IVF babies due 2026?

Hi - I couldn’t find a thread but just wondered if anyone else was expecting in 2026 post ivf? I’m due end of Feb so just wanting any similar ladies to chat with!

Scan went well, was so scary and I'm so relieved it's over! Everything looking good and the combined test came back low risk which is a huge relief after everything that happened before. Feel very emotionally drained, but happy!

It’ll be an internal scan so empty bladder is best - good luck, hearing the heartbeat is amazing!

@Orangewillow when will NIPT results come back and will they tell you the gender if its nhs test?

I take back what i said about nausea going haha. Just spent the morning heaving over the sink

Whenever i tell anyone about ivf they say "omg so could have twins then!" Or "so do you already know the gender"

Haha. I think in the US its common to know the gender of the baby before transferring but its illegal here in UK ismt it and i think the ivf = twins mentality is still strong in a lot of people

@Timetotryagain I didn't end up doing the NIPT, they said if the combined test came back high/intermediate then they would but otherwise not, and then it was low risk so they said they didnt recommend it. I was inclined to argue, as I have a letter from the head of that department saying I should be offered a NIPT, but given the combined result (also its a screened embryo), I didn't bother - I'm also sick of blood tests!

@Orangewillow definitely best to avoid more blood tests haha! Mine in a screened embryo too :)

Thanks all. We saw the heartbeat on the scan and they said there’s a yolk sack. So can try and relax for now. My clinic want to see me again in 2 weeks to check how it progresses.

Hi all 8 weeks today ivf baby and thought I’d join this thread and My nausea comes and goes didn’t feel as sickly this morning but then it can come on anytime during the day just feeling sick not actually being sick anyone else like this? Also had the WORST indigestion yesterday and hoping this is not the start was soooo uncomfortable and thought it’s pretty early to get this so hoping it’s a 1 off 🤣🙏🏻

Scan in 4 days, I am PETRIFIED! 6+4 today

@Hopeloveandkindness this has been my experience over the last few weeks. I’ve only gotten sick when there’s been a really strong smell that I can’t handle.
@PlanBFertility it is a scary time but positive thoughts for you. How are you feeling apart from being nervous about the scan?

@Hopeloveandkindness similar to me, i havent actually thrown up yet (nearly have a few times) but its just nausea/ occasional retching for me (7 weeks)

@confused2025 its good none of us seen to have intense throwing up etc!

Welcome @Hopeloveandkindnessim a bit behind you (7weeks tomorrow). I’ve only really just started to get nausea and it’s very mild. I am finding though that I’m feeling more fussy about food. One minute I really fancy a specific food and the next I can’t stand the thought of it. It’s impossible to do a weeks food shop because my tastes keep changing so quickly that by the end of the week I no longer want what I have bought 🙈

Hi ladies, after a few weeks watching this thread but terrified to comment in case I jinxed my pregnancy, I had my viability scan today (7+5) and there was a very strong heartbeat and a wee baby growing well.

@KayEmmSquared congratulations! Glad the first scan went well! Have you contacted your gp/midwifes yet?

@confused2025 thank you! I am glad i stopped doing the clear blue digitals when you said as i would have driven myself crazy!

@KayEmmSquaredcongratulations ☺️ The first few weeks are so terrifying but the relief after that viability scan is the best and it almost starts to feel real x
@Timetotryagain it’s crazy to think how expensive those tests are as well and how much money I burnt by buying them. Lessons definitely learnt. I have my 12 week scan on Friday (I’ll be 12 weeks 5 days) and just got my bloods and urine tests results back - everything seems ok but my white cell count is slightly up. I just wish we could fast forward to February.

Well baby absolutely frightened us. Went to use the toilet this morning to find bleeding (sorry TMI but brown blood) still panicked and contacted my EPU and they booked me in for a scan a few hours later, baby absolutely fine having a right party in my belly kicking and waving as us. I’m measuring ahead at 11w6d now (thought I was 11w 3 days) I’ve had 3 different EDD so far. I have my 12 week scan next week so fingers crossed for a more accurate DD and baby is all good still partying away in my belly.

@lemonwrightyso glad your EPU were helpful and could bring you in. That must have been so scary.delighted everything is ok for you and baby x
