I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

My clinic prescribed me more drugs today to get me to 8 weeks for my scan. The bill dropped on my app £1400!!! Id calculated about £800 to get to 12 weeks so I shit myself. Turns out they had prescribed me 22 weeks worth of lubion not 22 days! Thank god

@Mseddy Christ I would’ve shit myself too! Honestly why are the clinics so bad at it, they got my prescription and payment wrong today too 🙄I literally go in person to pay now because it’s been wrong so many times! Infuriating..

@paintfairy id be so frustrated if I was you! Is it today you're back in for a scan? If it's a cancelled round do you still have to pay for it!?

So I took a test this morning, I thought it was the same but when I back and looked as it dried out maybe it's a smidge darker. The rest of tests are all done in the PM this was SMU today (with a 3.5 hr hold as my son was up sick at 4.30am 🤪)
I feel so anxious over it all my heart is racing it's awful 🥲 I have no tests left I think I might either 1) leave it and test again tomorrow or thurs night 2) leave it all together and see what BETA says on Friday 🥹

@Daniki step away from the tests. 🤣 Yes they do look darker. Only a tiny bit but they look fine.

Yes I went today. 🙄 Follicle still there and so transfer is on for Monday. They'll ring Friday with a time. Yes you have to pay if they cancel the cycle and i am being charged for last month's. £650 and i never got past the first scan. DH is doing his nut. Doesn't really seem that reasonable. Neither do I have a spare 650. It's already cost almost 4k as it is.

@paintfairy 😳 the cheeky fucks! I don't blame your DH mine would go through the roof! 😓 really boils my blood that it's bad enough we suffer with infertility/pregnancy loss that we then have to pay thousands to get pregnant. I was reading a post in a private fb page this morning of a woman who just found out she is 17 weeks pregnant after a whole weekend of drinking and doing coke, while her 8 month old is at home with her mam. 🙈 but yes I need to step away from the tests I can feel my anxiety taking a big grasp on me 🙈

@Daniki seems so unfair, doesn't it? And yes, they definitely take advantage. I'm not even angry, I just feel so drained now by it and I've not even got to the transfer! How people manage to go through several cycles i do not know. They certainly don't make it easier on you by being so useless either.
The anxiety aspect is a struggle. It really doesn't get easier. I'm a really anxious person too and it's just horrible. Off button please! 🤣

@paintfairy an off button would be a delight 😂 yea defo not fair. I hope everything goes on for you regardless and you get your transfer and a positive result 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Literally when they told me they had to stop the fresh transfer because my oestrogen was through the roof and I was already at rock bottom emotionally, then they email and are like ok so that'll be another £1700 please. I just cried my eyes out, in a taxi (that I at that point was realising very quickly I couldn't afford) to the clinic to get a change of meds before they closed for the day. Stress stress stress.

@paintfairy i am so sorry you are going through this stress! Infertility is such a stressful journey as it is without the clinics (that are making so much money) making it worse. I’ve got everything crossed for a positive outcome for you xx

@Ginny91 did they charge you for a FET after your fresh cycle was cancelled due to OHSS risk? My understanding of this is that 99% of UK clinics don’t charge for this as it’s a medical reason and out of your control,it may be worth querying it with them? Xx

I'm sorry @paintfairy . It's so stressful, isn't it! I hope everything works out for Monday, and you don't have to deal with their admin again.

To add, I had a freeze all cycle due to ohss risk as well, and I checked what you said @Cosyseason1234 to see if I should have been charged for a FET (as I was). And my clinic provides a £400 discount on a FET if you were unable to have a fresh transfer for medical reasons. Mine was slightly more expensive than yours @Ginny91 even with the discount, at £1995, so maybe you got a discount too! Although it's still a shockingly expensive add on, to transfer the one embryo.

@Waitingformystork yes exactly that it, they told me it was discounted and I was like welp ! @Cosyseason1234 I was about to get excited but it definitely said in all my paperwork that they would charge if it cancelled :(

I didn't realise that about the frozen following fresh. I assumed it was free too. Although my clinic charge a lot more than you've both quoted, @Waitingformystork @Ginny91 so I'm glad I've never been in that boat with them. My fresh cycle was paid for by the nhs so I didn't really pay attention back then. I'm not even sure it says anywhere actually. I'm now going to have a look out of curiosity! But I think I'd have cried as well, in your shoes @Ginny91 . 😔

@Ginny91 its nice isn’t it 😂😂 have you paid for anymore meds yet? See if your GP will give you a prescription if not,mine was very kind and agreed to when I sent over my treatment protocol from the clinic as proof of what I’m taking xx

@Cosyseason1234 ah I should’ve tried it but I was almost out & got anxious about when I’d collect them so just went through the clinic. I’m sooo glad they did that for you though, a saving & someone being kind is exactly what we like to hear!! 💛

I'm so over the cycolgest but I know I'm using it for good reason, so just going to keep on going. Think I have to use it right up to 12 weeks if we get that far...

Although I didn't realise that, because 'normal conception' is counted from date of last period, you have an extra two weeks at the start which you don't have with fresh or frozen transfer. So technically I am '4 weeks pregnant' despite knowing my embryo is only 2 weeks old. Anyone else find this bit baffling?

@OneWaryCat I find it baffling they count it like that anyway. Because even with normal conception you are 2 weeks pregnant before you've ovulated or DTD. Which makes zero sense!

I had a bad migraine last night. I'm not sure how much of it is stress and whether the progesterone isn't helping. In addition to my caffeine decline.

Transfer 10.50am Monday.

Just got my Beta results back, only 54 and I'm 11dp5dt they want it over 150. Have to repeat my bloods on Tuesday but she said possibly a chemical or even an ectopic 😭 I got my darkest test today aswell, but I just had an inkling all week with my tests that something wasn't right

@Daniki sorry to hear that :( it could be possible your embryo just took it's sweet time to implant. How dark are your tests?

@Mseddy I attached them below. During the day eek I was worried they were all pretty much the same but todays was defo the darkest. I got a faint positive on 4dp5dt so not sure if it was a late implanter 😭 not really sure what to think, iv to repeat bloods tues but won't get the result until wed il be going out of my mind worrying
