I'm due to commence IVF next month (injections to start 2nd October).
Thought I'd start a group for anyone going through the same thing at the same time to support each other ☺️

@AnonS yeah my first collection so I’m in the complete unknown really which I’m not sure is a good or a bad thing 😂

hoping for a fresh transfer 🤞🏻but is high chance of OHSS so least I know that might have to do a freeze all if we get any eggs & blasts.

I started jabs yesterday, so far all good. I'm just so inpatient waiting around for the next steps. It seems so odd that I'm excited to have an uncomfortable medical procedure to extract eggs from my ovaries 😂

Hi all. The nerves are kicking in. Collecting meds on Monday and starting injections on Tuesday. First scan 24th of October to see how things are going.

we went out for a meal last night and I have ended up with food poisoning been very well all night. Now I’m panicking that it might be my stims causing this or if I have food poisoning then it’s going to impacts. I’m pretty sure must be the food from the restaurant.

Just typical I feel horrendous though just absolutely typical!

I find the first week ok but I start to fall part from about 7dp5dt @TallGirlProblems. However I am hopeful it won't be too bad as I have a really busy week so hopefully will be nicely distracted.

yes, I am potentially due collection Friday they have said. I was hoping for fresh transfer but it’s looking like might have to do a freeze all due to potential risk of OHSS. Have another scan today so should know more.

Good news is must have been something I ate as it’s passed now. 🤞🏻

I did my first injection this morning. It didn’t hurt despite the needle needing to go in all the way. My scan is a week today. This feels so bizarre. Hope all of your transfers go well. The TWW must be brutal in ivf.

How did your scan go, @Purpleflowers17? I had my last ultrasound this morning, egg collection is going ahead on Wednesday! It's the 1st cycle of our duo stim so there won't be a transfer for a while which is a shame in a way...

@BelleCrescent went really well. Surprised at the amount of growth in just 48 hours. It’s looking like transfer might be Thursday. I have another scan tomorrow and bloods. It’s my DH birthday on Thursday!

Am trying not to get too hopeful but my heart rate has risen over the last two days which was my first sign of pregnancy with my DS. Could be a complete fluke though.

I defiantly wrote transfer Thursday, egg collection will be Thursday & transfer next week Tuesday at present. Another scan this morning so should know more 🤞🏻

Ah good luck for egg collection @Purpleflowers17! How many follicles did you have at your last scan?

Had my egg retrieval yesterday (only 5 eggs, from 6 follicles) 🙁
Had the call this morning that 4 have fertilised.
I won't have any more updates until my transfer appointment on Saturday.
This is going to be the LONGEST week EVER 😫

Oh gosh that is a long wait @spamOFtheDAY. Fingers crossed you get a good result on Saturday.

Follicles on this morning scan were 12 above 18mm so apparently they say likely to be mature. Some still might catch up between now and collection she said. They will decide whether to trigger tonight or tomorrow but likely tonight alongside maybe a last stim as well.

@Hopingforno2in2024 sounds promising I know couple people that’s sign was HR increasing.

A perfect number of follicles @Purpleflowers17! My clinic said the ideal is 10-14.

Started the cetrotide injections today. This one is very itchy, the overleaf has been fine.

Little in the way of any physical symptoms yet, I feel a sensation of heaviness or fullness if I stand or roll over too quickly but it's fairly minor. My mood is absolutely trash though.

I'm a little worried i started everything too soon. I've got my scan on Thursday to see how follicles etc getting on, but I've only just finished my period today properly. I'll be no where near ovulation by Thursday. My understanding is that they want to do egg retrieval just before ovulation?
