Hey!!
Due to have my FET in July following my egg collection in April, I'm due to start norethisterone on Monday then patches so estimating my transfer to be mid-July!
Anyone else? 💛

@bluecoral Yes am now testing for ovulation to see if it gears up again (and if so to TTC the old-fashioned way, not that I have any hope in that dept these days!). But no sign yet. They haven’t said anything about inducing it with meds. I fear if I do this then my next bleed will be treated as a ‘withdrawal bleed’ and I will have to wait a whole other month before starting my FET cycle on the first day of my ‘natural period’. Is this the case at your clinic?

waitingforourmiracle · 03/07/2025 10:13

Hey @magpie234 Sorry to hear about your cancelled cycle! Oh gosh the unknown is so frustrating! I feel this is the part of IVF people don't understand or think of!

@bluecoral Yes they'll check lining, I'm provisionally booked in for transfer on the 11th but I think tomorrow they should hopefully be able to confirm a certain date!

@waitingforourmiracle best of luck for your scan today🤞. I'm getting more nervous and less excited as Sunday gets closer, got to wait to hear from the lab tomorrow about which blast they will thaw and hopefully it survives and will get told the timing for Sunday. Hoping its not too late in the day!
@worldwidetravel2017 how are you feeling?

bluecoral · 04/07/2025 08:09

@magpie234 sorry I missed your question, no in my case the norethistrone bleed was counted as a period and day 1. I think I was put on it to try and time dates as my cycle still could have been erratic after miscarriage. I may not have needed it but it did give me some control which was good

Just been for my scan and my lining isn’t quite where it should be, measuring 5.5 so I’m going to go for another scan next week, I think they’re going to add another patch so hopefully it thickens up! She did say if it’s not then they’ll leave this cycle and try again next cycle, abit gutting but I’ll do whatever is best!

amazing news @worldwidetravel2017 congratulations, everything crossed for a healthy pregnancy 🤍

@bluecoral aw i understand the nerves, your very strong to get to this point, hopefully it’ll all be worth it xxx

For the lining - eat iron rich foods - lotsa eggs , dried apricots; wheatabix etc

bluecoral · 04/07/2025 21:15

@worldwidetravel2017 congratulations, wishing you all the best for a healthy pregnancy.

@waitingforourmiracle sorry scan was not quite where you needed to be. Hopefully the increased patch will help. I've also heard anecdotal things about beetroot and pomegranate juice

babycoconut · 05/07/2025 21:06

Hi ladies, I hope it’s ok to join. I just had a FET today with my last remaining embryo - a PGTA tested 5BA. I have a little boy already from the same cycle, he will be two this month and was a day 3 transfer 🤞🏼❤️

Thank you , im a bit cautious / weary as its super early

bluecoral · 06/07/2025 15:23

@babycoconut welcome, how are you feeling after your transfer? I've just had mine this afternoon so feeling very emotional being back in that room again but trying to stay hopeful.
@worldwidetravel2017 totally understandable, do your clinic do a scan at 7/8 weeks?

waitingforourmiracle · 07/07/2025 10:25

Thanks for the advice guys, I've been away in Wales with family this weekend so it's been nice to take my mind off things, I've added another patch and I'm back in for a scan on Friday and transfer has been pushed back to the 18th so fingers crossed it's thickened up!

Good luck @babycoconut how are you feeling?

Yep .. will find out more re that soon

I may book a private scan for 6.5 wks

FancyGoose · 07/07/2025 11:46

Joining here, thanks for suggesting on the other thread @waitingforourmiracle. Haven't read the full thread but hope everyone is doing okay. I am scheduled for transfer on Thursday - have a blood test tomorrow to check progesterone and estrogen is where it should be but no more scans as they were happy with my lining last week. I'm super anxious and feel quite defeated already but trying to remind myself this is a different embryo and a different protocol 😊

magpie234 · 07/07/2025 12:53

@FancyGoose Good luck! Good sign they test your progesterone and estrogen levels before transfer. Mine only do progesterone if that… makes me feel there is less commitment at my clinic to making sure conditions are optimal each time…

waitingforourmiracle · 07/07/2025 13:56

Welcome @FancyGoose wishing you all the luck in the world! Are you doing a medicated FET?

@magpie234 do you have a lining scan prior? I only have progesterone bloods done the day before transfer!

@waitingforourmiracle hope you had a good weekend, distraction is key at the moment!

I’m an emotional wreck to be honest. I feel like I’ve been on such a journey with this embryo already. There was only ever my son & this other one so I have always felt like I have two babies - irrational, I know as it may or may not result in a baby. But I felt a lot of guilt about how my son was chosen and this one frozen, etc. When I first approached the clinic earlier this year to find out the process for having a FET, it came to light that they hadn’t actually witnessed fertilisation of this embryo, so it may have been abnormal/non-viable and their advice was to discard it and do a new cycle. This wasn’t flagged to me at the time, whatsoever, so came as a total shock. After a lot of backwards & forwards, and months of waiting, defrosting and refreezing and the anxiety that comes with that, the clinic paid for the PGTA testing and the embryo was confirmed as euploid. I’m in Scotland and the clinic is in Leeds so I felt deeply unsettled by the fact this embryo was so far away from me, too. When the transfer was completed, and they’d checked the catheter to confirm it has definitely been transferred, I burst into tears! So now just having terrible negative thoughts about the fact that it could be the end of the road for the embryo soon.

@bluecoral how are you feeling after your transfer?

waitingforourmiracle · 07/07/2025 14:01

@babycoconut oh gosh that sounds like things have been awful, not great on the clinics behalf! Especially not saying anything for so long and they at first advised to discard! Good for you for pushing on and not letting that happen. To me, it feels like this embryo is still here for a reason so I have everything crossed for you!! X

@waitingforourmiracle I hope so - I go from being really positive to absolutely catastrophising, which is sooo normal, but not easy. Such a rollercoaster! 🥹

bluecoral · 07/07/2025 19:15

@babycoconut that sounds like such a journey you've been on, so pleased to hear you questioned the clinic decision and got it tested. I really hope that it is positive for you.
I'm doing okay thanks, analysing every twinge and worrying but I keep telling myself I just need to get through the week! I remember it being the longest wait ever last time but it doesn't make it any easier 😔

magpie234 · 07/07/2025 21:53

Best of luck to everyone who has had their transfers this week. I am feeling like a fraud on the July board now as god only knows when my period is going to arrive so I can start my nat/nat med cycle. I have been testing for ovulation and getting the most negative of negatives despite stopping my estrogen pills 10 days ago. So annoying as I have always had pretty regular cycles and now feel like the one bit of control I had has also been taken from me. Feeling very frustrated just waiting and not able to progress things. Last transfer was 3 months ago which feels like forever ago now.

waitingforourmiracle · 08/07/2025 09:43

@bluecoral when is your test date? Are you going to wait until then or test early? I was an early tester last time and think I will be this time too!

@magpie234 oh the dreaded wait for a bleed, I know it too well!! Hopefully it's not too much longer!

OP posts:
FancyGoose · 08/07/2025 13:51

Thanks @magpie234 - I am glad they're testing as my previous 2 clinics never did so it just feels like it's guess work. They did loads of blood tests through the stims too and would often change my medication or dose based on the results so it does feel more tailored.

Sorry your period isn't playing ball - mine was inexplicably 3 weeks late this cycle and the wait was so frustrating! It's so annoying not having any control as you say. I hope it arrives soon and you can crack on.
