Thanks @worldwidetravel2017.We got a 4D scan. Very different to NHS scan. Also baby girl has a lot of hair so explains my acid reflux I think ☺️
hope everyone is having a nice day so far - crazy to think that next year will look a lot different for us all x

We have a 4d one jan 4th

lemons44 · 26/12/2025 10:27

@confused2025 no they are not asking me to monitor it and haven’t booked any follow up tests or anything. They’ve just said I need to eat small meals regularly.

lemons44 · 26/12/2025 10:28

Happy belated Xmas ladies!! Hope you have all had a magical one. I am officially in the third trimester tomorrow 😱😱

congrats @confused2025that is wonderful news!! 💗

confused2025 · 26/12/2025 13:22

@lemons44I'm finding 3rd trimester a little easier than the 2nd. That’s good - I have to use a glucose monitor 4 times a day. I’ve generally been in range apart from one night we had a Chinese take away. We’ve started to get things ready so feeling a little more prepared than I was before x

Have any of you ladies been put on Inhixa injections? I started them last week and my stomach is bruised so bad from the injections! Just wondering if anyone else has bad bruising from it.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! The 2026 babies will be appearing very very soon 😀

Thanks @worldwidetravel2017 I already bruise like a peach so this is probably just amplifying that, this journey isn’t easy but nearly there 🤞🏻

4 the ivf i used to use ice packs
But once pregnancy was confirmed , i then stopped using ice packs

How far along are you ?

We are 29w today

KayEmmSquared · 27/12/2025 13:29

@worldwidetravel2017 we are 29weeks tomorrow!

The stinging is annoying for 10mins but not too bad, sometimes it last longer but I wouldn’t say it’s painful or I need to ice it, it is more that I looked like a battered woman right now lol

No, we are waiting until Birth to find out, can’t wait!!

@KayEmmSquared eurgh inhixa was my least fave injection as it was one I had during IVF too. I was honestly black and blue with it. Also it gave me huge lumps under the skin. I found if I rubbed it after injecting because it hurt, that made the bruising worse. Sorry you are having to have these ones! How comes they have put you on them?

lemons44 · 30/12/2025 16:51

Just went baby clothes shopping for the first time 😱😱 seriously nobody prepares u for this and knowing what to buy 🤣 has anybody else felt a bit overwhelmed and like an imposter? we just started with some vests, sleep suits, hats and scratch mittens. Went to Asda as they had cute bits and it’s reasonably priced. It’s hard to know what size to buy as there’s up to 9lb clothes and up to 12lb clothes.

confused2025 · 30/12/2025 16:56

@lemons44 it is very overwhelming. With the scans indicating bay was big - I went with 0-3 months. Also found nappies confusing - how many size 1s to buy! I have found the John Lewis and H&M sale good. Also with just finding out it’s a girl I went a little crazy in the Zara snd Mamas and Papas sale. I’m now in the middle of washing it all. Also just realised I need to get a mattress protector and covers for pram. I think I’m nearly set though.

Strawberrryfields · 30/12/2025 17:14

@confused2025 with the nappies I’d recommend not getting too many as some babies don’t get on so well with certain brands then at least you won’t be stuck with loads of them!

It’s horrible isn’t it, I have one lump so far so I’m glad you said that, I won’t panic now I know it’s common lol I’m on them due to my age (38) and bmi (30). I know it’s not possible but every time I inject I’m scared I’m injecting the baby 😂 thanks for the rubbing tip, I’ll try to avoid that now, although they are very stingy!

KayEmmSquared · 30/12/2025 17:19

@lemons44 that so excited you’ve started your baby clothes shopping, I’m holding off until the new year, still terrified I’ll jinx it so I’ve made the new year my acceptable “let’s get excited” target! Thankfully only one more day to get through.

All the supermarkets are having their Baby&Toddler events starting this weekend, I hope everyone gets some good bargains!

Definitely had that imposter feeling with my eldest and to some extent again this time. We’ve got loads of baby stuff saved so don’t really need anything but now think buying some bits might help it sink in more that this baby is actually coming! Feeling like I need to do some nesting and prep stuff but just not sure when or what…

Orangewillow · 30/12/2025 18:16

I've got a John Lewis appointment later this week to buy everything (well I've got a couple of bits already, but not most of what we need) and it does feel quite daunting/shit is getting real! I still feel a bit weird about getting the nursery ready and having a house full of baby stuff but I'm 33+2 now and need to actually be prepared in case he decided to make an early appearance, and making the most of being off work this week too to organise things

confused2025 · 30/12/2025 18:28

@Orangewillowshit is really getting real 🤣. We got our pram together and Moses basket and crib up and going and have washed some things but feel like I have a lot to do. Also have my other half booked in for a new parents class on Friday as he’s realised he has no base line knowledge and is a little freaked out lol

magpie234 · 30/12/2025 18:35

Had our JL appt today and it was fun and exciting but def also a bit overwhelming! Not actually bought anything yet but getting a good list together now. Chose our pram and got a few first baby clothes (she is due 1 May so I think I am going to find it hard knowing how to keep her at the right temperature… I guess all about the layers same as for us in spring). Need to remember that I can actually also buy things once she is here 😅

lemons44 · 30/12/2025 18:59

@magpie234 that’s exciting. I am due end of March and also not sure about the weather as it could be warming up by then or could be snow! I think layers is the way to go.

@Orangewillow have you chosen a theme for your nursery? We are clearing one of our spare rooms this week to get it ready for decorating. We are going for an under the sea theme 🪼🐠🐳🦀 I’ve seen a super cute wall paper mural and my mum is making a little cot mobile with crocheted sea creatures.

@KayEmmSquared thanks I didn’t know that about the supermarkets!

@Strawberrryfields good tip about the nappies. We looked at nappies for the first time today and realised we have no clue how many would be needed a day so ended up on google in the nappy aisle trying to work out how long a pack may last 🤣

@confused2025 you are so organised! When are you due again? I think it must feel nice to get to a point of having everything done, hospital bag packed and then just waiting with excitement.

lemons44 · 30/12/2025 19:04

This was my fave baby grow that I bought today … so cute 😭😩

@lemons44 Nursery theme sounds lovely! We aren't redecorating as we kind of chose a colour/curtains with a baby in mind when we moved in a few years ago and room is pale green with bee curtains, and I've got a painting with bees in there so that's sort of the theme, and I've already bought him several bear hats/onesies/other stuff so bears and bees it is!

@confused2025 need to do allll those things haha, midwife freaked me out last week asking if my hospital bag was packed and I was like er, haven't even bought the stuff to go in it yet, he's not due till mid Feb! But it's put the wind up me a bit to get stuff together in case he does come early and also I'm so slow/tired at the moment everything is taking forever to get done

magpie234 · 30/12/2025 20:32

Tomorrow I have an obstetrics consultant appt at the hospital and am not sure why. I assume automatic protocol for ivf preg but 🤷‍♀️. No idea what to expect. Thankfully everything seems to be going smoothly so far.
