Thought I'd start a thread for anyone starting IVF/ICSI in April! This is going to be round 2 for me, I'm currently waiting for my period to start so I can book my pre-treatment appointment and typical, I'm a week late with no signs of AF! Joys of PCOS and irregular cycles!

@Twofromanotherkind@MrsMc14 thank you. Yess I called my friend who was going through ivf when I was a few years ago and she said the same. It only takes one. I’m just worried I won’t even get that

@lovelivelaugh64yes that it strange about not seeing you. I thought it was strange that they didn’t see me until day 7 of stims. I guess they will give you an egg collection date then at that scan. No my AMH is 28.5 but I feel I’m on a very lose dose of gonal f 112.5. Plus with it being the first time I’ve used that medication I guess I just don’t agree with it. Yeah it’s 6 if some more catch up but it’s 3 at the moment. Have another scan tomorrow so we will see. Oh yeah I can imagine. Hopefully you get more! Are you on a high dose of gonal F?

They are seeing me on day 7 of stims tomorrow but normally they do first scan day 8-10 at my clinic. Only seeing me sooner as it’s a Friday I think and then 2nd scan is Monday. Hope my follicles are actually growing. Anyone else start getting nervous before their first scan? Paranoid that nothing will be happening!!

I expressed concerns b4 i started as i have ibs and a whole host of issues

They reassured me that everyones body will - absorb ' the med basically

Obv when they monitor they sometimes increase or decrease dose

I have ibs too and have had a flare up since starting these meds. Hoping I don’t have to be on them too much longer, side effects are much worse than I thought they would be

Yea - i hear you - my ibs is different / worse since some bruserlin jabs

@Alexm06i am on a dose of 300 Gonal - F at the moment and have a low amh so not sure what the outcome will be. Is 300 a good dose to be on? Should I be on a higher dosage due to my low amh?

@lovelivelaugh64i think that the most you can be on at the start so I think you are all good. I’m not 100% so don’t hold me to it haha.

@waitingforourmiracleyeah I know I have a whole pen of gonal f and only have 2 more days left to use it so I really don’t understand. It’s just going to waste. I have another scan tomorrow so will hopefully see more but I doubt it

I’m on 300 of Ovaleap so think it’s a good dose. I was watching a podcast yesterday and there’s evidence that doses above 300 don’t give any better results

Hello hope it's okay for me to join in here! I had my egg collection mid Feb - struggled with OHSS and had a tough couple of days but got some great embryos in the freezer which we were absolutely thrilled about. I have quite long cycles and with having to have a bleed after egg collection and then waiting for the following bleed - we are only just gearing up for our FET (short protocol). AF started yesterday so I started taking my oestrogen tablets, scan booked for week after next with transfer scheduled for 22nd. Obviously that could move if they need to change anything after scan but so excited to finally be doing our FET! Wishing all of you ladies all the luck X

EC wasn’t as great as I was hoping today but we got 6 collected. I had my scan on day 9 and they counted 14 fols so was hoping for higher number today. But we only need one 🙏🏻 keeping everything crossed that most make it. I was sedated so didn’t feel a thing. We’re trying icsci today as ivf wasnt successful the last time and paying extra to give pisci a try 🙏🏻🙏🏻
1st cycle last October we got 11. We still have one embryo frozen but clinic wanted me to do another cycle due to my age as I’m 38. We have no children and never been pregnant.

@lovelivelaugh64 If I remember what I googled a year ago when i did gonalF, 300 is already a pretty high dose, so you shouldn't worry. I think I was on 175 and my AMH is borderline low and I responded well.

This time I'm on something called Rekovelle (have been on gonalF and Ovaleap on previous tries) 14 micrograms. Second day of injections and I'm soo tired. I don't remember if I was quite this tired past times 🤔. Scan on day 8 of injections. Other than tired, I'm just meh. I'm too far into this to get excited anymore 😏

I found the first 4 days of injections very fatiguing but that has settled now and just have other symptoms.

Had my first scan and bloods done today. Wasn't the exact news I wanted. Now waiting to hear back from my clinic on what we are doing next. I have 1 leading follicle and the others are smaller and now the worry is ovulating that follicle too early. Aahhhh the stress of it all.

Thought I'd update. I got a call this arvo from my clinic and my bloods came back good and we have time for the others to catch up. We are going to continue along with the plan as normal and I go back Monday morning for hopefully one last scan and bloods and we can book in for egg retrieval for the Wednesday. I panicked for a bit on the way home, I must admit but did keep my cool. How is everyone else going?

Had my first scan today I’m so relieved the follicles are growing! Got my next scan Monday and really hoping we can go ahead with egg collection on Wednesday

A little update after our EC yesterday.
We’ve had a call this morning confirming we have 5 fertilised eggs out of the 6. I feel a little relieved now. Keeping everything crossed they make it to blastocyst.
