Is anyone else doing a FET in Spetember?
I have got one good quality embryo and going to implant in September.
Anyone else doing the same? Would be good to chat to help with all this waiting!!

Yes exactly, I’m taking one twice a day, twelve hours apart (as with the other two)

How are you all doing? Feel like this has been the slowest week ever and only at the start of my cycle! Many more weeks to go!

Hi @Peonies94 the waiting is so hard isn’t it. When are you planning to transfer?

I’m a bit dejected because I’d really hoped to do a transfer this cycle straight after my failed one in august. But the clinic want me to wait one cycle and do it next, beginning of Oct ish. I know there’s no race or rush etc but it’s so hard to be patient!!

especially as when you get to IVF you’ve mostly been on a long journey of TTC.

@Peonies94 I’m very similar, as they decided to do a scan on day 8 (today) too. Good thing as my lining is already 6.5–6.9mm (they said they want it 7.8–8mm before starting the progesterone), so I’m going back for a scan on Wednesday and potential transfer next Weds!

I feel exactly the same!

I went in for egg collection in August planning to do a fresh transfer the following week, however my progesterone was borderline high on trigger day so they decided it would be better to do a freeze all if the embryos were suitable.

I then needed to wait for the post retrieval bleed, one natural cycle (now) and then on my next cycle we can prepare for frozen transfer, that was almost not possible due to admin time for their side so I am aware I am very fortunate to be starting it very soon and not having to wait for another month. And grateful I even have emrbyos. Having said that you have my sympathy, this isn’t where I thought I’d still be, waiting again when we first saw the IVF clinic consultant back in June I though it would be 6-8 weeks until pregnancy test as that’s what all of the leaflets etc they gave me said was the average.

Fingers crossed we all get to start a 9month wait very soon :) another few weeks after years of waits, we can do this!

@Hopeandfaith1990 rhats frustrating! Think my clinic are the same and if this fails I’d want to go straight into another! 😔

no idea of a timescale yet! Just keep getting told when my next scan is!

so so far I had one scan at baseline, then had to have bloods and have another scan! Lining is a little too thin so have had to increase my estrogen! Guess I’ll have another 2 scans and if after those will go ahead and start progesterone for transfer!

@FluentTealGuide sounds like your st a similar stage to me! No idea when my transfer will be though, I think maybe a few days after yours!

For all the thin lining ladies, know I'm right here with you. The consultants have been stringing my medicated cycle out as long as technically possible in the hope my lining thickens to 7mm. The four estrogen tablet dose wasn't enough, cause I only measured 5.Xmm today. They're adding estrogen patches and they'll have one last check on Friday... before they cancel the cycle. Hoping the patches are the answer, but won't hold our breath :(

I super hope you’re not in this situation and your transfer works 🩷🩷 the wait is so frustrating!

I’m sure the extra estrogen will help - beetroot and pomegranate juice are also an old wives tale 🤞🏻

Ah yes it sounds like we’re in a similar situation. Super grateful to have embryos but just want to get this show on the road! 3 years into this TTC lark and it’s definitely getting old. A 9 month wait sounds perfect 😂🩷

We’ve got this! I’m sure when our babies are finally here days and weeks like this will pass in a blink of an eye, it just feels soo slow now. The admin delays are also so annoying but seem to be so common!

it is just a case of waiting to get to one stage and then a whole other reason to wait! Just seems never ending!

Hi ladies, mind if I join you for my last ever FET. Had my second scan today and lining is 9.8mm so we are good to go for transfer next Tuesday. I am not overly optimistic as my last embryo is 3BC.

Hello everyone, mind if I join??
I had a fresh transfer just over 3 years ago after having only 2 blastocycsts and were extremely lucky to have a little boy. We're now returning for a FET for the 2nd blasto and praying to give our son a sibling - likely our last attempt.
I'm having a short medicated cycle and started injections last Thursday with a scan planned for Monday.

Is it usual to have more than one scan or could it be full steam ahead for transfer does anyone know??

@Hopefull1981 welcome! I wouldn’t read too much into the grading, I have seen soooo many ladies on here saying that their ‘lower quality’ embryos resulted in their babies, so keeping everything crossed for you!

@StillBelieving2 welcome to you too! Fingers crossed for you! From when I had my bleed and started my meds I only had one scan and since they were happy with everything I have transfer booked, but I know everywhere seems to do things so differently so I guess it depends!

My last embryo is 3BC too. Best of luck to both of us. Glad that you got the all clear for your lining. Mine's still struggling to hit the threshold. It's just nice to know there's another person out there with an embryo of a similar rating.

FET seems so different to fresh! Or I've simply forgotten it all!

@ALittleExpressive my lining was 6mm on Friday so I was not confident at all that it would get there.

what cycle day are you? On my successful transfer I needed 3 scans to get it there. The transfer ended up on cycle day 25. I took extra omega 3 and took the oestrogen vaginally instead of orally (night time dose).

thanks ladies. I had double embryo transfer last month both 3BC’s and they didn’t implant was so annoying. All my others at least implanted.

@Hopefull1981 your linin has done really well for 4 days, mine in 3 days only increased by a mm so been given extra meds!
I have another scan booked for the end of the week and providing all is okay, I can start my progesterone then! If lining needs a little longer it’ll be a scan begining of next week to start progesterone instead! 🤞🤞

Hi ladies is it ok if I join? I had my transfer on 1st September. Now 8dp5dt. Tested negative today and can’t help but feel disappointed as I had convinced myself I was feeling everything. Official test date is 11dpt

I had another scan today (scan no.3!) and my endometrium is around 6.5mm. They want me to just continue with the meds as I have been doing and rescan on Friday.

A little confused as the doctor said transfer could be Monday or Tuesday, but I was under the impression it would be 7 days after lining confirmed, not 5! I asked the nurse but she didn’t really have much of an answer, just that it would depend on my bloods.
