I'm due to commence IVF next month (injections to start 2nd October).
Thought I'd start a group for anyone going through the same thing at the same time to support each other ☺️

@Anon645 had been meaning to message you to ask the same. Mine went well - they said the embryo had thawed well and was a 4aa. Really hoping this one sticks!
Did yours all go ok?

My blood test is on the 28th. Going to be a long wait! How about yours? do you think you'll test early?

@Ru19 My clinic doesn't offer blood tests, I just need to take a normal test on day 12, which will be 30th.

It all went well, survived the thaw. Going to try my hardest to keep busy this time. Stuffed my face like an absolute pig today to make me happy 😂

@Vividdreamer88 don't lose hope, my wife is now 11days post 3 day embryo transfer, she started off with very minor twinges and sore nipples, then it all went away & she had no symptoms for days. We started to firmly believe it hadn't worked but then last night she started getting tummy flutters and she has had some pinky discharge this pm and some more flutters. We're allowing ourselves to hope it could be a late implantation seeing as our embryo was only a 3 day. Our OTD is Monday, resisting an early test is a STRUGGLE xx

24 hours until I test. Heart rate has gone down to 60bpm today which I know isn't a real dip but it has upset me. I hate this wait!

I only have 24 follicles and they only have 5 days to grow as the clinic is shut after that. Most are only 10mm or less after over a week so I'm worried it'll be a failed cycle, throwing away another 10k. My eggs are poor quality so I need a lot to find a good one, 24 is low for me, I had more than double that last time to get 2 blasts. I have issues at every stage and was hoping for at least 2 blasts. My mature follicles are 17-19 at trigger and I don't think these will grow up to 9mm in 5 days. What size were your follicles at trigger?

I was unwell at the start of the cycle and I'm not handling it well at all. I can't sleep, I've lost my appetite and feel nauseous and exhausted all the time. This is the last cycle I can do so it's a lot of pressure and feels very stressful.

@AllTheSupplements sorry to hear how you are feeling. Why does your clinic shut in 5 days that’s not stress you need?

What Stims you on? Have your clinic not suggested changing the type or dosage? i know it’s easier said than done but you need to be kind to yourself all the stress won’t be helping and probably causing your illness. Try and do something you enjoy this weekend honestly it’s so difficult it consumes our lives. Thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏻

@AllTheSupplements if your cycle is cancelled because they shut before your body is ready that seems awfully cruel that they wouldn't give you another go. If this is just the way it is ill be asking for higher doses

Had my transfer today! What a surreal way to spend a Saturday morning.... 😮

We had 4 fertilised eggs, 1 wasn't viable.
2 were blasts, but growing a bit slow so they couldn't grade them. But they said slow growth doesn't affect quality....
Another the same but a bit slower.

So I've had TWO transferred (I'm 39 so I think age is a factor).

They're ringing me tomorrow to see if the other one is good enough to freeze.

Not sure how hopeful to be TBH.
They didn't seem too confident at the clinic but that may just be their demeanour 🤷‍♀️

I was in June IVF chat but things didn't work outml but met some fabulous women.
Wanted to join this chat now as I'm on my 2nd round. I'm in the early stages on my first injection and hope to go to second injection on 24th. Egg retrieval will be start of November.
I'm feeling much calmer this time around. Just hoping for the best.

@spamOFtheDAY fingers and toes crossed for you. I had similar with my eggs first go. 2 transferred that were slower.
The wait now is the hardest part for you.

@LiveLaughL0ve @wateringcanface well I’m sorry if I’ve caused any worry there. Just don’t have caffeine from now on and I’m sure it’ll be fine. Or maybe my clinic is just OTT!

@ClaireBear101 I bet you’re more calm. I’m on day 6 of stims in my first cycle and I feel much better now I’ve been through both injections. I imagine that with you already having gone through egg retrieval then you know not to be scared from experience.

@Feliciacat that's probably it too. It's like been here before. Also less side affects this time too. Had a headache for the whole time I was on Bucerelin last time round. I'm fine this time. I think my body is used to it more. I also did 2 rounds of IUI so it's all much easier now.

I'm actually day 7 of stims so we are very close to eachother.
Have you had many tries before or first go?

@ClaireBear101 it’s my first ever attempt at assisted reproduction. The consultant told us to go straight to IVF as I have very low egg reserve so we couldn’t afford the time it would take to try IUI.

I can see from your post that it’s your second try. I’m sorry it didn’t work out the first time. I suppose all you can do is try this time around and hope for the best. I hope it goes well!

My monitoring scan is on Monday. I’ve heard stories of cancelled cycles from other forums so I’m a bit paranoid about that. When’s your monitoring scan?

@Feliciacat I think it's a bit different here in Ireland. So my next appointment is my down Regulation scan on Thursday. That will determine whether I'm ready to add on the second injection or wait a day or 2.
They said there was no real issue last time and an extra day or two should improve my chances this time around.

I'm 36 and in same sex couple so no major issues. Health is good, have been trying to get to a healthier weight but doctor is happy that we should have better shot this time.

First go can be successfully I have heard many people who it worked first go. 2nd is always higher chance though once they have an idea as to how your body reacted etc.

We can count down together and I'm here if you have any questions.

Does anyone here have any experience of duo stimulation? It’s where you carry on stims after egg retrieval to get some of the follicles that were slower to develop. I’m not sure if my clinic offers it (Care Fertility) but I’m going to ask at my next scan on Monday. I’d be interested to hear others’ experiences as I’m not sure how common it is. I found it by chance when I was googling last night.

@Clairebear101 I'm on my second round hoping to give our little boy a sibling. I'm 42 I've my down regulation scan on Thursday too.
