IVF April 2025

Thought I'd start a thread for anyone starting IVF/ICSI in April! This is going to be round 2 for me, I'm currently waiting for my period to start so I can book my pre-treatment appointment and typical, I'm a week late with no signs of AF! Joys of PCOS and irregular cycles!

Be nice to have some company! 💛

I caved and tested and was a BFN so praying I'm just too early being 8dp3dt so same as 6dp5dt.
I'll be good to myself this weekend and leave testing again for another while.
I'm praying for this go as I'm sick of bad news after 5 tries. Need some luck.

@ClaireBear101 so sorry to hear that but as you say it's still early days so you're not out yet. Sending you lots of love and luck for the next test. Definitely treat yourself this weekend - you deserve it.

@ClaireBear101im not enjoying it haha. I have previously been a serial tester and this time has not changed apart from it being the earliest time I’ve tested. So tested at 5dp5dt which was positive. Although now I just wish I didn’t. My test this morning was lighter then my afternoon one yesterday so now I’m just thinking the worst. Just wish I waited and never knew anything as if it keeps going it will be negative on test day. But yeah trying to remain somewhat positive is hard after 3 miscarriages.
Fingers crossed you just tested too early and it will appear after the weekend!! I’ve also had many of cries haha

@Alexm06 let's both walk away from the tests for now! Haha
I've an awful headache. I realise my last positive was day 10 after 3 day transfer and so just not gonna think about things...easier said than done!

My 3yr old son was a 3dt and I got a squinter at 9dp3dt , tested at 11dp3dt and it got a little darker. My blood test was at 14dp3dt and it was around 92 .

I'm 4 days past EC and I'm really struggling today. I was quite fine over the weekend, weather was nice etc and I wouldn't expect them to call on a weekend anyway, but any sound my phone makes today has my heart plummeting they're calling to tell me there's nothing left. And that's too bad, because I've had a bunch of calls and texts today about packages and deliveries. Cannot wait for 6 o'clock. Transfer is booked tomorrow noon.

@BakinABaby hopefully all goes well tomorrow! I am the same, i am waiting for our pgt results and everytime phone goes its like rush of adrenaline. Not heard from them yet

just thought I would provide a quick update and wish everyone well with their journey so far.

unfortunately we got carried away and tested a couple of days early (for the first time) and it was a BFN 7days post a 5DT with two embryo transferred. We had a little cry as it was our last cycle. We have paid so much money into it we just have nothing left. We will carry on the meds and test again in two days but expect no change and so it is with this sad news - unless a miracle happens - that I bid you all fair well and wish you all every success in your journeys with lots of baby dust your way!

I really do hope that in a few days you get a bfp but i think you are right to protect your heart with it and not have too much expectation 💜💜💜💜

I'm so sorry you got a negative test. I hope by some miracle it changes.

@worldwidetravel2017 it really is, you're doing so well! Do you have a date for egg collection or is that tomorrow appointment?

Its likely to be in about 5 ish days

Things went better than expected!
Out of the 6 eggs, 5 were mature, all fertilized but one abnormally so it was discarded. They transferred one 3AA, one more good graded they said will probably likely be frozen tomorrow and one more average that maybe will be if it keeps going, they'll let me know after. Best result I have had yet, I am so relieved, I was getting way too doomy gloomy. On to more waiting now.

Fingers crossed for everyone here who is still waiting, hoping you have all the luck you can get.

11dp3dt and still negative. There really isn't a chance now to be fair. 5th try another fail. Heartbroken!

@ClaireBear101 so sorry to hear this islta so hard going through IVF and not getting a positive, I can't remember is there a reason they do a day 3 transfer instead of a day 5 ?
