Feeling a bit deflated, had the day 3 call. Out of 8 embryos', only one is good, 7 are 'average', and one is slow. I don't think there really is an average though, think it was just a polite way of meaning poor. She thinks the slow one won't make it to day 5. Out of the 6 average ones some are showing signs of fragmentations so a few of them are not likely to make it. She said it is unlikely the average ones will go from average to good, they are likely to stay average or not make it. Same with the good one, no guarantee the good one will stay good. In some cases, they do 'catch up' and poor/average can become good, but not often.
I asked, if two poor/average ones were to make it, and the good was to stay good, whether the two poor ones could be transferred, and good one frozen, she said yes. I think I'd give that a go, just to give myself an extra short as opposed to just relying on the one good one.
What are everyone else's experiences with eggs retrieved and what made it to day 5?
Part of me thinks the day 3 update is pointless, as everything can change between day 3-5
