@confused2025thank you for this info!! Yay two clubs twins 🙃, well wish GD was not the one.
I think Xmas mince pies and panettone didn’t help 🫣

I know and it is a little awkward but it’s not as bad as expected. I am lucky though as I’m nearly at the end. You do notice trends too so as I said early, it seems like it’s potato that really does it for me so I’m on a potato ban now

On my 31 weeks midwife appointment my midwife asked if I had a birth plan and my hospital bags packed which I have just done now.
I’ll be 34 weeks on Friday so I’ll let my midwife know the plans but shes already aware since my 24 weeks appointment that I’ve opt for c-section due to high risk and previous gynae issues, I’ve been informed of the pros and cons by the consultant.
I’ll get my c section date soon but my hospital have said planned c sections are generally booked in for 1 week before your due date so that’s the date I’m aiming for (unless I go into early labour)
I also went to an antenatal class at the hospital I’m having the baby in and we had a tour of the birth/labour/ theatre ward which was lovely, it really put my mind at ease knowing each patient will have individual rooms so you’re more relaxed.
I hope everyone is doing well.
I have severe back and rib pains, I’m pretty certain baby’s legs are well and truly snug within my ribs and head is down, I’m feeling a lot of pressure at the moment which makes it difficult to walk.

Hope you both are ok, as much as can be in this situation! In my previous pregnancy I tested positive at 27w, but they managed to stop it and I dragged till 33w. Really hoping little one will stay put for a while xx

I stayed like 3 days, but all was good and tension, contractions stopped, so they let me to go home. I signed the letter that I take all responsibility.
Mine was due to very short cervix, they measured weekly. Also they prepped the lungs with steroids I think. Having premmie is not easy walk..but all will be good 🙏
This time I have a tiny chance for longer term as did a surgery, though situation changes again now, and might be in the same situation, I am 26w almost

Anybody else struggling in 3rd tri? I’m 30 weeks now and feel so heavy and useless. It’s hard to bend, if I sit on the floor I struggle to get back up and I’m out of breath after going up the stairs. On top of that my hormones have suddenly gone crazy and I’m either teary or feeling really snappy

confused2025 · 11/01/2026 17:02

@lemons44im definitely feeling uncomfortable - I can’t stay in a certain position for too long or my back aches. Also missing my comfort food with this GD diagnosis (week 32 -36 hardest they say for just high spikes and I’m week 35). I’m not too hormonal though. I guess we are nearly on the other side of this x

lemons44 · 11/01/2026 17:05

You are lucky with the hormones @confused2025 I am just a miserable old hag to live with at the moment 🤣 my back pain has not been too bad tbh it’s only just started and very minor. Sorry that you are missing your comfort food ☹️ is it mainly carbs and sugar u need to avoid?

we started our NCT classes too and really enjoying them. We have 9 couples in ours and it’s been a real laugh. The teacher made all the men group up and do a show and tell of ‘possible positions for labour’ for the women, which was really funny.

confused2025 · 11/01/2026 17:19

I’ve only found my back sore in the last 2 weeks but ive definitely got a lot bigger. Yeah basically anything that is big gi I need to avoid so things like rice, potatoes, white bread need to be avoided along with chocolate and crisps (which is ok) but I’m missing ice cream and have the biggest craving for McDonalds at the moment lol so attempting to make ‘healthy’ chicken nuggets tonight.
that doesn’t sound like fun. Try and do some nice things for yourself. How is your prep coming along? I did not realise how much work would go into washing all the clothes/blankets/soft toys lol
I’m doing a longer baby academy course on Sat - the free one was really good. Just with timings the in person ones didn’t work for us but everyone says you meet really good friends from it

KayEmmSquared · 11/01/2026 21:31

@lemons44 I’m 31 weeks tomorrow and I’m the exact same as you right now, the hormones have a life of their own, up and down like a mad lady, I’m just running with it though lol sounds like a problem for my husband to deal with 😂

stairs are my absolute nemesis now, and I really cannot get comfy no matter how I walk, sit or lie down.

lemons44 · 12/01/2026 11:27

Sorry to hear you are going through it too @KayEmmSquared but glad I am not alone. Are you also insanely tired? I feel so tired all the time and I am sure that is making the hormones worse. I had hormones in the first trimester but nothing like this.

@confused2025i hope you enjoyed your healthy nuggets. I have seen some people make a ‘Big Mac salad’ which might be something you could look at.

Prep is getting there thanks. We now have our furniture due this week and we had our travel system delivered last week. Still undecided which next to me to buy! And I am really debating the owlet sock. Thanks for the tip about how long washing is taking, I will start that earlier rather than later

FlatWhiteAnyone · 12/01/2026 12:49

@worldwidetravel2017 hi, how are you doing? Any feedback from your consultant and blood results? Hope little one stays put in 🙏

unfortunately I am on the risk of another early delivery, surgery I had before didn’t help, my cervix is again shortening really fast. They put me on bed rest, had Arabin pessary fitted.. really hope to get at least to 30w (I am 26 only).
