TWW Fresh Embryo Transfer Symptoms

LimeTurtle · 17/09/2024 13:43

Hi everyone !

I am currently 5 days past a 5 day fresh embryo transfer. I've had slight cramping and lower back pain since day 1 as well as very vivid dreams.
Could these be symptoms that the embryo has implanted ? Or just a side effect of my progesterone pessaries.

We have male infertility factor and my AMH levels and lining were good when I had the transfer. My period is due a week today so I'm now worrying it's just my period coming early before my official test day which would be odd as I'm very regular!
:(

Just feeling a little lonely in this two week wait as I've never wanted something so much !
Any success stories with similar symptoms would be great ?

Thank you in advance 😊

@Natasha90 I'm finding out today! providing bubs isn't being stubborn of course 😂😂 very excited.

Don't apologise though, it's normal to feel overwhelmed, how are you doing?

How are you all doing ? Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. We found out the gender on Christmas Day and it was a wonderful surprise 🥺 we asked all our out family for their guesses and all of them guessed Boy ! So they were all proved wrong when we found out it's a little girl on the way 💗 Did you find out @cbear1989 ?

Nerves have settled a little for me now, trying not to get into my head that I haven't felt any flutters or anything yet as I'm 18 weeks today. But know this can differ for everyone on their first pregnancy 😌

@HKAG
How are you doing as well ? 😌 how are you finding your journey ? Xx

@LimeTurtle Ohhh congratulations! That’s such lovely news 🩷 I’m not feeling movement yet either but not too worried about it, they say upto 24 weeks is normal.
Merry Christmas all!

cbear1989 · 29/12/2024 10:39

@LimeTurtle ah congratulations on your little princess! We found out ourselves a couple of weeks ago but told my parents on Christmas day, that we are having a little boy, so exciting!!!

I keep thinking did i maybe feel something but it's probably just wishful thinking, I agree it's very very early still, certainly no reason to be worried for sure, it'll come!

It may also be a little of excess christmas period weight gain but my bump is really bumping now haha although I think I'm gonna end up with quite a big baby especially now I know he's a boy (my hubby was 10 pounds, eek🤣), anyone else feeling very pregnant?? 🤣🤣

Hope everyone is well and had a lovely christmas! xxx

I've officially hit the halfway mark☺️ and feeling so over the moon.

Still haven't felt any kicks yet, think I've felt a few flutters here & there which is nice. But can't wait to be feeling real movement 🥺 telling myself it's normal with my first one to feel them this late.

Got my 21 week scan this Friday eeekkk ! Can't wait to see her wriggling around again 😅

Kaybee1989 · 12/01/2025 17:02

Don’t worry, you’ll feel her soon enough 🥰 Do you know where your placenta is? Incase it’s at the front and is cushioning any movements.
I started feeling proper kicks and movement at about 19 weeks and it’s just getting stronger and more often. It’s so lovely and reassuring!
I had my morphology scan on Wednesday and everything looks good which is a relief. We’ve still managed to not find out the sex of the baby, but it’s been really tempting 😂
My nausea has gone completely now, just the odd food aversion here and there, but I’m tired most of the time. How’s everyone else feeling?
💖

Natasha90 · 12/01/2025 19:59

Hey,
Im having a baby boy, will be 20 weeks Thursday and have my next scan on Friday.

Have brought a few bits and bobs what's everyone's thoughts on prams? Xx

cbear1989 · 13/01/2025 13:36

I was 20 weeks on Saturday and had our scan last week, everything looking good for our lil boyo👶💙

Feeling a bit tired but I had that awful winter flu so just starting to recover from that. I've had 3 colds since being preggars so think little man is stealing my entire immune system 🤣🤣 he's worthit though!

We started looking at prams and travel systems etc this weekend too, felt so overwhelmed though, theres so much stuff out there!!

Kaybee1989 · 13/01/2025 19:30

@Natasha90 Im not sure if there’s the same brands etc in the UK as in the rest of Europe but we’ve decided to go for the Cybex Balios S Lux pram. It has the bassinet and converts into a stroller. It’s nice and compact, lightweight, good ventilation (baby is due beginning of our summer), folds down with one hand but has a decent suspension system and good wheels. Seems to be the best fit for us.
@LimeTurtle @cbear1989 I’m not sure on the cot, whether to get one that converts into a mini bed later on or not. What are your thoughts?

We managed to get a bargain from smyths toys on a pram ! They might still have the sale on now 💗 your pram sounds very similar to ours!

! It's got the carry cot that turns into a toddler seat so you don't have to worry about storing the carry cot somewhere as I believe they only use them for up to 6 months ! We got all the car seat & isofix included too for about £300. I wanted to wait until I was further along but couldn't resist the deal.
It feels really light to push & very sturdy ! We are off to Majorca in August for my mums 50th, so will need to take the pram so said for that money it doesn't matter if it's get thrown about on the plane and scratched a little😌

We were looking at cots last night as decorating the nursery slowly. I think we are going to get a cot that turns into a cot/day bed at a later date for toddlers. As we said in the long run it'll save us some pennies 💗 plus we have space for it on one wall so said we might as well !

Isn't it all so surreal 🥺

Hi @LimeTurtle 😊

I'm doing good thanks, how are you and bump? I know it's so wild isn't it, now end of May really doesn't sound that far away... little man is kicking me loads now, quite high up above my belly button too, it's so funny to me the thought of him in there moving around!

Feeling quite organised though, should be getting his cot and dresser delivered in the next few days so we can start getting his room in order. He's already been spoilt with goodies and clothes from friends and family which is cute. Have got a 4d scan soon which was a lovely christmas present and then my baby shower next month so lots of exciting stuff going on!

How's everyone else getting on? xx

Kaybee1989 · 05/02/2025 13:33

@LimeTurtle
All good here! Now at 24w+4 I just can’t believe it 🥰 It was an overwhelming feeling reaching 24 weeks and reading about viability etc. Baby is kicking like it’s in the Judo Olympics, which is comforting. Nausea is a thing of the past! 🥳🥳
I had the O’Sullivan test yesterday to test for gestational diabetes and I’ll get the results in about 2 weeks from the midwife. It’s not as bad as it’s hyped up to be 😉
We’ve started getting baby’s room ready little by little and making a baby registry on Amazon too. I’ll start antenatal classes on 3rd March, we’ll see what that’s like…
How’re you doing?

Ah🥹 that is so lovely ! Bump is growing day be day and I'm really showing ! I'm starting to figure out her little pattern now too, she seems to have 2 quiet days every week which freaks me out 🤣 but then she starts wriggling again, enough so my husband can feel her now too. My mum & dad managed to feel her last night which was lovely 🥹 24 weeks on Saturday and it's flying !

I'm not as organised as you 🤣 we have the nursery all decorated now ! And next is our bedroom, we have ordered new carpets for upstairs in March so I've planned a trip to Ikea in March to get wardrobe, cot and drawers for baby girl, I so can't wait ! Keep thinking I'm leaving everything to last minute but also forgetting I have ages left to go even though it's zooming by 😅

I've got all my lists ready with everything else I need to buy, think I'll relax more after nursery is totally complete ! I have a nice collection of clothes now too, I'm waiting for my baby shower before buying anything else 😌 mine is April 12th so I'll be 33 weeks by then 🤣

Hope you have a great baby shower 🩵

@Kaybee1989

It's such a surreal feeling isn't it when they kick 🥹 and it does fill you with so much reassurance ! I'm glad the diabetes test wasn't as bad as you thought ! I'm glad they're so active for you ! Do you find you keep going to stand in the nursery and just staring at it ? 🤣

I have my next midwife appointment on Tuesday, this is only my 2nd one so will be nice to see them again ! 😌 I haven't booked another scan yet I was debating a private one 🤣 but I've been referred for one at 28 weeks to check my placenta is far enough away or something !

I've had a stinking cold as well so happy I'm now over that 😅 you really notice how much your immune system takes a knock being pregnant 🤣 but I've really relaxed and am trying to enjoy every moment at the minute ❤️

@Kaybee1989 I've got to do the glucose test at the end of the month too which I'm not looking forward to but least then it's done! fun fun! I've been looking into antenatal classes too, we've got a baby first aid booked in for March and talking our parents too which is nice!

@LimeTurtle don't worry you sound pretty organised to me, I'm exactly the same as you ill be 24 weeks on Saturday! We have got ages still, although you are right it'll fly by, it's mad that we are all actually so close to the third trimester too!

Aww thank you! I did my shower for mid March time before I'm too humongous 🤣🤣 am so looking forward to it though!

Also my little bubs seems to have the odd quiet day too so I know how you feel! As long as you feel them that day though then I'm sure they're fine, just having a rest probably after a day of kicking and jabbing us all like crazy 🤣🤦‍♀️

Nice to hear from you all though, and so glad you're all getting on so well you! So exciting 🥰😍

Kaybee1989 · 23/02/2025 17:05

Hi everyone! @LimeTurtle @cbear1989 @Natasha90 How’s things?
I got my glucose test results back and all is good 👍🏻 Bump is growing super fast and the time is flying by! I was having a moment of insecurity with the new baby body, lots of my clothes don’t fit anymore and I said to my husband, “I feel like a Teletubbie” he replied, “Which one?” 🫣 The man is very brave, or stupid, or both 😂
I hope everyone is doing well and babies are cooking nicely 💖

Natasha90 · 23/02/2025 19:46

Hello @Kaybee1989 all good my end. I have my glucose test 12th March

Getting so round now and can not wait to meet my boy.

Any one had any birth plan thoughts??
Has your midwife said anything different because we are IVF?

cbear1989 · 24/02/2025 08:12

Morning!!

Not too bad here, crazy that we are almost at that last trimester, just getting a bit tired in the day again, getting little bursts of nighttime heartburn sometimes, and can't actually remember the last time I slept through the entire night but it's all worthit and im having a pretty good pregnancy really so I can't complain!

@Kaybee1989 get yourself some cheap maternity stuff, so much comfier!! And your hubby is very brave🤣🤣 how did you find the glucose test? I've got it Wednesday and am mostly worried about not being able to eat anything til like 11am🤣 that's just cruelty to a pregnant woman!! was the drink really gross?

@Natasha90 I have consultant lead care as bubs is an ivf baby, so am a little more closely monitored but tbh I don't have an appointment them til early April which is only 1-2 months before my due date. However birth wise i think I've already decided I want to do an electives c section. My little man has been measuring very big (am intrigued for my GD test but tbh I think it's my hubby's genetics - he and his siblings were over 10 pounds, he was actually 10 pounds,5... so I think it's just his genes that I'm having a big baby), so i just don't wanna put myself through an awful experience trying to go natural if he's big. Spoke to the midwife about it last time and she agreed, didn't seem like I'd have to much of a fight for that tbh she just said so talk to the consultant when I see them and they'll probs book me jn as he might be earlier than his due date depending on his growth over the last couple of months. Have you had any thoughts yet?

xx

LimeTurtle · 24/02/2025 08:23

Good morning everyone !

Lovely to hear from you all & that you're all getting on so well 😌

@Kaybee1989 I have been living in leggings & and nothing else 🤣 so I know the feeling, my stomach is feeling so tight and heavy - but I secretly love it ! Think my belly button is just about to pop 🤣😅 still feeling some lovely kicks too which is always reassuring !

@cbear1989 glad to hear you're getting on so well to ! I also can't remember the last time I had a decent nights sleep, apart from one night last week my husband said I was snoring like a warthog which he found very amusing ! Luckily he didn't wake me as said he knew I'd been tossing and turning and said I looked peaceful 🤣

@Natasha90 I also have my glucose test the same day as you ! I've been thinking my birth plan through as well as I have a consultant appointment Wednesday. I think I'm going to go for an elective c-section, more for my peace of mind, I know the recovery is a lot harder. But I'm sure you'll all agree when I say these little babies are our miracles 😍 I just want to go into hospital with peace of mind that (hopefully) I don't have a traumatic birth and can know I'm going in and the baby will be delivered safely within minutes. You hear so many horror stories now about natural labour and then needing emergency c-sections and I just want to enjoy the experience as much as I can. My cousin had an emergency c-section and said she'd opt for one every time after her experience, but obviously everybody is different.

They also think I have tachycardia, as my sister has it too. So I'm not sure if they'll opt for c section anyway due to having a really high resting heart rate when not doing anything ! Despite going through labour 🤣 I really think it's each individuals preference, as they experience really is so different for each person ! And it's got to be what you think is best for you 😍 I've been really torn with the decision myself xx

@cbear1989 Sorry I didn’t see your message earlier. I hope you managed okay yesterday. With my glucose test I was allowed to eat before drinking the liquid. It had to be low sugar, high protein & some fat. So I had a scrambled egg and a little olive oil drizzled on it. The drink itself wasn’t too bad. Everyone recommended drinking it cold and it was alright… I’ve had worse cough medicines 🫣
@LimeTurtle How did you get on with the glucose test? Did you manage alright? Yes, they are our little miracles 💕
@Natasha90 I’ve only recently read online that in USA they recommend induction at 39 weeks if it’s IVF but my midwife hasn’t mentioned it at all. My Birth Plan is… get through it. 😂It’s the one thing I can’t control (which I struggle with) so I’m not going to plan anything. In my country they don’t allow elective c-sections so that’s off the table. They don’t have water births, or gas and air, pray for me ladies 🤭😂 They do have epidurals so that’s something lol. They allow one person to accompany you in the delivery room, so my husband will be there with me. I’m not too worried about birth to be honest, I’m in the best place with qualified people to help me and it’s literally the most natural thing in the world. My body was made for this! It worries me more the after bit. Bringing a little life home and not having the foggiest what to do. I start antenatal classes Monday so I’m hoping they’ll give us an idea of what to expect.

Its amazing that we’ve all gotten so far after the struggles we’ve been through. I remember thinking how daunting IVF sounded in the beginning and look at us now! Planning birth and rubbing baby bumps 🥰

LimeTurtle · 27/02/2025 15:27

@Kaybee1989 lovely to hear the glucose test wasn't as bad as expected !!

I don't have mine until March 12th😌 I did have a consultant appointment yesterday and she was lovely ! They have sent off my urine as they said my protein & white blood count are slightly high so want to check I don't have an infection😢 I feel totally fine so I'm hoping it's nothing ! Plus I go away to Paris (I'm driving) on a girls trip next Tuesday so hoping I get my results before then incase I need antibiotics 🤞🏻

I've loved having this forum ! It's been so helpful and gives me comfort knowing we are all in the same boat 😊 like you said it is slightly daunting we will soon have the tiny humans to look after 🥹 eeeekkk !!

@Kaybee1989

Hey ! Hope you're okay, just a bit of advice. Any chance after your glucose test baby was really quiet ? I've had mine this morning and I now haven't really felt her move all day.

I had a midwife appointment yesterday and heard her heartbeat and she was totally fine 😍

But I'm just worrying a little now as it's not like her, I just thought it's a coincidence that I've had that glucose test today and now she's quiet.

So just wanted your opinion ?

Thank you ☺️

OP posts:
cbear1989 · 12/03/2025 21:58

Hey @LimeTurtle

I know this one wasn't for me but didn't want to go to bed thinking of you worrying!

I didn't find that my little man was particularly quiet after my glucose test if im honest but there were days where he was a bit quieter which did freak me out. I think now that he's so big (and measuring big) im constantly feeling him now that I'm past 28 weeks but a couple of weeks ago I def had days where I was tempted to call the ward.

Have you felt her move at all today? if you have i know it's easy to say buy try not to worry, if you literally haven't felt her once all day then just call the ward. Sometimes it can be a bit less tomorrow so it might be different tomorrow. If you're really worried though just call them tonight, or in the morning and go and get checked - just for your peace of mind! Am sure everything is fine but they encourage you to go in and get checked if you're worried so just do what feels right. Hope you're okay! x

LimeTurtle · 12/03/2025 22:04

@cbear1989

Hi !! No your advice is totally welcome too ! I tried to see if you had yours yet 🤣 thought it was the end of this month for some reason.

That's good to know, my husbands away with work tonight so that doesn't help 🤣 but he's back in the morning.

I have felt her today, just only tiny little pulses rather than her normal self but like you said because I have felt her it's made me tell myself she's fine 🤣 especially as I only saw the midwife yesterday ! She was saying she's not sure if I have anterior placenta now too so I did think it could be that.

I think I'll keep my eye on it tonight, as she usually wakes me up about 2am kicking me 🤣 then if no changes by the morning I'll call the ward for peace of mind. Thank you for getting back to me !

OP posts:
cbear1989 · 12/03/2025 22:17

@LimeTurtle any time, the worry is real I've defo had days like that myself and you can't help but stress about it! Just look at it as a good sign though if you have felt her, albeit a little lighter, but 100% call them tonight or tomorrow morning if you're genuinely worried. A lot of the time I find i get even more movement when I lie down to go to bed so you might find you get that now, let us know how you get on in the morning and as I say, just do what feels right!

My glucose test results were negative thankfully, I just have a big baby (got sent for a growth scan last week!), but he's healthy and happy in there so they're just keeping an eye on it. Defo feeling like everything is a struggle now that I've hit third trimester though! Hope everyone is doing good with their bumps xxx
