Thought I'd start a thread for anyone starting IVF/ICSI in April! This is going to be round 2 for me, I'm currently waiting for my period to start so I can book my pre-treatment appointment and typical, I'm a week late with no signs of AF! Joys of PCOS and irregular cycles!

I’ll also be on the short protocol and hopefully starting end of the month. It’s difficult to relax as the process is really nerve wrecking but I tell myself to take it one day at a time. Wishing you luck!

@Hopesforamiracle good to know norethisterone can be administered for 5-6 days! I hope they won’t give it me for long x

@MrsMc14 How are you doing after stopping the tablets? :)

@BreakfastOats I’m feeling fine so far so fingers crossed no mood changes 🥰 thank you for asking. i starting breaking out in spots Friday morning which I didn't get on my 1st round but only minor and not complaining.
how many days will you be taking northisterone for? x

Have any of you done individual counselling or couples counselling during this time period ?

I pick up my norethisterone and they've prescribed it for 7 days and the rest of my meds arrive tomorrow so it's all going to feel very real again, I'll call the clinic tomorrow and hopefully get a date when I can start the norethisterone, currently on cycle day 50, think this is the longest a cycle has ever been, typical!

@worldwidetravel2017 I found meds arriving for my first cycle a lot more overwhelming than I thought I would, I was very emotional but your strong and we'll all get through it together!

Hopefully not long now! @MrsMc14 I’ll start taking tablets this week!

I am doing counselling and I plan to keep it going till this fertility journey comes to an end @worldwidetravel2017 The past 6 weeks have been quite challenging for me but I hope I can feel like myself again soon. Are you considering it ?

B4 that i have some private counselling via an insurance policy i have

AF arrived for me last night, right after I'd picked up the norethisterone, typical! But I've spoke to the clinic and I'll start them after my pre-treatment appointment in April, meds arrive to day so I'll be all set to start around 16th April!

@BreakfastOats I hope the tablets aren't bad for you and hopefully no side effects!

@worldwidetravel2017 I didn't have counselling during my first round but I think if things go the same away this time I would try it, it's good to have someone to talk to!

Did u guys log / have to log stuff in a clinic app ?

@worldwidetravel2017 I have a clinic app which everything is logged in but all documents etc are uploaded by the clinic themselves x

I started another thread as couldn't find this one but here now!

So this is our 3rd IVF cycle and EC will be week of the 7th.

I had nothing from round 1 and a miscarraige from round 2 so doing all the superstitions this time and also had a scratch last week and on added vitamins like coq-10. No stone unturned.

We are same sex couple. I'm now 36 and no issues so really hoping this is it.

Hope you don't mind me joining as eager to follow everyone else's journey too and give any advise i can from past experience.

Im clueless and first round - any knowledge/ advice/ tips welcome

@worldwidetravel2017 There's no silly questions! No I won't log my injections, on my last cycle I just put an alarm on my phone as a little reminder but I don't think I ever really needed it as I was pretty on the ball with them anyway. They just log all notes and medical documents, eg scan results, blood results... Not sure about other clinics though if you need to log injections

Welcome @ClaireBear101 so sorry to hear about your other cycles and your MC, it sounds like you've had a tough ride 💛I'm on round 2 this time, I've also added CO-Q10 this time, have you already started stims?

Stay calm and remember to be kind to yourself is the main thing.
Trust the doctors.
I eat a lot of avocado, blueberries and pomegranate as all help with fertility but each to their own.
You can get lucky first go but I kept an open mind and knew first go was unlikely 2nd was harder and now I'm actually quite relaxed

Started Bucerilin on Saturday so very tired and on off headaches atm. Used to it though haha.
It's a little different here in Ireland from what I have seen in previous threads I've been in.
I'll add in pergoveris on the 26th hopefully and then ec week of 7th April

@ClaireBear101 sorry to hear its taking it's toll! So a lot has happened since my last message haha! The clinic managed to book me in for my pre-treatment appointment about an hour ago so I'm starting stims on Thursday, meriofert I'm on this time, egg collection I'm guessing is going to be first week of April, it's all happened very quick this afternoon but at least it means I don't have another month of waiting!

That is great news though that things are moving along.
I've no patience so hate the waiting and how long it all takes haha. Though it's day 4 of my stims and that's flown by.
Down Regulation scan on the 26th and can't wait for that!

I've gotten 5 eggs last two goes and none to freeze so been working on things to up the quality haha
