TWW Fresh Embryo Transfer Symptoms

Hi everyone !

I am currently 5 days past a 5 day fresh embryo transfer. I've had slight cramping and lower back pain since day 1 as well as very vivid dreams.
Could these be symptoms that the embryo has implanted ? Or just a side effect of my progesterone pessaries.

We have male infertility factor and my AMH levels and lining were good when I had the transfer. My period is due a week today so I'm now worrying it's just my period coming early before my official test day which would be odd as I'm very regular!

Just feeling a little lonely in this two week wait as I've never wanted something so much !
Any success stories with similar symptoms would be great ?

@LimeTurtle @Natasha90 @cbear1989 The scan was amazing! Baby is in a good place, and we heard and saw its little heart beating. Its growth is spot on for the time too! The only thing that I wasn’t expecting was the shape of the baby. I’d seen 6 week scans online and it looked more ‘formed’ but all you could see was a blob and the beating heart like a flutter. Just incase anyone else is expecting to see the head shape like I was, you don’t! 🫣😂
I’ve booked an appointment with the midwife in the public hospital and they can see me on the 23rd Oct so I’ll have my first tests etc then but I feel more relaxed now knowing that baby is there, and in the right place 💓

Did you go through your GP to get in touch with the midwife.

@Natasha90 im not in the UK, here they have something called a ‘Matrona’ which I think is the equivalent of a midwife. I called the main hospital and asked for an appointment in my local clinic with them, but it seems like there’s a lot of pregnant people as the wait isn’t normally that long! Lets hope the next 13 days goes super fast 🤞🏻

Wow nausea is kicking my butt, no actual vomiting but just all day sickness. Zero food is also appealing to me, very odd as I'm a major foodie 😂😂 totally worthit though, keep telling myself I'm so blessed and it's actually incredible what our bodies are doing right now!

@cbear1989 I feel your pain being a fellow foodie 🤣 I'm actually doing well at the moment and seem to be eating too much 🤣 but still getting waves of nausea afterwards which I regret. I've done my last test this morning for some reassurance and it showed up straight away, a very strong line. I am officially 6 weeks today ✨ just packing up the car to head off to Wales for a few days. I so can't wait.
6 days until my first scan too ahhh😀😀😀

@LimeTurtle ah love that, according to my app I'm 6 weeks today too so we are possibly on the same timeline 😂😂 glad you're doing okay with eating, I'm just forcing myself to eat but not really enjoying anything which is really weird haha but don't worry about eating too much, your body is working very hard! Not long til your scan, enjoy Wales and itll be here before you know it!xx

Hi @Kaybee1989 ! Wow I am struggling with all day baaaad nausea😅😅, also worrying myself silly as I had a touch of spotting but seems to have stopped and I've not had any painful cramps, so that combined with how horrendous I feel is reassuring... so am starting to relax a little more, but still pretty anxious for my scan next Tuesday! it's such a roller coaster isn't it!?

Also have a sort of heavy feeling in my stomach but only really when I cough which is a bit strange but I'm sure it's fine 🤣🤣 I'm really struggling with what to eat as I literally just do not fancy anything at all, having to just force myself to eat something cos I'm fine once it's in front of me and I'm eating it...

how's everyone else doing? driving the selves anywhere near as crazy as I am?!

I am struggling with the nerves I won't lie and the constant stressing. I've had a lovely time away we are on our way back today ! It's totally taken my mind off of it but woke up this morning just feeling anxious about Friday !

My nausea is gone it's only very occasional now. But i seem to be the opposite to you @cbear1989 I literally cannot stop eating. Anything salty ! I'm being a real pig 🤣 my boobs are really sore and I just feel so tired like my body is worn out. But apart from that no other symptoms. I also have a weird shooting pain when I cough which is odd !

Try not to stress about the spotting, I've heard it's really common with IVF pregnancy - no idea why ? Just read a couple of articles on it 😌

@LimeTurtle do you know what though, you saying that about the shooting pain when you cough is so reassuring to me, cos that's kinda how I feel... almost like a shooting pain and dull ache when I cough.

I reckon the nausea thing coming and going is so so normal so please don't worry, all your other symptoms sound good anyway but again every pregnancy is so different and some women are lucky and have zero symptoms from the start. I feel your pain though cos I've really felt the anxiety building with just a week to go til my scan. Just trying really hard to eat some healthy stuff even if I don't feel like it (although all I could face this morning was crumpets randomly🤣🤣), and just look after myself a bit - and also step away from googling everything and over analysing every symptoms,easier said than done though! I promise you've got this, glad you've enjoyed your lovely trip and just try and flip that mindset- rather than feeling super anxious, feel excited! you're pregnant and you're gonna see your little baby that's so so amazing 🤩😍 hope that helps sweet x

Also need to try my best acting skills tomorrow as I'm taking my lovely mother in law out and then cooking dinner for us all... must pretend I'm not feleing as sick as a dog 😅🤢

@cbear1989 Im right there with you with the nausea 😩🤮 It’s impossible to brush my teeth in the morning without gagging, and all day nausea and some random gags without actually vomiting, throughout the day. Like you said whilst I’m eating it’s okay, manageable, but I don’t fancy anything at all. I’m a big food lover and would get excited for dinner every night, looking for inspiration. But now… I’m just trying to think of something that doesn’t make me gag 😂 Potato has been my friend lately, I think it’s because it doesn’t really have a flavor and I read that it has B6 which helps with nausea 👍🏻 Try not to worry about the spotting, they say it’s normal in the first trimester, baby is getting comfy! 🥰 Roll on Tuesday!!

Then just weird cramps on and off.

I feel like I have a UTI. In WFH tomorrow so I will be on to the doctors first thing. Quiet bad back ache also

I've had to do sample and then doctors will call me this afternoon.

I did another clear blue and got my 3+.

Don't really have any symptoms nausea etc anymore. So I'm not sure what's going on. My scan is not until next Friday. However I am getting a BETA Friday at my GPs. Xx

That looks reassuring that you've had that on a digital this morning though !
Hopefully everything is fine and it's something totally unrelated like a UTI or something 😌 glad you're getting beta's done Friday !! Don't worry about symptoms as that's what I was worrying about and the other ladies reassured me this is totally normal as not one person is the same ! 💗

@Natasha90 Haha 😂 I’m not feeling like shopping for baby stuff just yet, but I can actually look at the shop window and not feel sad anymore!
Ive been watching One Born Every Minute, which I’m not sure is a good or bad thing. This is my first pregnancy, has anyone had a baby before? Like actually given birth? It looks… intense. 🫣😂

Nooo !! However it may be good to watch it to prepare you for all scenarios 🤣🤣 my sister had a baby a couple of years ago, and I will never forget the look on her face when she was walking down the drive with him the morning after - blimey she looked well and truly knackered ! But she said he is worth everything she went through, she had quite a traumatic birth so said she doesn't want anymore children but always says not to be worried as it's all worth it in the end 😊 my cousin has just had one 2 weeks ago as well & she had a very normal easy birth ! So no two people are the same 💗 but as we've gone through this journey I think we will all feel a sense of wow ! This is really it - our baby is coming and is worth every ounce of pain and emotion 😀 however I do try not to think about it too much 🤣🤣🤣

Noooo never had a child. Not brave enough to watch that just yet 😬😬
