Anybody else starting or in middle of treatment?

Bit about my experience so far..
My last treatment was in december and had to come to a stop after finding a polyp during the scan. Have since removed the polylp and given the green light to go again. currently on estrodiol and due for a lining thickness scan next week. If all goes to plan I think the frozen transfer will be during 1st wk of april (Fingers X’ed!)

Sending you all positive and sticky vibes!

Memorare · 16/04/2025 03:09

Hey. Just jumping on - congratulations to all getting their BFP sending so much love ⭐️
just had our FET yesterday with a 4aa 5day blastocyst. Finding the wait absolutely horrific and can’t sleep due to anxiety which I know is not good for me right now. How have you all managed the TWW so well? What is the earliest you tested? I’ve been told my otd is 28th but I don’t think I can wait that long! Was maybe looking to test on day 8 (23rd) xxxx

TTCK8 · 16/04/2025 07:36

Sorry to hear about the cancelled cycles! I can’t imagine how upsetting and frustrating that must be! Hope yous are doing ok ❤️

@Memorare I also had a hard time sleeping after transfer, but did take a couple of days off work to relax! Then I think working actually helped as it passes the time. But it is just so difficult and it was constantly on my mind. I just mainly kept to my usual routine. I tested at 7dpt5dt and got my positive, I think for me I wanted to test early to save the anxiety and hope building up if that makes sense.. obviously everyone is different! Hope the time passes quick for you 🤞✨

Memorare · 16/04/2025 09:18

@TTCK8 thats funny you should say you tested at 7dp5dt as that’s what me and my partner have just agreed on this morning.
my clinic did say they would only advise day 13 but I physically won’t be able to hold out that long.
was the line strong enough or faint?
Am I right in thinking the day after classes as day 1 and not the day of transfer?
xxx

TTCK8 · 16/04/2025 11:23

@Memorare ah well hopefully you’ll be able to hold out til then!!🤞 the test was pretty clear, not very strong but a definite positive. I posted it on here if you scroll back up, that was from day 7. I’m not 100% sure on that but I think the day after is day 1.

Sara237 · 16/04/2025 22:13

Hi all, may I pick your brains? I'm on day 5 of progynova but on my proforma, I don't take the progesterone jabs until after the day 10 scan and progesterone blood test. Is this normal? I thought I'd take progesterone before the blood test to see if it'd gone up? All very confusing and I'm shattered already!

Memorare · 17/04/2025 07:50

Hi @Sara237
im not too clued up at all on all different meds but will give you a insight into mine and when I had my blood test etc.
• Started ganirelix day 1 of period for 7 days
• started Oestradiol 18mgs daily day 1 of period for 7 days then upped to 24mgs on day 8
• Scan day 12
• started 3X 400mg cyclogest daily (progesterone pessaries) day 13
• blood test day 16
-my blood test came back with low progesterone (just under what they wanted)
•Embryo transfer day 18
•started prontogest 100mg injection night of embryo transfer and will take every 3 days

Currently praying and hoping for 2 lines on our test when it comes to it 🌟

hope this somehow answered your question - I find it all quite confusing!!! Xx

TheseCalmSeas · 17/04/2025 19:00

Hope you don’t mind me joining this thread. I had my fifth transfer today. First was fresh and ended as MMC & the rest never really took.

Today’s transfer went really well. They asked if I would be able to cope because my bladder was so full 🤣😬 The great news is our last frozen embryo upgraded from a B to an A. The embryologist was super confident and that’s washed off on me - I went in almost shrugging… we’ve been on this road for such a long time.

Progestrone has wiped me out. I’m so tired but wake up super early to pee and my dreams are so vivid & insane 😵‍💫

Memorare · 17/04/2025 20:59

@TheseCalmSeas we’re just 2 days apart - this is my first FET had to do a freeze all due to a polyp - that was back in November! It’s felt like a long wait!

so sorry to hear about your other transfers not being successful I bet you it’s been one hell of a rollercoaster to say the least!

I have found the Progesterone awful too, I’m up and down - sat crying for about an hour today and I don’t know why. I feel like it’s putting pressure on me and my partner too!

are you on the pessaries? Xx

Sara237 · 17/04/2025 22:43

@Memorare thanks for the reply, that's helpful. There's so many different approaches but it sounds as though progesterone is usually after the first scan/test. Dreading the progesterone as I'll have 14 days of injecting it then pessaries for ten weeks...
@TheseCalmSeas I'm sorry to hear how hard it's been with 5 transfers. Great news about your blast going to A; everything crossed for you.

Oh my! Same! We did a freeze all back in May then had a transfer that didn’t take so they investigated and found a polyp that vanished by itself.

Awake again at 6am 😴 I’m on Lubion x1 a day and 2x pessaries. I don’t remember them causing this many side effects though. Another mad dream last night that was so vivid I have a song stuck in my head from it! I had some sharp and uncomfortable cramping on my left side last night. Currently feeling optimistic!

How are you feeling? Will you test early?

Memorare · 18/04/2025 11:05

@TheseCalmSeas
ahh yes I was the same, waited almost 3 months for my appointment to have it removed and it had already gone 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m on 3 pessaries a day and prontogest injection once every 3 days.

I said exactly the same to my partner this morning I had the most vivid dream!

trying to stay positive but the time drags doesn’t it, I’m contemplating testing Sunday which would be day 5, I know this is super early though!! Originally I said I’d start testing from day 7 but I’m finding it hard.

what about you? Will you test early? Xx

TheseCalmSeas · 18/04/2025 18:28

@Memorare I’m an early tester too so probably day 5 or 6. When I’ve been pregnant before I’ve always known before testing really due to a chronic illness that gets rapidly better even in the every early days.

Are you totally exhausted too? I could go to bed already. Spent the day keeping occupied and eating so many pomegranate seeds I’ve had to remortgage

Memorare · 19/04/2025 08:22

@TheseCalmSeas
Oh god yeah, exhausted. Walked the dogs and felt like I’d done a marathon!

how you feeling? When is your OTD again?

Also, I caved this morning and done a test BFN!!!!
STUPID idea as it works out I’m just 3.5dpt going from the time my transfer was on Tuesday (late afternoon) not too disheartened though and trying to stay positive. Will probably test daily now 🤦🏽‍♀️

xx

TheCandidPug · 19/04/2025 09:07

@Memorare Hi! My FET was on Wednesday! Super close to yours!! Good luck! They almost didn’t go ahead with the transfer because of a polop. The nurses were unsure and got the gyne consultant to check it out and who ended up doing the transfer! I hope it sticks! They said I needed to get it removed before I have another transfer, which could take god knows how long on the NHS!! I am going to be good and try not to test early! But not sure if I have thy at much self control! Good luck

Memorare · 19/04/2025 09:20

Hey @TheCandidPug

seems to be quite a common issue for some, a polyp popping up last minute?!?

how come they went ahead and did it anyway? It must not of been too large was it?

what test date have the clinic gave you? Mine is 28th of this month but I stupidly tested this morning - kinda knew it would of been negative but I caved 😂

I have had quite a few little twinges and pills nothing major, except I sneezed in bed and the pain for about 8 seconds was pretty bad! Also got a very itchy tummy and back but I think this may be the progesterone xxx

good luck!!! i hope it all goes smooth sailing for you ♥️

TheCandidPug · 19/04/2025 09:36

@Memorare yeah I think it was small enough, but because the consultant was checking it he did the transfer just to be on the safe side. Not that the midwife couldn’t do it, but i was quietly glad that it was done by a consultant. What grade was your embryo? Mine was a 5AA, which survived well through the thawing process. My father jokes that he’s been to the arctic and back and will stick because he’s still wearing his cramp ons and armed with his ice axe (my dad’s a mountaineer, hence the reference). I’m gonna try my best and test until next week! Please let us know how you get on 🙏

Memorare · 19/04/2025 10:02

@TheCandidPug
Love your dad’s reference 😂 nice and positive, just what you need!!!

Ours was a 4AA and also survived the thawing process well.

We done ICSI due to male factor. And have 5 frozen embryos left in storage. Hoping and praying we won’t need them unless it’s to try for a second in the future. 🤞

We haven’t told anyone about the whole IVF process and hoping that we can just surprise people with a lovely pregnancy …. So it’s been quite hard only having each other to talk with, this forum has been a little lifeline for me xx

TheCandidPug · 19/04/2025 11:56

@Memorare thats nice! My other half is in the military so he’s away a lot! He was also away during the FET. My parents came with me, which was really nice! They have been told thy at this might not work, but my dad was so happy when I told him! It will be his first grand child. We have MFI too. And everything has gone well, too well 🙄.. I’ve been told to test on Sunday. The clinic won’t do a beta if it is a BFN… so all fingers crossed for eveyone on this feed

Memorare · 20/04/2025 08:03

@TheCandidPug
Just tested this morning so I’m 5dp5dt and I’m pretty sure I just got my BFP!!!!!!!

FETs April 2025 ✨
TheCandidPug · 20/04/2025 08:48

@Memorare congratulations!! I’m stoked for you! I wasn’t going to test tomorrow cause I didn’t want to see a -ve, but maybe I will!! Such good news ❤️❤️❤️

Sara237 · 20/04/2025 12:30

@Memorare that's a lovely looking line! Thrilled for you. What an Easter treat.

FrostedFlake · 20/04/2025 15:07

Congratulations to everyone getting their BFPs!!!
I hope you don’t mind me joining. Technically I’m not sure if our FET will be this month or at the start of next month. I just got my bleed today after a misscariage at 9 weeks from our fresh cycle. This is my first time doing FET however we’ve done three IVF cycles so not too sure what to expect.
I know quite a lot of people have already done a FET this month but is there anyone with similar timings to me? Would love a buddy ☺️

Sara237 · 20/04/2025 19:10

@FrostedFlake I'm sorry to hear of your earlier miscarriage. Everything crossed for your FET. It's such a rollercoaster. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but once you pass every stage, you just do, don't you? I have lining scan tomorrow and then potentially transfer next Sunday. So we're fairly close on timings! Just hoping no issues tomorrow as it's all a bit stressful given transfer is in Portugal not UK...
