Anyone starting next month? I'll be on my 4th cycle. I've just bought 2 cycles with manchester fertility and it will be me done. I'm 36, have a low amh of 5.2 and afc 10. I'm doing the estrogen priming protocol so will take estrogen tablets for 7 days starting from day 21. I then take 450 meriofert. I'm not sure whether I am excited or nervous. It has been a year since my last cycle and I'm going to struggle with another loss but wanted to get started again also. No children yet and over 3 years trying. Have blocked tubes and endo xx

Morning lovelies, happy new year

it’s agony honestly but clinic were not concerned, was expecting it with endo just intense ! Moving around slowly , try and make sure I’m getting a walk in and eating protein

had some paracetamol and under lots of blankets . Trying to just take it one day at a time . First scan Friday hopefully I can manage until then

💜

Happy new year! Hoping 2025 is a happy one for us all.

@Blueskycat it was fine! My hand was so shaky and sweaty 😂 but yes totally fine so I think I won’t be so shaky for the next one.

@Rebekah77 sorry you are in so much pain, hopefully Friday comes quickly and you can at least see how things are going with the scan. Stay cosy

FrostedFlake · 01/01/2025 15:25

Well done on getting the first one down @jenk91 it’s always the hardest! You will be a pro at them in no time ☺️
@Rebekah77 sorry to hear you are still in a lot of pain! Hopefully not too much longer to go and you’ll be all done with the stims. Will they need to do full anesthesia to do the ultrasound on Friday?

Rebekah77 · 01/01/2025 16:14

Nah General is just for collection @FrostedFlake

not looking forward to another week and a half of this lol 😂 already feel so full

not gained anything so far just weighing each morning to keep an eye . Definitely feel swollen !

how’s things with you @FrostedFlake x

Oh that’s good and means you don’t have to travel far! Will you have to go to the clinic further away all the time after collection or will they be able to transfer the eggs to the clinic closer to you?

Im feeling a bit sorry for myself 😅 as I have a bad cold and my withdrawal bleed has started. Looking forward to the weekend when I can get started with stims 🙌🏻

Rebekah77 · 01/01/2025 18:03

Unfortunately any embryos will then be at the other clinic which is a pain but just taking one day at a time ! Least my scans are at my local clinic

aww get cozy and hope the withdrawal bleed isn’t too rough

deffo looking round tonight lol 😂 uncomfortable to sit down so I’m moving around standing is better . Feels very similar to how I did after my last laparoscopy

Kr0 · 01/01/2025 20:16

Hiya! Also jumping in on this thread. Hoping to start my stims on the 11th too.
Happy new year everyone!

Ttcforeverandever · 02/01/2025 08:18

Hi everyone, hope New Years was fun for everyone 😊

Just wondering how many days after stopping Norethisterone did you get your bleeds? I stopped mine on Monday night and still haven't had anything yet. Had lots of period pain and cramping but no bleed yet.

Starting to get a bit stressed cos I'm due to start my injections on Sunday but can only do that if I've had a bleed..

I think it’s usually from 2-5 days after stopping them. I stopped on the 29th and got my bleed on the 1st so would have been the third day as such. You still have plenty of time before Sunday! Hopefully it arrives soon x

Ttcforeverandever · 02/01/2025 15:17

@FrostedFlake thank you, I'm on day 3 at the moment so fingers crossed any day now. I rang the clinic too and they said the same, just need to wait it out. The one time I'm praying for a bleed 😂 x

Chickenqueen · 02/01/2025 15:18

Hi! Hope its ok to join, I am on day 7 of stims at the moment for a frozen cycle, EC currently penciled for Tuesday :)

@Ttcforeverandever I had my last dose on the 21st Dec and AF came on Christmas day.

Ttcforeverandever · 02/01/2025 15:27

@Chickenqueen welcome 😊 how are you getting on with the stims?

Thank you I'm hoping it'll be here sooner rather than later x

Rebekah77 · 02/01/2025 16:03

Welcome @Chickenqueen

@Ttcforeverandever fingers crossed for a bleed .

scan tomorrow walking is pretty uncomfortable but I’m making sure to get my 10,000 steps minimum

Lozzy000 · 02/01/2025 18:21

@Ttcforeverandever when I took it my cycle started 2 days after stopping. But I believe it can be anything between 2 and 6 days. Fingers crossed it arrives soon, sounds like it's on its way. Mine was a little heavier to normal too x

I take estrogen for 7 days from 18th jan and then wait for my bleed. I'll start taking the meriofert shortly after that. They are powder vials and I'll have to take 3 :( grim.

How are you getting on? Xx

Hello,

We’re starting our first cycle of IVF with ICSI this month.

I’m 38 with AMH 0.6 and AFC 5-6.

DP 41 (2 children 9 and 11 from prev relationship) with male factor now.

We tried Letrozole for a few cycles and until we got my DP’s SA results back and realised it was futile, Letrozole also made me ovulate during my period a couple of times which is a curveball!

My bleed started on NYE, and so first day of stims was NYD (I’m on 300 i/u Ovaleap).

Due to start Ovamex on Sunday, and my first monitoring scan is booked for Monday afternoon.

Hello everyone! 😊

Crazy isn't it! I said to my husband 'you do realise we have about 3k worth of meds in the fridge!?'

OneWaryCat · 03/01/2025 12:03

Sorry to hear you are in so much pain @Rebekah77

I am a bit worried as I have really bad adenomyosis and the only way to get through each month is strong meds and boiling hot water bottles....

However I'm on the long protocol and downregulating (with a nose spray) so they said that it would help because the oestrogen which antagonises the adenomyosis is 'turned off'.

Fingers crossed that is the case. The whole point of them choosing the long protocol for me was to help with this.

I have a scan next wednesday so hoping to see if the down reg has worked properly for me and to see how many follicles we currently have. Bit nervous about it,

Rebekah77 · 03/01/2025 12:22

fingers crossed lovely @OneWaryCat the pain levels have been the main cause for delay but I’ve been on short protocol

looking good this morning so hoping all grows a bit more over the next few days

OneWaryCat · 03/01/2025 12:35

That's great @Rebekah77

I really feel for you. I know how bad the pain can be.

I went in to my clinic one day after only 4 hours sleep from pain, and bleeding all over my bedsheets, and then cried and told the consultant I was thinking about giving up on trying IVF and going back on the pill to make the pain stop (I kept being delayed starting treatment for more scans related to adenomyosis).

She scanned me and said "I can see why you are in so much pain, everything is so inflamed". I felt really validated.

Then she said "I can see you are really distressed, let's just get the process started and get things going for you and once we have the eggs collected we can decide on next steps and if we do fresh transfer or delay to frozen if we need to do more investigations'

Thank goodness for that woman.
