigger when on a FET cycle?

I think I’ll be having oestrogen and progesterone, but I’ve noticed people triggering too, I’m not sure how that works 🤔 maybe different protocols? I wish I could remember my last FET but it’s all a bit of a blur.

Thank you @InfertilitySWS for your kind words, wishing you all the luck in the world too, it feels like the longest but also shortest time waiting to start 🤣 I’m hoping I don’t get too many side effects from the down regulation injection and not really sure what to expect as using zoladex this time. With my successful fresh cycle I used buserelin and only thing I remember was that it delayed my bleed, I think by about 9 days last time 🙈 also having my first intralipid infusion too at the same time (this new protocol feels like a lot!) I hope your period arrives on time 🤞🏼

@Waitingforday6 I hope you have a lovely holiday, where are you off too? Sometimes having that break is a really good thing! Hopefully your cycle isn’t too messed up and you can get started after your holiday 🤞🏼

@Peonies94 aw the waiting for appointments can be so frustrating sometimes especially when they dont align well with yr cycle. Have you had your consultation yet?

@Piapea sounds like we have quite similar stories! Our successful round was also in 2022 and my little boy also born in 2023. Sounds very sensible getting all your remaining embryos tested, looking back I wish we had also done the same but after 2 unsuccessful FETs we then tested our remaining ones and also wanted to cover all bases with immune testing, so maybe everything happens for a reason as otherwise we might not have considered immune issues at all! Congratulations on your euploid (such a rush of emotions) and I hope you also get good news on the inconclusive one 🤞🏼 do u have an idea when you will be starting your FET?

@Georgiaivf welcome! usually for a medicated FET it’s oral oestrogen then progesterone, but there are so many different protocols and every clinic likes to do things differently I find. Usually the oestrogen will prevent ovulation as you will have a scan around day 10 to check lining and that you are not going to ovulate but some people still do so maybe why they might use a trigger to better predict things? I think they also use a trigger for some natural and natural modified FETs too, hope this helps a bit xx

wishing everyone so much luck on this journey xx

Piapea · 03/09/2025 21:17

Hi all, I got a call today to say my inconclusive embryo is euploid!! We'll hopefully be transferring around mid October if everything else goes to plan.

@InfertilitySWS I had a trigger shot before my last transfer because I kept missing ovulation. The at home tests would indicate that I was ovulating but when I went into the clinic for a scan they said that it looks like I ovulated days ago. This happened twice so we decided a trigger and extra scans would help. I plan on doing everything exactly the same this time around.. like those footballers who won't change their socks😂

@sunflower1906 That does sound like a lot! I guess if your last successful transfer was fresh, it's hard to replicate the exact conditions!

Waitingforday6 · 04/09/2025 13:03

Yaaaay @Piapea great news on your now conclusive one 😀
@sunflower1906 we're going to Portugal. Where we are in the UK we have had heatwave after heatwave but it will be nice to hopefully get some sun pool or beachside after our IVF summer. We've been counting down for months. 😆 Thanks I'm still waiting for my period but I could tell I was ovulating later than usual after the withdrawal bleed so maybe my body is still getting back to normal after all the meds. If it's a lot later than this week then end of October might be ok otherwise end of November at this rate but we really don't want to get bad news just before Christmas but also don't want to wait until next year. Ahhhh! 😀 Isn't it funny how your attitude to your period changes as soon as you start IVF? You go from dreading it to impatiently waiting for it and celebrating its arrival 😂

Peonies94 · 07/09/2025 16:50

@sunflower1906 so I had my consultation last Monday, nurses consultation a few days later and not long later my period arrived! I was able to order my meds to arrive the next day so was actually able to start the cycle pretty quickly! So actually doing a September FET now instead, providing all goes okay. Baseline scan showed s cyst so now just waiting to see if it’s producing hormones or not, to see if my cycle is cancelled or can go ahead 🤞!

InfertilitySWS · 09/09/2025 00:01

How’s everyone doing?

I have my appointment tomorrow for swabs etc, my prescription for my meds, and I can’t sleep, I’m so anxious and I don’t even know why! Even have my restless legs playing up. Can’t imagine what I’m going to be like in the 2ww 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Piapea amazing news about your inconclusive embryo being euploid!! 🎉🎉 you must be over the moon with that! Congratulations!

@Waitingforday6 oh lovely a bit of autumnal sun in portugual sounds lovely before starting the stressful process of transferring. Yes it is strange I agree, we go from not wanting our periods to wanting it to come early or on time so you can just get started!

@Peonies94 that’s amazing that you have managed to start your FET already, sounds like it was meant to be, you will have to keep us updated of your progress and I’ve everything crossed for you 😘

@InfertilitySWS im with you on the anxiety train! Honestly some nights I feel like I don’t sleep at all and I’m in this constant state of anxiety. Hope all goes well with your swabs, what r they for if u don’t mind me asking?

I go through phases of constantly googling and asking chat GPT about vitamins/minerals and probiotics honestly I think I’m driving myself mad and possibly wasting my money 🤣🤣🤣 I just feel like I need to throw everything at this one … my latest buy which arrived yesterday was Zita wests ultra omega … will it make a difference probably not but my crazy brain is taking no chances 😵‍💫

just had my zoladex injection and 1st litralipid infusion so the nurse said I should expect my bleed sometime next week although it could make it later than usual so we will see … playing the waiting game now for AF to show up.

I also randomly saw a small rainbow yesterday while out driving which made me smile and feel instantly calm so hoping it’s a little sign 🌈🌈

I saw a double rainbow on my transfer day with my son!! Also, I don’t know how ChatGPT haven’t blocked my IP address because I’m a joke, all I do is ask if stuff 🤣

I think the swabs are just to check there’s no infections before starting treatment. I’m also waiting for my period to show! I have progynova at the ready. Should be today or tomorrow. I imagine it’ll be tomorrow though.

What were the infusion and injections for? Crazy how protocols can be so different!

Hey all! I think I will be early October, possibly very late September depending when AF decides to arrive! (hopefully any day now as my temp on my watch has been raised for the last week) This is my 3rd FET, my first and second both ended in MC but I'm trying to remain positive, third time lucky hopefully! When AF arrives I'll start on Evorel Patches again, hope everyone is feeling okay xx

@InfertilitySWS wow you saw a rainbow the transfer that gave you your son 🥰 clearly the universe was giving good signs! Has yr period showed up yet? The waiting drives me bonkers 🤣
it’s crazy how different things are even between clinics as mine don’t do any swabs prior to treatment for a FET. My zoladex injection is to down regulate prior to transfer as I had down regulation with my successful fresh transfer but not with my failed FETs so thought down regulating first might help calm everything down as she suspects I have some endometriosis and the intralipid infusion is to regulate my NK cells to try and prevent them attacking the embryo as a foreign body so will hoping increase the chances of implantation as my immune tests all came back high 🙈🙈

@waitingforourmiracle welcome to the group, sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages that sounds so tough, I really hope 3rd time is the lucky number for you and me 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hello 👋

Just checking in (likely to be Oct/Nov FET) but anyone has done/ will do unmedicated FET?

Deciding how to proceed and would love some perspectives.

Best wishes for you all - esp poster on third transfer. We had our first pregnancy from transfer 3!

Sara237 · 13/09/2025 15:49

I need to read this thread properly but I've been looking for an October group as I'm tentatively hoping to do a FET in October after a long period of set backs. I had my son in 2017. He was cycle 2 of IVF with me and my husband. That cycle also gave us a frozen blastocyst which didn't work in 2020. We then went through various tests and medical issues before deciding on donor treatment. Then once we finally had the blastocysts, I've been unable to get to transfer stage for over a year for various reasons. It doesn't help that our clinic is in Portugal so the monitoring and communication isn't the best. So, now I've just had the decapeptyl injection to shut ovaries down as my ovulation is undetectable even though I have regular periods and LH surges but whenever I get to the scan, I've always already ovulated...just waiting for period, then start oestrogen. Be lovely to have some others who get this rollercoaster!

Yeah showed today so started on my oestrogen! I’m already so impatient. Have a lining scan booked for 26th Sept. Ahh that’s interesting, it’s good that they’ve adjusted stuff based on prior transfers. I’ve heard of NK cells and wondered if our issues could be related to those. I’ve been extremely ‘lucky’ in the past to not get pregnant, so I do think it’s probably on my end that we have issues conceiving naturally, but who knows! Do you like your clinic? Have you always used the same one?

@FET2025 I’ve never had an unmedicated FET, not sure why 🤔 do you know what makes them decided to not use meds in your case?

@Sara237 oh it must be difficult having a clinic so far away! That’s one of the annoying things about this journey isn’t it, we have no bloody control over our bodies or this whole process. Hope AF shoes soon. I just started oestrogen today so hoping my body plays ball and does its thing by my lining scan.
