I'm due to commence IVF next month (injections to start 2nd October).
Thought I'd start a group for anyone going through the same thing at the same time to support each other ☺️

I've just had my second scan this morning and my lining hasn't really changed from my last appt on friday. Its currently only 6.7mm, so we're upping my medication/adding asprin in too. next scan on friday so fingers crossed there's some improvement!

Transfer went well, blastocyst went from a 3bb to a 4bb.

I was told PGT would take 3 weeks and my results were back in a week last time.

I start stims today. I've been up all night with a migraine so I'm dreading the travel. Does anyone else have endo? How do you cope getting to your clinic? I'm currently fetal position in bed with heat pads, cramping, dizzy and nauseous with bowel and bladder symptoms. I need to get 2 buses and 2 trains from 7am.

@AllTheSupplements so sorry to hear how your feeling sounds terrible. Is there anyone that could take you to your appointment so you don’t have to do all that travelling?

Side effects of the progesterone definitely getting me. Am ravenous and exhausted at the same time.

Just had 7 eggs retrieved out of 20 follicles. I'm absolutely devastated and can't stop crying about it. Anyone had success with such low numbers?
It seems like if I'm lucky 5 mature, best case a couple make it to day 5/6 and then who knows if either of those will even be euploid

I'm sorry @naomimn. I have low AMH and got 9 eggs, 8 mature, 5 fertilised and 2 good day 5 blasts (didn't test them though). Some people get hardly any drop off at all so you may be lucky and a decent number make it to day 5!

@naomimn Sorry to hear - I also have a low AMH (and my response to stims wasn't as great as they hoped) so I only got 4 eggs. I was pretty devastated.
But of those, 3 were mature & also fertilised and we got 2 good quality blasts.
So you may still get a good amount from your 7. I'll have my fingers crossed for you over the next few days

Sorry to hear, @naomimn , although I don't think 7 is bad but I understand you expected more based on the number of follicles. We had 6 eggs retrieved during our 1st cycle and were told that it's quite a good number. 3 of our eggs fertilised and 2 made it to 5 day blast, both good quality. We didn't do PGT-A testing at the time though. While 7 is not a high number but you never know how they turn out, it could be good news! Fingers crossed and keep us posted!

Fingers crossed for you @naomimn. I have seen stories of people getting over 30 eggs and ending up with one or two blastocysts and people like @Ru19 and @BelleCrescent getting the same result with far fewer eggs. It really is about quality not quantity :)

I had the lurgy last week and am better now but have the residual cough. I have to keep reminding myself that it is physically impossible to cough the blastocyst out 🤣

A little update...
Of the 7 eggs retrieved, 1 was damaged (presumably during egg retrieval), 6 fertilised. Although 1 of the 6 looks like it might have dodgy fertilisation, they said we'll observe.

@Hopingforno2in2024 Haha, I'm pretty sure that won't happen! 😀 I have a cold and a bit of a cough and really panicked that it'd impact the results of this cycle... The nurse during my ultrasound appointment reassured me yesterday that eggs are very resilient and therefore aren't impacted by colds😅

Is anyone having a FET end of next week? Had my day 10 scan today and its the thickest my lining has been, so likely to trigger this weekend. This is my 5th FET. I really didnt think it would go ahead, I have been so ill with a rotten cold for 2 weeks and still have it now, my lining seems to like me being ill, as it is always thicker.I struggle getting beyond 6.5mm usually.

I'm hoping to take my trigger Saturday, retrieval Monday and transfer 🤞 next Saturday
Though i was a bit disappointed yesterday as went for scan at day 8 of stims and they only saw 6 follicles so I'm worried we might not even get to the transfer stage 😕

@AnonS fingers crossed you feel a little better next couple days. A cold shouldn’t impact anything but I know it’s horrible feeling rubbish! I have been ill last few days but my clinic said it’s fine just stick to paracetamol.

Im on day 4 of stims have my 6 day scan on Saturday so hoping it looks how it should 🤞🏻

@spamOFtheDAY All the best for collections, you got this. I am predicting my transfer will fall Friday.

@AnonS I am - I just had my final scan this morning and they've set my transfer date as next Thursday. I was also worried about my lining as we'd been struggling to get it above 7, but it was in a good enough place today which I'm relieved about

Just confirmed I am triggering this evening and transfer for next Friday. Worked out the due date, as we all do, falls smack bang on my birthday, im taking that as a sign😂
@Ru19 we will be a day apart x
