Hi all ☺️

I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

Please join this thread if you are on a similar timescale πŸ’«

morning everyone! happy new year day to you all, and good wishes for 2025 x

we're back from the clinic this morning after lining scan, all ok so going ahead with progesterone tomorrow, and then FET on Tuesday 7th. nice to have some good news on this first day of the new year.

how is everyone else getting on?

Cosyseason1234 · 01/01/2025 13:06

That’s fantastic news @monicabella1234 πŸ‘πŸ» is it approx 14 days from start of estrogen until transfer? I am still impatiently waiting πŸ˜‚ got alllll the symptoms so fingers crossed i start tomorrow!

My transfer was on day 17 of my cycle since starting the oestrogen with a frozen cycle last time.

Mseddy · 02/01/2025 15:38

That's exciting @monicabella1234 the first transfer of the thread! Fingers crossed for your lining staying lovely for the 7th.
@Cosyseason1234 mine is planned for day 18 of my cycle. They said they have a 5 day window they can play with though if my cycle started early. So I think it can vary clinic to clinic

Does your clinic not give you a treatment diary?

Orangewillow · 02/01/2025 16:17

Just been for a scan and have been given the go ahead, and some progynova to give my lining a boost! Back in for another scan on Monday and if my lining is looking good then they said transfer could be a week after. I was expecting to have to wait for the start of my next cycle later in Jan to kick off, so this is a bit of a surprise - excited and also quite scared!

Cosyseason1234 · 02/01/2025 18:10

@Mseddy I am hoping when I report full flow the nursing team will be informative and I will have more of an idea of timescales,I am hoping for a transfer around the 17th Jan.

@Orangewillow this is exciting we will be in TWW together!

@Cosyseason1234 my transfer will be day 17. I won't get another scan to check lining, but they are going to give me a blood test to check my progesterone levels. I'm back in pessary world as of today... but upped to 3 a day!

I assume you are still waiting for AF, and hope you are feeling ok!

Thanks @Mseddy - when is your day 18 looking like?

SlinkMcSlink · 02/01/2025 19:14

Has anyone been through a transfer before? I only ask because they can’t tell you that your transfer will be on day 17/18/19 until you’ve had the scan to check your lining the week before. Just a heads up if you’re like me and become fixated on a certain day! I would have been so annoyed even if I had to wait a couple of more days- how ridiculous do I sound? That’s how I felt at the time though.

Wishing lots of luck to everyone xx

@monicabella1234 day 1 is going to be tomorrow as I am spotting today πŸ‘πŸ» how are the pessaries?!

@SlinkMcSlink thank you for this! It’s my first transfer, the protocol says 14 days but I’ll bare that in mind that it might go on longer than I expect! IVF makes life very hard to plan πŸ« πŸ˜‚

@SlinkMcSlink yeah this is my 4th transfer. My clinic sets your transfer day and do all they can to stick to it. They said they will manipulate my oestrogen meds to try and make sure transfer is that day. I'm booked in for 31st Jan.

I didn’t mind the pessaries so much on first round. It was one in the morning and one at night. This time, two at night.

Bit messy, and just need to time with eating / needing to go!

Woohoo for your first day πŸ’ͺ🏼

roowoop · 03/01/2025 06:58

Hey all! Excited to join you guys. I’m having an unmedicated cycle with a transfer sometime around 16th Jan, maybe πŸ˜‚
Scan is currently booked in for the 8th. This will be my first FET. The waiting and all the uncertainty is so frustrating!
Hope everyone’s had a good Christmas and New Years!

paintfairy · 03/01/2025 12:26

I am hoping for a frozen transfer this month too. They said I could after my appointment in December but I'll believe it when I see it. I have questions and they just are very slow and they've not given me the actual protocol either. πŸ™„ But it's a natural cycle so nothing to technically do anyway until I call CD1 to book scans etc. Due next Wednesday I think......

Cosyseason1234 · 03/01/2025 17:07

Welcome @paintfairy @roowoop

I was expecting my day 1 today but still spotting πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I can’t advise on unmedicated as I am medicated but hopefully someone on here who’s been through it can?!

Hopefully some BFP’s on this thread within the next few weeks πŸ‘πŸ»

@paintfairy I had my 1st scan yesterday for natural cycle at day 6, my clinic would usually do this days 2-5 but said it was fine, my lining usually thin so they've out me on progynova twice a day from yesterday. I'm back for a scan Monday and then I think probably another couple before transfer a week later if all goes to plan (!) I suppose clinics have different approaches but that's my protocol/plan if at all helpful!

There's no plan to give me anything other than progesterone. I spoke to them earlier as I'm concerned about my LP spotting. But they said they check lining thickness and also will do a progesterone check, so I guess if things aren't right, turn they'd abandon it. I suppose i have to just have faith it'll all be fine.

roowoop · 03/01/2025 23:15

I am also just living by having faith atm hahah. My first scan is on cycle day 14, with only progesterone planned. Guess we’ll see what happens! πŸ˜…

Daniki · 04/01/2025 12:09

Hey ladies can I join? Doing another transfer this month, done one in sep which was successful but unfortunately miscarried on oct. Just paid for it today and period due Monday so hoping to start meds Monday or Tuesday hope they don't take long to get back to me!
@YellowTack hey how are you doing, recognise you from the sep thread x

SlinkMcSlink · 04/01/2025 15:51

@Daniki Sorry to hear you miscarried. 😒 I was on the September thread too. I had a transfer on 23rd September but unfortunately it didn’t stick. X

Daniki · 04/01/2025 15:54

@SlinkMcSlink I remember your name too actually! Thank you, and sorry it didn't work out it's so much effort to get to that point and then it not work 😭 Wil they change anything going forward?

SlinkMcSlink · 04/01/2025 18:06

@Daniki No the consultant said to stick to the same protocol. It was my first transfer. I could have had one in December but my hospital department had closures over Christmas. The embryologists don’t work over the holidays so they had a cut off point if you hadn’t started AF by the end of November just in case your transfer day fell on a day that they were closed.

How about you?

Daniki · 04/01/2025 18:57

@SlinkMcSlink I would find that so frustrating! I finally had an appointment with the recurrent miscarriage clinic in December so they have given extra medications (clexane & plaqnueil) to add to my meds if I get pregnant again. I have an appointment with a reproductive immunologist at the end of the month but likely the plaqnueil is what she would be starting on in addition to prednisone etc which I was on last time. AF is due Monday so hoping I start meds on Tuesday! Haven't heard back from the clinic yet only to say they've received payment and have passed it on to the team to send us the treatment plan 🫣

SlinkMcSlink · 04/01/2025 19:09

Sounds like it’s all being handled well. See I can’t complain as I’m going through the nhs so don’t have a payment plan. I’m patiently waiting for AF to arrive too. Either tonight/tomorrow/Monday.

I did hope that perhaps I’d catch naturally over the Xmas period but that’s just a fantasy in my head so that I don’t have to go through all the medication and hospital stuff again cries with fed up. Although the nhs have been really good and set me up with a counsellor who specialises in fertility/women’s health. So that’s been really helpful for any spiralling that I’m doing. I’ve got my oestrogen tablets here waiting to start. The consultant did try and persuade me to try a natural cycle but I’ve refused purely on the basis of knowing my luck, my transfer window would fall naturally on a weekend and they’re only open to nhs patients Monday-Friday. Also, my job requires some notice. You sound like you have much more control going privately @Daniki

Daniki · 04/01/2025 19:17

@SlinkMcSlink I'm in Ireland and don't qualify for the public funded system here as we already have a living child together πŸ™ˆ but clinic is same only open mon-fri so they plan things rigidly so that everything falls during the week. But everything is usually quick and there is no long delays which is great! Aw I know we were hoping the same to fall naturally but no joy. πŸ₯² hopefully we'll be lucky in 2025!

SamVan · 06/01/2025 17:43

Hi all! I see some familiar names here @Daniki @SlinkMcSlink from the September cycle. Sorry you guys are still in this process and your transfers didn’t work out. I had a chemical after fet in August (devastating). Switched from nhs to a private clinic. Then did another round in October (poor pgta results) and had a transfer in Dec (BFN). Doing another transfer tomorrow. I don’t feel hopeful as I seem to have low estrogen and a yeast infection. Also trying not to get my hopes up like the last two times and it is so hard when it fails!
