Hello! Yes hopefully I will be having a FET in July (natural modified) after a sad missed miscarriage at 12 weeks in early May (also FET). My cycle seems to have already regulated so next period should be due late June🤞

waitingforourmiracle · 09/06/2025 10:25

@bluecoral I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage 💕
I started norethisterone this morning for a week so hopefully should have a bleed some point next week then I'll start on my patches! How does natural modified work? Is that using medication x

Thank you. So I just go off of my natural cycle, have a scan around CD12 to check lining and follicle and then track ovulation at home. Then start the cyclogest and clexane ahead of transfer 5 days after LH surge. Its a bit stressful as last time I wasn't anywhere near ready at day 12 and had to go for extra scans and wasn't sure if I was going to make it. I did ask about doing fully medicated this time but as the actual implantation bit worked last time we've decided to stick with it for another round. I'm lucky my clinic is open 7 days. How are you finding the norethistrone? I had it before my egg collection and it was OK but side effects weren't the best.

waitingforourmiracle · 09/06/2025 13:44

Ah I see that makes sense! I have everything crossed for you! Is this your first round? So far it's fine but I've only taken one tablet so there is time haha, I usually get a headache from any sort of medication so preparing myself for that! I'm on cycle 2, my first round I had only 1 embryo which I had a frozen transfer for but sadly ended in miscarriage last year so I'm more than ready for this transfer now!

OP posts:
bluecoral · 09/06/2025 14:02

Yes I had my first (and only - can't afford to do it again) round in January and lucky to have 4 blasts frozen but I had OHSS so had to freeze all. I'm so sorry about your miscarriage, it's utterly heartbreaking and even more painful after everything you go through with IVF. I wish us both the best of luck, do you have a date for transfer already or do they plan that depending on how you do with the estrogen?

@bluecoral the costs are an absolute joke, did you not get an NHS funded? (presuming your from the UK?) we've got incredibly lucky this time and ended up with 10 frosties, it's been over 2 months and I still can't believe it! Not yet, I've worked it out to be around the 13th July but that's a complete guess, depends when AF turns up after I stop norethisterone.

@worldwidetravel2017 that's good to hear, I'm good thank you. That will come round so soon, are you doing a medicated cycle?

So many emotions

They are looking @ my lining next week

Im on estrogen patches

Maybe theyll be happy with it next week - maybe they wont - who knows

I know some people who were given estrogen patches - then have estrogen tablets added in

On the egg coll cycle they liked my lining

Heres hoping my body behaves

waitingforourmiracle · 11/06/2025 14:31

I'm also going to be using patches this time, my first round I used tablets so hopefully everything works the same!

Dya mind me asking why they gave patches ?
I think i have patches due to my ibs & some absorption issues

waitingforourmiracle · 11/06/2025 15:03

I think it's just what this clinic uses, I was with a different clinic for my first round :)

A nurse at my clinic said to me the other day ' - " most people have the tablets '
It made me nervous
Meh

bluecoral · 19/06/2025 15:14

@waitingforourmiraclethat is amazing you got 10! We were fortunate to get NHS funding in 2021 and had an absolute miracle as our first IUI was successful and my DC is now 3 so this is our attempt for a second baby. We had a failed IUI in November before going for IVF in January. My cycle has officially started today so just waiting to hear from my clinic about dates for my pre surge scan and then it’s just a waiting game. How are you doing?

waitingforourmiracle · 19/06/2025 15:49

@bluecoral oooh best of luck!! I'm still waiting for AF, I finished my norethisterone tablets on Sunday evening so just a waiting game now, I'm on day 4 so hopefully not too much longer, I'm just ready for it now! X

bluecoral · 26/06/2025 17:00

@waitingforourmiracleso pleased your cycle has started and you've got your scan and provisional dates. How are you feeling? I've got my scan on the 2nd which will be CD14 so if all runs to plan I expect to be transferring around the 9th or 10th. Feeling pretty nervous about it all now. @worldwidetravel2017my clinic don't check progesterone for a natural cycle but I am going to be prescribed cyclogest to take for 12 weeks due to previous MMC.

waitingforourmiracle · 27/06/2025 13:36

@worldwidetravel2017 I think they only do a blood test the day before transfer so unsure at the moment!

@bluecoral I'm okay to be honest, I think this time I know what to expect. I think I'm a little numb to it all this time. Here for support xx
