BFP after IVF - due October 2025

Hi all I thought I would create a thread for our BFPs after IVF.

A bit about me: 34 years old (35 next month)
2x failed transfers and 1x failed to thaw
BFP with this little blub. Scan date 7th of February (will be 6wks1day)🎊
Here's to continuous panicking 🤪

@Cosyseason1234 yes that's what it will be. So go they calculate due date is the how many days past transfer plus what age embryo you put back in +2 weeks. Every pregnancy has the 2 weeks which added up would be roughly when our last period was. Hope that makes sense. So today we are officially 4 weeks +1day. Also from the many forums I've scrolled through over the years brown means it's old and not fresh x

The biggest congrats to everyone who got their double lines! Such an exciting time!

My due date should be the 8th October however my pregnancy tests are a bit on the lighter side and my clinic said they would do a HCG test tomorrow. I’m a bit scared as I’ve had a chemical pregnancy before so really have been stressing out about the slow line progression.
I feel like IVF can be such a joy thief as I can never be happy as there’s always doubts that something could go wrong.

@Cosyseason1234 you too! My friends who have successful IVF reported brown discharge.

I’m ok - apart from this headache! But it’s not constant, it was gone over the weekend and popped up again today. My transfer was 7th Jan - so I’m 6 weeks 4 days today. I’m a little further ahead here. What’s next steps for you in terms of clinic stuff?

@Sherr33 oh gosh, I am so sorry to hear you are going through that. Do you have someone who can support you in the meantime?

@monicabella1234 6 weeks 4 days how exciting 🤗 when is your scan? My OTD is Saturday so hoping for a blood test next week and then a scan at 7 weeks ish I guess?

@monicabella1234 Yep first scan Wednesday...TOMORROW. FINALLY. Think Im 6 weeks today. So sorry to hear about your headaches, I've been lucky enough not to get any this time, theyre so debilitating! Hope they ease up for you soon

Thank you for all the kind messages and support. Thought I would update and let everyone know the short time apart did us some good. And put things into perspective for both of us. I actually had some peace and finally watched whatever I wanted 😌 (mostly animation haha). And it's made me realise, no matter what happens I am strong enough to deal with it.

Congratulations to all the newbies that have joined. And super excited for everyone that has scans this week. Please update us. And anyone waiting for their hcg blood tests I'm sure you all can't wait! Nothing worse than being stuck in limbo. Here's to 2025 and making this our year. Try to stay positive and hopeful as I know how much this journey can chip away at that. X

My clinic do not offer hcg blood test, so I am booking one privately. Would anyone be able to share what day past transfer their clinic carries this out and what the expected levels are? Thank you

Mine was 10dp5dt and the said anything above 80 x

Thank you. Im considering booking two so I can see if it is doubling as expected. Would 8 and 10 days be OK to do this does anyone know.

See if you can book 10dpt and 12dpt x

@roowoop what time is your scan? thinking of you! ours is 9.30am on Thursday. these days need to roll by quick!

i'm feeling how I felt before taking my test - a little bit on the edge, lol.

Thank you! It's at 2pm so I have allllllll morning to stare at the clock. hahaha! Such a good comparison, very on edge. At least its finally coming round for us soon, doesnt it feel like we've been counting down for ages!

I had my HCG done today and got my results this evening. I’m 4 weeks and 6 days pregnant and my HCG is 289 which the consultant seemed happy with and they don’t need me to come back and do a follow up in 48 hours. Is this normal? I would have assumed they need to make sure it’s doubling?

does anyone have any sources of what your HCG be by day post transfer? I’m finding it hard to find a reliable source online as the numbers seem to differ quite a lot.

Hey. Congratulations 🎊 my clinic just the one blood test to check hcg and then booked me for scan. I was supposed to have my scan at 6weeks1day but because I'm short on my meds I'm going in tomorrow at 6wks. So nervous now that the days almost here.

In terms of what hcg should be at what day I'm unsure but my clinic said they'd be happy with anything above 80.

@Feelingmindful @roowoop how are you both feeling about today?x mines been moved forward to tomorrow and I'm so bloody nervous

@Sherr33 That’s good news, at least it is sooner rather than later. I feel as anxious as I was last Friday for the first scan, I didn’t think I would be so I’m a bit surprised.

What time is your scan? Mines at 3:30pm so I won’t be able to focus on work all day.

My clinic do scans in the morning only, so it's at 9am tomorrow for me. Had it been any later I don't think I'd have concentrated at work at all. Mind you these days I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open.

@Sherr33 ahhh that is a relief! OMG me too but I am still up at ridiculous o’clock despite being so tired!

Thanks! Yes this is my second. I am with 2 clinics- I have my main clinic where I am having my IVF done but as they weren’t willing to explore autoimmunity unless I had 3 unsuccessful rounds, I joined another clinic to treat me for the autoimmunity to support the IVF.

I had my second IVGg infusions via the second clinic last week so I had to have a viability scan before the infusion. Today’s scan is with the main clinic. I should be 6 weeks and 6 days today since my transfer was on the 7th Jan.

Thanks all! Viability scan went super well, officially discharged from the ivf unit! Shes kindly referred me to the EPU for a reassurance scan so will await a call from them in the next few days to book me in at some point. The second she said congratulations I burst into tears haha. Still a long road ahead but oh boy, what a ride! She dated me as 6+1 with an EDD of 14th October...does this sound right?? Thought that would make it 30th Sep...so confused hahha

I have been eagerly waiting fir the updates today. I'm so so nervous for mine tomorrow 😬 I dont understand the due dates and calculations myself either tbh I had myself down for I think the app says 2nd Oct :-/ are you still continuing your neds till 12 weeks? Or were you med free? Did you get to take a scan pic or no? Xx

I honestly think she got it wrong and added 2 weeks by mistake?! I dont know, it sounds wrong to me but hey ho!
She said I can stop the progesterone about 9 weeks, though I have enough to go until about 10 so will carry on until then. Im sorta scared to stop them, last time I stopped them I had a mmc a week later.. Im not on anything else though.

She gave me scan pics and even asked if I wanted to take a video of the heartbeat! Was so lovely. Nice to get a bit of reassurance. I hope it all goes well for you tomorrow
