Thought I'd start a thread for anyone starting IVF/ICSI in April! This is going to be round 2 for me, I'm currently waiting for my period to start so I can book my pre-treatment appointment and typical, I'm a week late with no signs of AF! Joys of PCOS and irregular cycles!

Be nice to have some company! 💛

@worldwidetravel2017 I didn’t have to keep mine in the fridge. Must be because different medication? We gad to keep away from radiators and windows.

why did they have there’s cancelled? Was it postponed or completely cancelled?

Im on long protocol and down regulation etc too

Maybe diff meds hence some of mine in fridge.

Theres was cancelled due to a cyst found apparently

@Miraclemuma03 I've had that same headache every day since day 1, some days worse than others! Hope it's calmed down now

Sorry I've been MIA all weekend, been visiting family! I did my trigger injection last night at 10.30 and egg collection is tomorrow morning, still feeling pretty relaxed about it! I'm sure the nerves will kick in once I've finished work today. I hate the unknown and not knowing the outcome, that's the hardest part for me!

Hope everyone is doing okay and all injections haven't been too bad for anyone.

Also sending lots of love for yesterday, I know mothers day isn't the easiest but we all survived it and hopefully next year we are all celebrating being mothers or mothers to be 💛

I promise that headache does eventually go away but my bad is it awful.
I had it for 10 days last 2cycles and 3 days this time. Gone now though.

I have my tracking scan Friday to get egg collection date for next week.
Im so happy but pensive. After so many failures etc I don't wanna get my hopes up.

@waitingforourmiracle good luck for EC tomorrow x

Miraclemuma03 · 31/03/2025 02:38

@Twofromanotherkind that's crazy. Hopefully that all calms down after a couple of days. I just seem to be frustrated, always in a bad mood, I can't shake it. Trying so hard not to always lose my temper, that's not me usually, I'm pretty stable in normal circumstances hahahaha

Oh no hope it settles. I’ve felt so nauseous today struggling to eat my normal lower carb diet. Did not expect to feel this rough

lovelivelaugh64 · 31/03/2025 21:44

Hi all, I am on day 1 of stims today. Had my first injection today. They were not bad, easier than expected.

what dose and meds are you alll on?

Miraclemuma03 · 31/03/2025 22:22

@MrsMc14 the last time I did stims was back in 2021 so this is my first cycle in 4yrs. That's so good how relaxed you are about it all. I'm pretty much just going in with whatever happens happens and we will deal with it when it happens. Hoping that works for us lol

@waitingforourmiracle good luck for ec . I hope you get a good number of eggs.

Miraclemuma03 · 01/04/2025 01:53

Day 6 of stims today and all symptoms besides feeling tired have gone so hoping it means iv settled into the medications, hoping they are doing everything they need to do. 6 more days to go on the stims. For everyone else who have started their stims, how are you feeling? Can't believe we are in April already. Hope this is our month.

3 satsumas a day for vit c

Mediterranean diet as per my consultant advice - chicken , veg , salmon etc..

Iron rich foods - eggs, iron rich cereal

I make sure i get at least 5 fruit veg a day

I eat apricots
Dried apricots
As they help my iron / feretin

Good feretin is important 4 maintaining pregnancy

worldwidetravel2017 · 01/04/2025 13:52

I take 1000 iu vit d daily

( helps against miscarriage)

I have been trying to follow low carb mostly eating more veggies. Although yesterday went to pot because I felt so sick. Also been having extra vitamin d and co enzyme q10, n-acetylcysteine, alpha lipoic acid and melatonin I’ve just added in. No idea if it makes any difference.

MrsMc14 · 01/04/2025 15:10

Someone told me to eat salmon which I do anyways and they mentioned steak once a week.
tried to up my fibre and protein.
fruit Juices
plenty of water.
electrolytes. I’ve been taking liquid iv as soon I started stims.
I take vit d tabs also.

Jazz234 · 01/04/2025 15:12

Hey everyone!

Hope you're all doing OK <3

I had IVF/ICSI in 2022 which resulted in the birth of our daughter. We were successful on our second transfer and we are so grateful!

About to start a new round and hoping for more good news. I am 34, AMH 17, will be starting Gonal F from 3rd April and adding Fyremadel from the 8th April. Estimated collection on 14th! Also have some progesterone injections ready for before transfer and beyond.

I did every trick in the book first time around, including acupuncture and sessions with a natural fertility specialist, but this time all I am doing is taking a fertility vit...we will see! A little tip my accupuncturist shared with me was to make sure you cut out cheese before your transfer as it can alter the lining of your uterus. Probably the only bit of information I have retained from last time!

I really enjoy the comraderie on these forums and look forward to sharing this journey with you all :)
