Hi - I couldn’t find a thread but just wondered if anyone else was expecting in 2026 post ivf? I’m due end of Feb so just wanting any similar ladies to chat with!

@lemons44 my last test was yesterday at 12dp5dt - only as I’ve run out and I’ve told myself I’m not allowed to buy more!

Morning all. When did people stop doing pregnancy tests? I am 15DP5DT and it’s the first morning I haven’t done one. I already feel really anxious having not done it. However I don’t want to keep driving myself mad with testing! My symptoms can be here one day and gone the next and I have nothing this morning which I think is what is fuelling the anxiety.

Edited

I am 5+1 ( 18dp5dt) and i am tempted to run out and get one today because i dont feel nauseous yet this morning which is silly! I last tested on 13dp5dt. Its so hard :(

lemons44 · 20/07/2025 10:10

@Timetotryagaini’m worried that if i test and for what ever reason it doesn’t look as dark it will make the worrying worse! I have noticed a huge difference in my frer tests depending on the test themselves. Some seem to have thicker lines in them if that makes sense. Multiple times I have done two in the mornings and they both look different despite using the same urine

confused2025 · 20/07/2025 10:14

I kept testing with CB Digital until 6 weeks to get my 3weeks plus but I drove myself mad in the process. Morning sickness can happen at any stage of the day and some days can be better than others x

Timetotryagain · 20/07/2025 11:20

@lemons44 i have done the same with tests being totally different even an hour difference!

@confused2025 when did you get your 3+ (and also when was the first and last time you had a 2 - 3)

confused2025 · 20/07/2025 11:24

@Timetotryagainim pretty sure I was 6+5 and I originally had a high beta of 817 from my clinic. I took the tests apart to compare and the line was actually very strong in the 2-3 weeks one. My clinic nurse said that they’re so unreliable with dates. Some people never get a 3+ on it and they have perfectly healthy pregnancies x

Timetotryagain · 20/07/2025 11:28

@confused2025 Yeah this was my 2 - 3 line which feels like its quite close to being "3+"

I hate the stress of it and i hate that i have brought in the stress myself haha

I spend all day worrying that stress if going to harm the baby and then stressing even more because i am stressed 🙈🙈

IVF babies due 2026?
confused2025 · 20/07/2025 11:32

@Timetotryagain mine looked exactly the same. I think you should stop testing from someone who was doing the exact same thing. My 7 + 1 scan was good on measurement and heartbeat so I hope this consoles you a little. I think we will just have anxiety all throughout this. I’m now panicked for my 10 + 5 scan on Friday so I totally get it x

Timetotryagain · 20/07/2025 11:35

@confused2025 you're so right, i think i should!

It will be soo much less anxiety when the baby starts kicking in 2nd trimester and we can get daily reassurance haha! Is this your dating scan or a private one?

confused2025 · 20/07/2025 11:38

@Timetotryagain from
friends that have gone through IVF, they have warned me that the anxiety is there throughout the journey 😢
this is my NHS scan. I think they’re bringing me in early due to age as I was 39 at time of transfer but turned 40 a few weeks ago. I only had my seven week scan with clinic and have now ‘graduated’ x

Orangewillow · 20/07/2025 14:32

For what its worth, I have read that after 6 weeks, those weekly reading tests can be unreliable!

I tested on the day my clinic told me (9 days post transfer, which seems a lot earlier than many other clinics) and then a couple of days later, then stopped for my sanity as I knew I'd obsess. I also did the kind with words rather than lines as the initial one I did with lines had such a faint line and it freaked me out. Its easier said than done I know, but a positive test ir a positive test and then it's the arduous wait until an early scan to see what's going on... those first few weeks felt like they went so slowly, especially as I had constant spotting and was spiralling!

lemonwrighty · 20/07/2025 21:37

Congratulations to everyone.
I’m currently 9w2days and I’m due 20th February, baby #1, first fresh successful transfer so feel so blessed but at the same time I’m full of anxiety that something is going to go wrong. I’ve not had any of the “normal” first trimester symptoms other than that I am eating for 10 people from the moment I wake up to the moment I to go bed 😭
I had my scan with my clinic when I was 7w4days where baby was growing well and we heard the heartbeat which sent me into full blown tears.
We have our nhs booking appointment next week, does anyone know what happens on this appointment?
I have another appointment when I will be 12w3d, I’m assuming this is when I’ll have my nhs 12 week scan?

confused2025 · 21/07/2025 03:37

@lemonwrightycongrstulations ☺️ I 100% understand on the anxiety. Our NHS scan is on Friday. Not sure if it is different by region, but in Northern Ireland we have a scan and bloods (similar to viral bloods done before starting IVF). I’m not sure if they do NIPT at this stage or if they will do this (if not, I will be doing this privately).

lemonwrighty · 21/07/2025 18:37

@confused2025 how exciting for your scan on Friday. How far along are you? I still have a few more weeks until my scan. I spoke to the hospital about my booking appointment and theyll doing the blood tests, urine sample and going through medical history with me. I’m a bit worried I’ve chosen a hospital 40 minutes away from where I live, there is a hospital that’s only 15 minutes but friends and family who have had babies recently have said the maternity ward and the care is horrendous, I’m anxious enough as it is without worrying about the hospitals level of care.

lemons44 · 21/07/2025 20:32

@Timetotryagain@PlanBFertilityhow are u both doing? I did cave and did a test today just because I wanted the reassurance that I’ve made the 5 week mark. But now going to try and keep busy until my viability scan.

hope everybody else is doing ok. When did people tell their GP? I don’t really know when I should do this.

PlanBFertility · 21/07/2025 21:17

Hi @lemons44 - all going ok over here, how are you doing? Had my second lot of HCG bloods today (went from 823 to 1797 in 48hrs). Booked in for my early scan on 7th August.

confused2025 · 21/07/2025 21:47

@lemonwrighty I’m 10+1. For the sake of 25 mins, it will be worth it. You and your baby need to be in the safest place possible.
@lemons44 in Northern Ireland, we can self refer via the trusts website so I haven’t needed my GP yet. once you get your positive, they encourage you to send in details. I think they like to bring in IVF folks a little earlier.
@PlanBFertility that’s amazing. How are you feeling about everything now?

Timetotryagain · 22/07/2025 07:24

@lemons44 doing well thank you! 5+3 and starting to feel slightly more nauseous. Scan booked for 4th august i think! So only 13 days haha

@confused2025 yeah i referred online too via my hospital

@PlanBFertility we will have scans at similar times then :D

@lemonwrighty thats good that you have chosen a hospitsl with better maternity care!

lemons44 · 22/07/2025 08:44

My clinic booked my viability scan for 1st Aug and I will only be 6+4 then which is now making me wonder if it’s too early

Timetotryagain · 22/07/2025 09:10

@lemons44 with my now toddler we saw a heartbeat at 6+3 :D

lemons44 · 22/07/2025 09:15

Thanks @Timetotryagainthat makes me feel better. I suppose the clinic wouldn’t book it that early if they didn’t think it was possible to see a heartbeat. I am with CRGH, is anybody else with them? I am still on quite a few IVF meds too.. eostrogen, progesterone, blood thinners and steroids. Not sure when these will be stopped.

confused2025 · 22/07/2025 09:17

@lemons44my Eostrogen stopped week 8 and I’m on progesterone until week 12. This can depend on clinic and do chat to them about it during scan. Try to stay on progesterone for the 12 weeks if you can x

Timetotryagain · 22/07/2025 09:33

@lemons44 i did a natural FET so i am on just progesterone until 12 weeks i think (was on till 16 weeks with previous pregnancy)

lemonwrighty · 22/07/2025 13:10

@lemons44 I’m on progesterone until 10 weeks which is only until Friday. I have just requested a further 8 weeks, waiting for the clinician to review my request.

lemons44 · 22/07/2025 14:57

Sorry for TMI but is anyone else getting lower back pain, feels like period cramps in the lower back and only comes on when bowels are full?
