Is anyone else doing a FET in Spetember?
I have got one good quality embryo and going to implant in September.
Anyone else doing the same? Would be good to chat to help with all this waiting!!

Update: my clinic called and they actually decided to double my estradiol (Progynova) meds.

zirafica · 10/09/2025 13:40

General question for all the ladies struggling with thin lining - was this something that was flagged to you before you were started preparing for FET? I had a nurse comment on how thick my lining was while I was on stims, but not sure if that means it was just reacting well to the estrogen in the stims, and might have the same issue otherwise? Any guidance on this?

Mamafromtheblock · 10/09/2025 15:16

Hopefully that double dose kicks your lining into action @FluentTealGuide!

I had yet another scan today (think this is number 5!) and I still have a pesky dominant follicle so my transfer has been pushed back yet again, likely to be 10days later than I first thought now - might need to join the October FET at this rate!! Now waiting on blood test results to decide next steps.
Trying to look on the bright side - I am thankful that we have frozen embryos to transfer and if I need an extra week or two for optimal transfer conditions then of course I’d rather do that than rush ahead!

MyAgileZebra · 10/09/2025 16:44

Thanks for all the well wishes, everything went smoothly. Now PUPO with OTD on 23rd 😬.

@FluentTealGuide my clinic said that transfer needed to be 7 days after starting progesterone.

FluentTealGuide · 10/09/2025 16:52

@MyAgileZebra I’m glad the transfer went well.

That’s what they’d told me previously. I just got confused because they said last scan that if my lining was confirmed today, the transfer would be Wednesday next week. Perhaps they meant I’d be starting progesterone Mon/Tue and transfer the following Mon if the lining is good this Friday.

Kr0 · 10/09/2025 17:02

Yayy @MyAgileZebra
my transfer went well too although my progesterone was lower on the test so I have injections now. But so glad we know about it. OTD 24th but I don’t think I’ll last that long tbh

MyAgileZebra · 10/09/2025 17:12

@FluentTealGuide good luck, mine only got up to 6.7 before I started progesterone but they seemed ok with that. I'm not on 4 tablets and the patches.

@Kr0 glad to hear it went well, at least you know that you continuously have enough with injections too. I often worry that the majority of the pessary is just coming out as at lot of them I don't get the opportunity to lie down. There's not a chance I'll last that long, I'm going to try and hold out until 8dpt.

Peonies94 · 10/09/2025 19:43

Hope all went okay for everyone @FluentTealGuide i have another scan tomorrow, providing all goes okay i start progesterone on the weekend ready for a transfer on Wednesday!

Peonies94 · 10/09/2025 19:50

So my clinic has said it’s 5 days for progesterone and then transfer! Seems like they’re all different though!

Mine was the same as this! Good luck!!!

Peonies94 · 10/09/2025 21:13

Thank you! Feels like it’s getting close now but time is going so slowly!! It’s just so hard waiting for each stage! Period, then scans/meds etc and then transfer, then it’ll be another wait to test date!

CloudyIvy55 · 10/09/2025 22:37

Best of luck @MyAgileZebrado you plan to hold out to OTD?

MintOwl · 11/09/2025 00:06

Hi all,
Sharing some positive news - I had positive HCG & progesterone results at my clinic on Monday and again today (14dp6dt) and home test this morning confirming pregnancy 😊
Feeling tentatively excited! If inevitably anxious given journey to get here
continuing on tablets, pessaries and injections ahead of 6 week scan in two weeks’ time 🤞
@CloudyIvy55 was your OTD test all ok?
congrats on being PUPO @MyAgileZebra and @Kr0 and all the best to @jenk91, @Gosia19 and others having transfers and testing this week xx

Gosia19 · 11/09/2025 05:35

Congratulations @MintOwl - I’m so pleased for you!!! Lovely news.

Thanks also for the well wishes. My transfer is at lunchtime. My clinic have asked me to take a Diclofenac suppository two hours before, but when I had my dummy transfer it seemed pretty straightforward? Has anyone else been given pain relief?

I feel a bit nervous about taking it as upset tummy is a common side effect, which seems stressful when drinking loads of water beforehand. I’m wondering whether to skip it… I wish I’d asked my clinic before, I had assumed it was an antibiotic rather than pain relief.

Peonies94 · 11/09/2025 06:51

@MintOwl conggratulations! Wonderful news! L

Kr0 · 11/09/2025 07:54

Congratulations @MintOwl that’s great news.

@Gosia19 good luck today! I didn’t have any pain relief and didn’t feel like I needed it. It’s a very quick procedure.

CloudyIvy55 · 11/09/2025 08:59

Amazing news @MintOwl so pleased for you! How are you feeling?

Yes, tested again on OTD, still positive. Now waiting for my six week scan on the 25th. Definitely feeling anxious too.

MintOwl · 11/09/2025 09:27

Thanks all! That’s great to hear @CloudyIvy55, my scan is also on the 25th.
Feeling ok physically at the moment, apart from residual anxiety. How about you?

@Gosia19 I didn’t have any pain relief either and felt fine, all the best whatever you decide

MyAgileZebra · 11/09/2025 09:57

@CloudyIvy55 I wish I had the patience but I'm going to try hold out to 8DPT. How are you feeling? Many symptoms?

Congratulations @MintOwl, great news.

Good luck today @Gosia19, If you are ok with a smear then transfer is no worse. The only discomfort is needing to pee.

jenk91 · 11/09/2025 10:49

Oh yay @MintOwl !! So pleased for you 💜💜💜

CloudyIvy55 · 11/09/2025 11:36

Another two week wait begins! @MintOwl

@MyAgileZebraI'm feeling well thank you. The wait is so hard, I distracted myself with all sorts of random jobs but found it almost impossible. Hoping you can keep your mind busy with other things x

@Gosia19 I've never had pain relief with both my transfers and its been fine. Uncomfortable, like anything like this, but not painful. I did feel a bit achey over the next couple of days but they did have to press down quite hard with the ultrasound to see what they were doing. I was always nervous about needing the toilet but the advice the clinic said to me was wee 1 hour before then drink 500ml over 30 mins. My transfer was actually 30 mins delayed as well and I kinda needed the loo but didn't feel uncomfortable at all in that way and the consultant said bladder was perfectly full but not over full. I've got 4 more days to wait until I test - felt some cramping today thats made me feel a bit uneasy but just trying to stay positive. Good luck with your transfer tomorrow x

Gosia19 · 11/09/2025 18:19

Thanks everyone for the lovely messages! I took the suppository just so I felt better about following the clinic’s instructions, but it didn’t give me side effects and as expected the procedure wasn’t painful at all. Very emotional as the team were so kind and encouraging. 2WW begins!

I’m really appreciating sharing the journey with everyone, it’s so nice to hear everyone’s good news and wishing everyone all the best for anybody preparing for transfer or waiting to find out the result.

Gosia19 · 11/09/2025 18:21

Thinking of you @Ephesus1010 - this is my first transfer so haven’t had the 2WW before, but everything I’ve read on here suggests cramping could be loads of different things that might not be anything to worry about. We’re here for you, just a few more days to go. :)

So glad it went well @Gosia19 I always find that with my clinic. I am nervous and apprehensive before going to anything and then I get to the waiting room and just feel calm. All the staff are just so kind and so friendly - it will always be a special place for me regardless of what happens this time. I just think the work they do is amazing. Glad you had a good experience today and hope the next two weeks don't drag too much xxx
