Anybody else starting or in middle of treatment?

Bit about my experience so far..
My last treatment was in december and had to come to a stop after finding a polyp during the scan. Have since removed the polylp and given the green light to go again. currently on estrodiol and due for a lining thickness scan next week. If all goes to plan I think the frozen transfer will be during 1st wk of april (Fingers X’ed!)

Thanks for starting this thread @Eggsellenté sorry you had to stop your last treatment I can imagine that would have been disappointing.

I had my fresh cycle in January but had to do a freeze all due to risk of OHSS so I’m happy to get started again. I started progynova on Monday and also have my lining scan next week (Friday) so also hoping for a transfer in 1st week of April (fingers crossed). I’m hoping this is a lucky thread for us all x

I was very similar to @ForeverHopeful17 so I had a freeze all in Jan due to OHSS. I am picking up my meds and confirming dates today! Feel like it’s been a long time waiting.

Hi, Im similar to you @ForeverHopeful17 and @Kr0. My first round in Jan ended in freeze all due to OHSS... I have my 1st FET booked for Monday 🤞🤞🤞 fingers crossed for everyone x

Hi all! Jumping on this even though I’m due to have my first FET on Monday (close enough to April)! I was meant to have a fresh cycle in the summer but I became very unwell and was hospitalised thanks to complications with EC but we got one little embryo that they froze for us!

I’m doing a natural FET cycle which is a nice change after spending last year doing rounds of IVF. It does feel surreal like it isn’t happening as I haven’t taken any medication yet. Will start the lovely (!) progesterone pessaries at the weekend though so I’m sure that will change quickly.

@Eggsellenté hope the estridiol is going well and that lining is growing nicely ready for your scan!

@ForeverHopeful17and @Kr0I hope you were both ok with the OHSS and great that you are ready now!

Feeling like I’m just willing the time to go quickly! But then once transfer is done we will just have more waiting 😬🤣 🤞

@TTCK8So true! This is just practice for the two week wait afterwards! 😵‍💫 How has it gone for you so far? Are you on a medicated or non-medicated transfer?

@wishfulbean Yes everything has been going well as far as I know (🤞) it’s just a bit of a minefield isn’t it? Especially this first time round. I was disappointed initially that I had to have a freeze all - but soon moved on from this as I was in a bad way after egg retrieval. But we have 3 little embryos in the freezer so was happy with that outcome. How have things been for you?

I am medicated so taking oral medication and started progesterone pessaries last night! Will you be having progesterone? I’m not overly familiar with unmedicated cycles.

Trying to stay positive but I think I’m just feeling very neutral as like a protective mechanism haha - as it feels too good to be true after some losses. I’m sure everyone on an ivf journey can relate in some way x

can I join you guys please.
I just did a fet two weeks ago but unfortunately my period arrived for I got to the official test date. Going to try again for a fet next month so hoping to have a transfer at the end of April, a bit later than all of you guys.
it will also be an unmediated cycle with me just having to take the trigger shot and then progesterone pessaries. Sticking with this protocol as it was luckily enough to work for us previously and I have a little boy who I am now trying to give a sibling!

@Foreverhoping33so sorry to hear your last transfer failed, I hope your next transfer is successful. I’m also trying for a sibling and doing the exact same protocol that gave me my little girl x

@ForeverHopeful17 oh I got my lining scan next friday too! How much estrodiol are you on? I am on 4 x 2mg a day. Sorry hear abt the OHSS experience, but glad to hear all is well now! I understand the frustration of waiting!

i start my northisterone (no idea how to spell that) on Thursday.

I’ve got a dosage of estradiol that increases as you go through. Sounds more complicated than I thought

@TTCK8Things have been ok so far thank you - it all seems to have gone so quickly this time as without medication I just had to do ovulation sticks and then ring the clinic when I’m ovulating. It all happened quite quickly after the planning appointment just by coincidence with my cycles. Only medication I have to take is the progesterone pessaries which I start tomorrow. To be honest they were the worst medication in my other cycles they are so annoying 😂.

Totally understand the feeling neutral. I’m usually the same but I’m feeling weird more positive as I know this time at least there is a 97% chance of having something implanted (unless defrosting goes wrong). When I’ve done other rounds I’d be dreading the days until transfer waiting for a phone call to say none of my limited number of eggs made it. I’ll be back to being either neutral or a mess by transfer though 😆

@Foreverhoping33 sorry your previous FET didn’t stick. I hope this cycle is going well for you so far. I’m curious what’s the trigger shot you have to take?

@Kr0That does sound like a complicated medication schedule! When I was doing medications for my last round I used to feel like I was a Nobel prize winning chemist mixing the various solutions together. Honestly think we should be awarded some sort of qualification for dealing with administering our own medications 😆

@Eggsellentéoh really!? We may end up being transfer buddies. I’m on 3 x 2mg a day and it’s giving me such awful headaches 😖

My little embryo transferred nicely (although had difficulties getting things set up as my cervix likes to hide 😆). Now on to the two week wait! I have taken two days off work to relax and enjoy being PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise) as I regretted not taking time to enjoy this stage when I had a failed fresh transfer last year. Even if this doesn’t stick I’m going to enjoy the stages I am able to get to!

@wishfulbean ah I’m glad to hear it went well! Mine all went smoothly too! I have also booked two days off work, so have a couple of days to relax which is nice! Don’t know how I’m going to survive 2 weeks - my clinic gave me the test date of 05/04, seems so far!!

@wishfulbean @TTCK8 ahhh you have had your transfers how exciting!! Lovely you have the two weeks off too and definitely lean in to being PUPO as much as possible!!

@wishfulbean my clinic gives me a trigger which is called ovrinette it basically makes you ovulate I think. They monitor my cycle too with scans but think it’s to be 100% sure they line everything up with the right timing.

i hve my baseline scan booked for 2nd April then will wait for next period and get started. Still feels like a while away for me…..

Hey everyone hope it’s okay joining this thread. I had a previous fresh transfer before Christmas that failed and now onto our FET. I have just started the sprays and provisional transfer date is towards the end of April.
I have been doing acupuncture for about 8 weeks now and I love it but was wondering if anyone else has done it especially around transfer date? My acupuncturist said to come the day before transfer and day of transfer but I’m really nervous. Also any advice on continuing acupuncture during the TTW?

Hey everyone can I join! I’m currently sitting in the waiting room of my clinic waiting for my baseline scan so I’ll hopefully be doing my FET in April. This will be my 4th transfer. I’ve had 2 fresh and 1 FET before this. My last FET I did get a BFP but ended in miscarriage at 7 weeks. This is our last frozen embryo abdc the quality is average. Not tested though. We shall see what happens I guess!

@wishfulbean how are you feeling? I’m finding it so hard not to test it’s torture hahah!! I’ve had some mild cramping the last 3 days which obviously could be from meds or the procedure - but outside of that nothing! I’m driving myself mad!

@TTCK8 I am the same!! Cramping and nauseated from the progesterone and staring at my phone calendar willing it to be the 6th! The clinic portal actually says my test day is the 7th but they definitely said 6th in person so I’m going with that as it’s already longer than I’ve waited previously. This wait is sooo hard!
