Anyone starting next month? I'll be on my 4th cycle. I've just bought 2 cycles with manchester fertility and it will be me done. I'm 36, have a low amh of 5.2 and afc 10. I'm doing the estrogen priming protocol so will take estrogen tablets for 7 days starting from day 21. I then take 450 meriofert. I'm not sure whether I am excited or nervous. It has been a year since my last cycle and I'm going to struggle with another loss but wanted to get started again also. No children yet and over 3 years trying. Have blocked tubes and endo xx

Hey @Rebekah77 glad to hear its going well for you so far, so bloody nerve-wracking every time you go to a scan isn't it, I'm always expecting them to say all the follicles have packed up shop lol.
What day of stims are you on?

Day 6

surgery slot with a general was pre booked so there isn’t any wiggle room really

upping my meds and back on Monday

What did they say at your ultrasound? are you happy with the number of follicles they were able to see, also knowing that they will grow over the next few days and before your surgery 🙌🏻❤️

@FrostedFlake yes I finally got it last night! I was so stressed cos my clinic is closed over the weekend too but AF has finally made an appearance 😂

Jumping on this thread too as I will be doing IVF this month for a sibling cycle. First round was March 2021, can't believe it's been almost 4 years already!

AF is due on the 17th so not long to go now.

Had a scan today, there is good growth and a good number of follicles but little slower than they would like, dr said it’s probably as I have longer cycles of 32/33 days so two more days of stims for me yippee 😂

Exactly this! I've always had around 11 follicles and for some reason this month (for my first cycle of treatment) they said they could only see 4. Just my luck! Hopefully they see more at the next scan which is next week. It's playing on my mind a bit though. I was wondering if we should have delayed a month but they seem to think we should press ahead as my AMH is 'normal' for my age range.

my collection was booked ages ago as it’s a general , booked for Friday

my jeans are deffo being retired lol 😂 the bloat bump is out lol 😂

yeah scan good and good actually see my bad side which is stuck with endo

increased my dose and we check again Monday

Hi everyone please can I join? I am doing my first cycle of ICSI this month. I have a low AMH and male factor. I'm currently waiting to start bleeding then I'll start my injections on day 2. Really nervous but trying to take it one day at a time. Any advice welcomed!

@Chickenqueen glad your scan went well! I didn't know the length of your cycle could impact how the follicles grow.. I have a longer cycle too generally 32 days same as you, I wonder if mine will be the same as yours with them growing a bit slower.

@FrostedFlake how was your first injection? (I think it was yesterday, I think you're 1 day ahead of me)

between being old and my endo I feel happy so far just see what tomorrow brings . Upped my dose Eating all the protein .. maternity leggings on as so bloaty

taken today off , just sorting housework and keeping busy . Pain not too bad today but I rest later . Trying to stick to paracetamol only

@Rebekah77 honestly quite nervous about the injections, I feel like they showed me how to do it so long ago I've forgotten! Going to spend the evening watching YouTube videos 😂

I used the videos from clinic watched those twice . The needles are so fine I didn’t feel anything

I’m day 5 of stims today, have to start Ovamex tonight as well, and then I have my first monitoring scan at 1.30pm tomorrow.

This is my first round of IVF so not really sure what to expect, but everything on my infertility journey so far has felt like the worst game of snakes and ladders you could imagine. Every time I’ve had the tiniest bit of positive news, I’ve fallen back down to earth with something much worse very soon after.

It’s so hard to allow myself to be excited and positive. Although I’ve had some tiny glimmers the last few days, yesterday we were walking round the supermarket and saw a cute little girl in a trolley with crazy curly hair (I also have crazy curly hair) and I felt my DP squeeze my hand a little tighter, and we smiled at each other, and I said “it was the little curly girl wasn’t it” and he said “yep 🥰”.

@OpalMaker Snakes and ladders is a good way of describing it! We were meant to start in November but kept being delayed for various different reasons...more scans etc.

Fingers crossed you get your little curly one.

@Ttcforeverandever 100% echo what @Rebekah77 said, the injections barely hurt for me at all, super easy I was also extremely nervous about that but been totally fine.
Tip someone gave me, do the injection standing and take the weight off the side you are injecting, much less painful!

@Rebekah77 good luck to you too! I’m off for my day 7 scan, although it’s technically day 8. The bloat is starting to get me too, so horrible! How much longer do you have on stims?

im also terrified that the injections I’m doing to stop me ovulating won’t work for some reason and then it’s all ruined 😂 hopefully feel better after the scan today.

Day 8 for me too , I’ve not started the second meds yet is making me a bit anxious

rocking a very big belly lol tried on all my normal leggings this morning was hilarious! Lol 😂 err no lol not gonna work ! Hoping under my big coat it won’t look too much like a bump ! Really don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea

should just be 3 more days of stims , see what todays scan brings

furthest I’ve gotten in 18 months can’t help the niggling feeling it may be cancelled

Had my scan today and all looks good for a collection on Weds 🤞 - nurse will call to confirm after my bloods. Bricking it about messing up the trigger!

@Chickenqueen that’s great news that the scan went well and collection is booked for Wednesday! Don’t worry, you won’t mess up the trigger shot as long as you stick to the time the clinic gave you and even then I’m sure there’s a small bit of wiggle room as I was waiting for a bit for my collection on the day and it was after the allocated slot.

@Rebekah77 best of luck with your ultrasound too! Id say being bloated might be good and hopefully a sign that you’ve lots and lots of follicles growing 😊

@Nobodyknowsitall5 how are your injections going? I’m two down and my first scan is on Friday 😄 I’m really not sure what to expect as the last time around we didn’t get as many eggs as we would have liked so I’m hoping the higher dosage will mean more follicles 🤞

@FrostedFlake thanks! that does make me feel a bit better, I guess if they give you a specific time you have to prepare the needles ect ahead of that?
