Hi - I couldn’t find a thread but just wondered if anyone else was expecting in 2026 post ivf? I’m due end of Feb so just wanting any similar ladies to chat with!

Mine is active after food mostly. But I don’t feel him all day yet and the movements are gentle so I don’t tend to notice it unless I’m sitting or lying down.

KayEmmSquared · 05/12/2025 07:40

I don’t have a pattern yet other than a happy dance any time I eat, but I’ve had a few quieter days this week and been really freaked out only for baby to be more active the next day. Another worry to add to the pile 🙈

magpie234 · 05/12/2025 09:25

I would love to start feeling mine but have just turned 19 weeks today and have an anterior placenta so think I might have a longer wait.

SamVan · 08/12/2025 10:59

Is anyone else getting braxton hicks contractions - just like a random hardening and tight feeling in your abdomen? I seem to get it the moment i lie down to sleep at night and it's really uncomfortable and goes on and off for quite a long time! It is worrying me a lot as I'm only 21 weeks

lemons44 · 09/12/2025 19:43

Sorry @SamVan I haven’t! Have you asked the midwife? x

confused2025 · 12/12/2025 08:29

@SamVan hope you’re doing ok. I don’t think I’ve had this.
I’ve just had the gestational diabetes test due to baby measuring BIG. It actually wasn’t bad and tastes like a capri sun for anyone who has one coming up and is worried x

FlatWhiteAnyone · 12/12/2025 09:53

Thank you @confused2025! I am having it in a few weeks, a bit worried as baby also measuring big 90 percentile. They did a blood sugar test two weeks ago which was good (family history of diabetes).

confused2025 · 12/12/2025 09:55

@FlatWhiteAnyonethis baby is in the 97th percentile. I think it can be an IVF factor too. I was assessed as ‘low risk’ and thought I was getting away with it. The only bad part is the waiting around but you will be grand x

FlatWhiteAnyone · 12/12/2025 10:08

@confused2025 my previous scan 2w ago also said 97 percentile, but she didn’t have a good scan and sent me to another specialist to rescan. Now it is 90 or so. Oh hope it is just a big long baby

SamVan · 12/12/2025 10:37

@lemons44 @confused2025 Thanks both! I saw my ob and she measured my cervix to check it's long and closed and everything is fine! or anyone who gets BH in future apparently it can be quite normal early on especially if you have fibroids but its a good idea to check your cervix anw to ensure you're not potentially going into early labour.

confused2025 · 12/12/2025 18:03

@FlatWhiteAnyoneso I have GD but it looks like it was the 2nd blood test after 1 hour and it is slightly elivated but the first blood test and final blood test were below range. I think they’re will be giving me extra care now so maybe not such a bad thing and I have been eating too badly so it shouldn’t be a big life style change x

thats good that they checked. I have been surprised that no one has checked mine and I’m in the final few weeks. I have just ordered my hospital bag items so will be putting this together soon in case of an emergency x

FlatWhiteAnyone · 12/12/2025 18:16

Oh sorry to hear that @confused2025, but good they will keep a close eye on you

lemons44 · 13/12/2025 12:22

That’s good @SamVan hopefully has out your mind at rest.

Sorry you have GD @confused2025. My test is the week before Xmas

lemons44 · 14/12/2025 09:26

@confused2025@FlatWhiteAnyone how did you find out what percentile your baby is? At my scans they have just been measuring the four parts of baby (brain, femur etc).

confused2025 · 14/12/2025 09:29

@lemons44 it’s not so bad and it seems like they take extra care of you and baby and I don’t have to change diet much as have been relatively healthy. They showed us the graph with my measurements and where baby was just after the scan for 28weeks. I’m back for another one on Monday.

FlatWhiteAnyone · 14/12/2025 09:31

@lemons44 - the reaction of my dr - o it is a big baby 97 percentile.. but I don’t have a good scan, so lets refer you to a specialist to rescan. And lets do another sugar blood test (my glucose test in a few weeks). Then after rescan the dr said yes baby is above 90 percentile, but wasn’t like concerned.. My DH is tall..so might be just a longer baby

Orangewillow · 14/12/2025 16:57

I was told percentile measurements at 20 week scan and a private scan at 28 weeks, and it was in the report I got sent on My Chart after the 20 week scan. At 20 weeks he had a 93% head, so maybe they just mention it if it's noteworthy!

lemons44 · 22/12/2025 17:23

My gestational diabetes test didn’t go great.

Started at 5.5 and ended up 2.2. I felt all weird and shakey as the dropped so low. Nurse said it’s something called reactive hypoglycemia and some people’s bodies produce too much insulin so that’s why it dipped. Been told I need to just ensure I have frequent small meals to avoid it happening.

confused2025 · 22/12/2025 19:31

@lemons44sending you a hug. Are they making you monitor it? I have to test 4 times a day but actually my levels have been ok and found out today that baby isn’t fat it’s just long so no longer 97th percentile 😅

I was told 95th percentile yesterday

confused2025 · 23/12/2025 20:49

@worldwidetravel2017it can depend on the person scanning you. I was 97th percentile on my 28 week scan and then on Friday for 32 week scan I was 79th x

confused2025 · 23/12/2025 20:49

Also finally found out I’m having a girl

Also finally found out I’m having a girl

Congrats
And hey fellow girl mum

confused2025 · 25/12/2025 13:49

Thanks @worldwidetravel2017.We got a 4D scan. Very different to NHS scan. Also baby girl has a lot of hair so explains my acid reflux I think ☺️
hope everyone is having a nice day so far - crazy to think that next year will look a lot different for us all x
