TWW Fresh Embryo Transfer Symptoms

LimeTurtle · 17/09/2024 13:43

Hi everyone !

I am currently 5 days past a 5 day fresh embryo transfer. I've had slight cramping and lower back pain since day 1 as well as very vivid dreams.
Could these be symptoms that the embryo has implanted ? Or just a side effect of my progesterone pessaries.

We have male infertility factor and my AMH levels and lining were good when I had the transfer. My period is due a week today so I'm now worrying it's just my period coming early before my official test day which would be odd as I'm very regular!
:(

Just feeling a little lonely in this two week wait as I've never wanted something so much !
Any success stories with similar symptoms would be great ?

Thank you in advance 😊

Also @LimeTurtle great shout on the shifts with hubby, it's been a lifesaver for us too!!

Morning lovelies,

I am on cloud 9 still, literally in love with my whole
life. I love my baby so so so much. I’ve already my husband several times how lucky he is we have to battle IVF. I could have 10 more.

When I had my C - section 5 days ago, the surgeon come round and mentioned they found lots of endo 😵‍💫 now I have been checked for this a few times so makes no sense……

first 2 nights he slept like a dream up every 3 hours, Sunday night he was up from 11pm - 5am so unsettled slept on my chest (up right on the sofa ) for 2 hours.

last night he woke up at 1 and 5ish. I use the love to dream swaddle. He loves it.

he really can not stand getting undressed 😂😂… like his being murdered.
Saturday when I had midwife check she said he was slight jaundice…. I have my day 5 today and having my dressing off . Not looking forward to that.

Natasha90 · 25/06/2025 22:07

How is everyone doing?

I Am obsessed with my boy, his 4 weeks tomorrow his finishing 4oz bottles each time every 2.5 - 3 hours…… ??

LimeTurtle · 26/06/2025 10:03

So glad you're doing well and he's feeding so well !

I have to agree I am also obsessed, aren't they just amazing. She's really alert now and having a really good nosey around in her wake windows ! I've really settled into a nice routine as well with her, even took her for her first seaside trip (yes she slept in the pram the whole time🤣) but meant I managed to enjoy a nice seaside ice cream !
We have just started to give her some infacol before feeds as she was struggling with colic and getting her wind stuck and she seems so much happier now 😍

C-section scar is healing well one side, but had to go to the doctors yesterday for them to put another dressing on it as I've got a stitch that doesn't want to dissolve !

the hubby has 4 days off now so we are going to enjoy some time together as a little family which will be lovely.

how are all of you ? Is everyone doing okay? Xx

Hi ladies! I’m glad to hear that you’re both doing well 💕
We've been up and down. First baby had to be taken back into hospital for 2 days with high bilirubin levels and extreme dehydration. It was awful 😞 she dropped so much weight and has struggled to gain it back, but now with the help of a bit of formula with every feeding session to help bulk her up we’re now at 4kg! I’m happy because she is looking good and is growing at her own pace but then I think that some babies are literally born bigger than that and she’s now 6 weeks old 🩷
Then my husband finally had the call from the hospital for his spinal surgery. Baby was 3 weeks old and the hospital is almost 2hrs away and wouldn’t let her stay overnight. So my mum helped me and we stayed in a hotel nearby and visitors during the day to help him. Honestly having a baby and a recovering man is hard work. He can’t lift anything and can only hold her when he’s sat down and even then only for 10 mins.
Then, I got a subpoena to go to court 3 days after my due date charged with criminal charges, which they couldn’t tell me what it was(!) so off I went waddling with my stitches to court to find out that someone has stolen my identity and has been scamming people for money with it! When it rains it pours eh? But then I look at the little face staring back at me with those big eyes and everything is right in the world 💕💕
The thing that surprised me most is the healing process. I’ve been lucky I think, I feel good. Stitched healed quickly and my body feels fairly strong 💪 I’ve got my last midwife appointment next week to sign me off so we’ll see what she says!
How are we handling the nights? Do you wake them up to feed every few hours or let them sleep through? The pediatrician said due to her being so tiny I had to wake her up, 10 days ago she was only just 3kg and had to eat regularly to gain weight. But it’d be nice to sleep 4 hours straight sometime soon 😂🫣

Hey girlie's!

Glad to hear you're all doing okay and i agree, im utterly obsessed too! Little man is 8 weeks old today and doing really well. He was already 5.5kg at his 6 week health visitor appointment so hes a proper little chunky monkey but hes super cute.

we've struggled a bit with his wind and he's in a lot of discomfort @LimeTurtle we tried Infacol too which worked for a few days but we found it gave him more bum wind and he didn't like it that much,we are using Dentinox now which bless him he absolutely hates but it does bring the burps up. Not sure what you're using too but we switched him from cow & gate to kendamil 2 weeks ago and hes sooo much better on kendamil, much less wind, burps really well and pooing once or twice a day rather than once every 2 days prior to switching him. I'm expressing alongside formula but this seems a lot kinder on his belly.

@Kaybee1989 oh my gosh you poor thing that all sounds so stressful! I had an awful time when he was born with his infection stuck in hospital for 3 nights before we could take him home so I know its not fun being in there with a newborn, poor little sausage!!! So glad to hear she's doing so much better.

Must admit im struggling a bit with the night sleeps, little man only seems to sleep for short stints of anything from 30-60 mins, he will generally stay down for 3 hour blocks before he wants feeding but he might stir and have wind or need a cuddle. It feels hard to imagine him going for longer stretches but I hope it starts to happen as he gets closer to 3 months but we are plodding on. Luckily I have a fab husband who is still doing a shift himself even with going to work. I'm not waking him up to feed though, when he was a teeny tiny newborn we were more religious with feeds every 2 hours as he was premmie but now hes putting on lots of weight and has lots of wet nappies so being more guided by him. Trouble is he does his hunger cues even when hes not hungry so hes tricky to read 😅😅

Any tips for more nighttime zzzzz's??😆😴

LimeTurtle · 18/07/2025 18:26

So.. how is everyone doing ?

@LimeTurtle Heyyy!! All good here, more or less! Things seem to be getting easier-ish. It’s feels like whenever I feel like I’m winning, the game changes 😂 Baby girl is 9 weeks now and has finally caught up on her weight. She’s still a small girl but I’m not a very big person either (5ft2in) but she’s in a good percentile now. She’s started smiling at us about a week ago which is just magical 😍😍 Sleep is becoming a little easier, she sleeps from 10pm until 4am and then about 5:30am until 8am depending on the day. That I can deal with 🤗 Husband is doing okay, his surgery was a success but he’s got a long road to go and he’s a very active inpatient man, so send me good, calming vibes please 🙏🏻 How’s things with you?
@cbear1989 @Natasha90 Looking forward to hearing from you both too, hope you’re both well 💕

LimeTurtle · 30/07/2025 02:05

Hey everyone !!!

hope you're all well ?

Currently sat up snuggling little one as she had her 8 week vaccines yesterday. She seems okay just very sleepy and a few tears here & there. She's had a high temp and already had her 3 doses of calpol so feel like I'm watching her like a hawk 🤣

how did everyone else's little ones get on with theirs ? (If they had them) I was expecting her to vomit & have bad stomach after the rotavirus one but she hasn't yet ? She's drinking as normal too pretty much 😌Did any of your little ones not get sick afterwards ?

OP posts:
Kaybee1989 · 30/07/2025 02:26

@LimeTurtle Ohh poor little one, they’re so brave with the vaccines ❤️‍🩹 My girl had a temperature about 2 hours after the jabs. We gave her the baby paracetamol syrup and her temp came down about 30 mins later and stayed down. The Dr did warn us that it could last for up to 5 days but it didn’t spike again after that one time the day of the jabs. She said that it’s important that the fever doesn’t go
over 38ºc. Baby had sore legs for the day, so when she’d finished having a nap we gave her a bath and soaked her legs and she seemed to feel some relief! It was so hard watching her get so upset and not be able to do anything because it’s ’for their own good’ Our osteopath said to look out for if she cries so hard that she stops taking a breath and goes red like a cherry, not to panic and to blow in her face. It’s like a reset button and makes sure she doesn’t go without oxygen for too long, Just incase it happens to you!
The only thing I have noticed, and maybe it’s a coincidence, but since the jabs she wants to be with me 24/7, i put her in her car seat and she cries the house down, I go for a shower and she stays in her daddy’s arms… nope. I put her in her pram to go to the supermarket… it’s as if I’ve never fed her in her life. She wants to be held and to have a boob in her mouth 🫣🫩 I’m hoping that it’s a phase and it’ll pass because it’s getting hard to go anywhere.
Hows she growing? We’ve grown out of newborn (50) and are nearly out of (56) heading into (60) soon. I’ve recently found Vinted, and that’s where you’ll find me in the early hours of the morning feeds, browsing baby clothes etc on Vinted, trying to stay awake 😂 She’ll be 11 weeks on Thursday 💕💕

LimeTurtle · 30/07/2025 03:05

Ah ! Thank you for getting back to me so quick ! I'm glad she coped quite well with them, apart from the clingyness haha ! I think I was worrying she was going to start vomiting and get dehydrated plus the fact I'm scared to death of vomit 🤣 and have been worried about me catching the rotavirus one as it's a live vaccine.

So just been counting down the hours and telling myself she's been fine so far in that way. Her temp is still a little high at the moment so I bought her downstairs to cool down, she's fast asleep 💗 she hasn't wanted to be put down since she's had them today, I went for a wee earlier and she screamed as if I'd starved her 🤣

it's weird you saying that ! I dropped 2 vinted parcels off this morning, she's grown out of newborn and her 0-3 clothes are getting on the tighter side now too ! Unbelievable how fast they grow isn't it 🥲😢

cbear1989 · 30/07/2025 03:48

🤣🤣 Love how we're all justvupat this ungodly hour!!

@LimeTurtle ive got little man's 12 week jabs next week already which has come around quick! He was fine after his 8 week ones though, he didn't even get a temp tbh, plus when he had his it @was during all of that really warm weather we had so I was extra paranoid! He was maybe a little snoozier but still his little smiley self. He cried as they were done but was fine.... i think I cried more than him😅😅

He's doing really well thought, such a chatty smiley little boy. Getting really big too, he almost weighs 7kg already and had been in 3-6m clothes for a few weeks now🤣😍 there's so many 0-3 outfits that I've gone to put him in and thought nope, missed my opportunity with that one !

Sorry ive been quiet! Kept meaning to reply but these little babies are very demanding so hes usually needed me or distracted me🤣🥰

Hello,

how are you doing?

we are really well thanks completely and utterly obsessed it’s just going so fast.

luckiest mumma in the world.

LimeTurtle · 08/09/2025 22:02

I 100% agree. The thought of having to leave her and go back to work is terrifying. Even though I'm not going back until next May it's going so fast. I could stay in the baby bubble forever 🥹 we've started hearing her laugh now and it's the most adorable thing I've ever heard. They're such precious little things 💗

I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying it too !

I have to go back in February 😢 I actually have his nursery show round on Friday.

I have our first baby class booked for Thursday, i miss the newborn nights so so much. Xx

LimeTurtle · 08/09/2025 22:07

So crazy 😢 oh 100% she loves a cuddle and loves to have my hand on her tummy when she naps in the day but she doesn't contact nap as much anymore like she used too & that makes me so sad. They grow way too fast ! Xx

Kaybee1989 · 09/09/2025 14:33

Heyy!! How things? 😃 Ohhh being a mum is a rollercoaster that I don’t want to get off 🥰 but sometimes… flippin heck it’s hard! We are 17 weeks old on Thursday 🥹 Too fast, please slow down. WOW you guys get a lot of maternity leave that’s amazing. I’m well jealous, I’m going back to work next Friday, wish me luck. Ugh. She’ll be staying with my mum which gives me so much joy and peace of mind. It’ll be good for both of us, which is what I keep telling myself 🫣😂
She now weighs 6.3kg and has moved into a size 65cm clothes… I can finally have fun with the outfits haha!
How are your partners/husbands doing with baby? Mine still hasn’t found his groove yet, I’m guessing he’ll find it easier when she can actually tell him what she needs, and he doesn’t need to play the crying guessing game 🤷🏼‍♀️
Aww it’s so nice to hear from you ladies, after all we’ve been through since those dreaded two weeks waiting.

LimeTurtle · 09/09/2025 20:40

Things are good ! Our little chunk weights 14lbs ! She's got her first little sniffles this week but has taken it like a champ. We've just been to Majorca on holiday & it was so lovely to get away with her for a week she just loved soaking it all in she's like a sponge. She's growing too quick for me, she wants to sit up now and get bored easily so lots of singing and reading the same books over and over 😂 I've been really lucky & hubby is loving every second and helping wherever & whenever I need. I think he will struggle more when she's older and running us ragged haha ! However, I know my sisters boyfriend found it really hard with their newborn I think like you said he didn't know what to do when he cried or anything. But he's 3 years old now and they're always play fighting and having a great time. I think it's harder for husbands to adjust as they don't feel that maternal bond that we maybe all do😌 I also think they look at them and don't want to break them 🤣 your hubby will find his groove, don't worry about that at all ❤️ we are all here to talk too as well ! Xx

My little girl is 5 months today too ! She can sit on her own for about 2 seconds too and has started rolling when she feels like it 🤣 she's snoring right next to me right now & it's the loveliest feeling in the world☺️ glad you're loving every second xx

Kaybee1989 · 29/10/2025 20:26

My little girl is 5 and a half months today! And it’s gone too fast 🥹 She’s belly laughing now and it’s the sweetest thing 💓 How can someone so small make your heart so big?!
She doesn’t like tummy time but loves to be over my shoulder having a nosey around, blows raspberries all day long, but still has to fall asleep in arms 🫣 I’m hoping she’ll grow out of it. If anyone’s got any tips please let me know… If I pop her down anywhere awake or drowsy she stays awake until she’s overtired and cranky crying, or if I put her down already asleep then she wakes up as soon as her tush hits the cot! She sleeps fairly well at night in her cot, waking up once for a snack and then back off to sleep quickly so that’s pretty good 😊 I never knew I could function on such little, broken sleep! 😂

Natasha90 · 04/11/2025 20:26

I always said one and done I’m 35 my husband is nearly 40 now. I’m soooo broody.

he sits up well and just staring to army crawl.

i get emotional every day just thinking of our first night in hospital together x

Kaybee1989 · 05/11/2025 13:26

@Natasha90 Awww how sweet! 🥰 The time has flown by thinking back to the first night in hospital, the newborn scrunch (when did that stop btw?!), their tiny little cries which are now replaced with blowing raspberries at 3am 🫣😂 having to loosen the straps of the baby harness because she’s bigger now 🥹 and fighting to put a long sleeve pajama on so she can carry on sucking her hand ☺️
My hat goes of to any of you that have another one, they’re beautiful but my oh my hard work & time consuming sometimes 💓
