I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

Hi all,
Lovely to see so many on this thread while we ride this IVF rollercoaster.
What are everyone’s dates for transfer? I have a scan booked for 13/01/2025 so will know more then but I guess mine will be W/C 20/01/2025.
For those who have been through a FET before,how is the progesterone? Looking to book a weekend away in a couple of weeks but will leave it if I will feel crap!
Been on estrogen 3 days now and feel fine and was fine on stims.

I’m on the sofa after first day back at work… waiting to get results of progesterone test from this morning! If all good, the transfer is tomorrow afternoon.

Feel nervous about the results but am sure they will be fine.

This is my second round of progesterone - I feel ok! And i’m on 3 a day. A little emotional but nothing too out of the ordinary.

I think a weekend away sounds like a good shout. We have a night away in Sussex booked for this weekend, to try and break up the week.

Hi @SamVan ah sorry to read you've had such a hard time too, it's really tough. Wishing you all the best tomorrow 🤞🏻did they say anything about your low estrogen etc?

@Cosyseason1234 the progesterone is fine. It took me awhile to get used to them though, they used to set my stomach off. You can definitely travel with them.

@Daniki thank you!! Clinic said we can proceed with yeast and low estrogen but I’m a worrier. I keep looking up studies and some say it’s not ideal. I guess I’ll just have to wait a see. I booked a long trip straight after which I might have to amend if it does work but at least it’s a consolation prize if it doesn’t.

what’s everyone doing for supplements for fet? I’m taking my normal pregnacare and optibac pregnancy but wondered if anyone has other suggestions?

@monicabella1234 great to hear you have felt ok on the progesterone and fingers crossed that your transfer can go ahead tomorrow! Hope you are feeling ok about it? A cosy night away this weekend will be lovely and very well deserved!

@SamVan thank you for the advice! Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. If the clinic have said it’s all good with the estrogen I’m sure they would have said let’s wait until next month? Completely get what you are saying about being a worrier though,I’ve never googled so much until I started all this!

Aww @SamVan it’s horrendous isn’t it? Trying to remain positive is so hard!! Trying to cling onto hope when it just feels like you’re stuck.

@Cosyseason1234 That sounds similar to my timeline. I spoke to the nurse today as AF came yesterday and they’re speaking to the embryologists in the morning about dates looking at my notes. So I’ll have a scan next week (baseline) and so transfer should be the week after.

Hi guys. How's everyone getting on? Looks like a few of us have a rough date around the same week. We will be in the TWW together. Started oestrogen today as well as fragmin. I have a scan next Friday to see how my womb lining looks with the hopes of transfer the following week. I have a date of roughly the 22nd. Just now trying to keep occupied as we have a lot of house renos coming up so hoping that's a big distraction as I know from previous cycles I'm a serial tester 😣

Hi hope everyone is doing well! I had a 2nd lining check scan today, still fairly thin but grown a bit and they seem pretty chilled about it all.. back for another scan on Friday and they said they'll up my oestrogen if lining needs a boost and then go from there.

They seem very like its all fiiiiine and I'm just freaking out about everything being a potential problem (I have a bit of thrush at the mo, and just discovered I have slightly elevated pH and am low on some good bacteria which has been keeping me awake at night worrying!) Such a stress process.

Keeping everything crossed my lining plays ball, I have had 2 surgeries to remove adhesions following a surgical TFMR so it's definitely something I'm concerned about

AF has literally just arrived for me. I'm having a natural transfer and have short cycles. So by my reckoning, my transfer would be the 23rd Jan.

@SamVan I'm sure if they were concerned they would postpone if, but ask them when you're in if it's worthwhile upping your dose etc? Best of luck!!

I'm nauseas and sore so I expect il wake up with AF in the morning hopefully(first time wishing for it haha) and start meds Tuesday! Going off last cycle I'm hoping for a transfer the end of jan 🤞🏻🍀

morning! so we've got our progesterone result (it's 80... they said baseline for this clinic was 30. I didn't have it tested before so I can't compare, but they are happy).

and also huge relief that embryologist rang at 11am and said the thaw went well, and we're ready to roll for this afternoon!

i've got some films at the ready for later, and some nice food made!

any good comedy film recommendations? i'll be watching Bridesmaids first, but would love some new suggestions if anyone wants to share x

Best of luck @monicabella1234. Don't forget the obligatory mc Donald's fries after transfer for luck! Warm socks on, take it easy. And now that you have asked I can't think of one good comedy film 😂 but schitts creek is usually my happy go to!

@Daniki hi, I remember you from the September thread as well, hopefully we will be more lucky in January.

Are you doing a frozen transfer?

In the end we have decided to do another fresh cycle and to keep the 2 embryos from our September round as back-ups as I have low AMH and am not getting any younger. AF should come next week but it will only be my second AF since the MMC so it could be delayed as well.

@YellowTack that's a good idea, bank as many as you can! Yea we will be doing a frozen transfer, our first was also a frozen transfer as I had almost 30 follicles for EC. We have 5 embryos left. Mine seems to be delayed too it would be my 3rd, was expecting it yest no sign but I am crampy and I have very sore nipples! Told my husband to get pregnancy test just incase but that would be a miracle and I tested negative on Sunday 😂 how are you feeling about doing another whole cycle? I took NMN powder for 3 months before EC I believe it increased my AMH and it's supposed to help with egg quality, never got my embryos tested so unsure on that front!

thanks Daniki! I didn't do the fries before... I think I'll go for it this time, as the sun is shining down here, and so I was planning on doing a little walk afterwards, then rest.

@monicabella1234 yea it's a great one! Get the fries for sure, I think I read a bit of exercise is good after a transfer (nothing strenuous ofc) so a walk is a good idea! Too cold and icy here for that anyway 🥶😂

@monicabella1234 transfer twins! My last two transfer twins both got pregnant so I like to think I’m good luck 😂

@SamVan i have just read your post from the other day, with your experience last year - crossing everything for you!

this is our 2nd transfer. i started bleeding before OTD in November, and the embryo wasn't a great quality. we were upset, but I didn't think it was our time. feeling much more positive today.

@monicabella1234 sorry to hear about your last experience too. Hopefully this will be our month! My doc says it’s just time and a numbers game.

I’m on the couch watching clickbait, snuggling my cat and eating fried chicken. Stressful shows make me feel less stressed about my own situation! I did go for a walk straight after the transfer though. Saw a study which said moving around after is good.

sounds ideal! i'm going to get my cats on the sofa when i get back too... heading off now! enjoy the chicken.
